"Someone tell me who in the seven sodding hells were these paramilitary nutjobs were." After the Neutralizer, Guts also used a Smelling Salts, Nostrum and Mead.

Wally attacks Chemist B from the back row. Guts attacks Chemist C, Acolyte A and the Abomination from the front row.

We'd have a lot less cowards in the hall. Half of them will die, the other half will be forced into bravery.

Another solution would be to stop allowing people to do nothing.

Guts looked down at the small imp. Guts took a moment to consider his state. Gems can be imbued in shields, which means you can take them out. If a shield has an elemental immunity, it has a gem in it, unless stated otherwise. I think the only thing I have seen that in is in a torch type weapon though. The shield is locked to Black Knights no matter what.

Pro-tip for the casual turncoat: Make sure the members of your intended new allegiance want to have you on their side, before switching sides.

Uh, yeah, usually we get to talk to NPC's before we get thrown into the next battle. Guess what the first thing is I'm going to do after this battle (assuming we win). Pff, I had like one Special Damage in Quest 72....

Actually Guts has been knocked out a bunch of times, in quest 52 twice if I remember correctly. Still, compared with others, that maybe isn't a whole lot. Nah, in your case, it's an achievement, in mine, they just try to do it because they want to prove a point.

If I may offer a solution? I would drop the base WP down to 3 or 4, that would make it at the most powerful a 27 or 36 weapon, for 1350 cost max (I have seen gems go for less than 50 gold, so probably way less), that still seems like an incredible deal to me.

Not what I mean Jimb, I got some serious unreasonable, personal flak for some of the concerns I voiced in the past. I'm all for debates over things, it will probably be the best way to deal with controversial things.

Apparantly people don't like it and start shouting at me when I point out flaws in drops, battles or mechanics, and people take it as me trying to wrong them instead of what I hope to be doing, improving the game. So I'm not going to do that anymore, but I think I should still be able to voice scepticism towards things.

What are you saying? Sandy decided to nerf that after I voiced my concerns. I think it was the right decision, and it also was most likely a drop I would have gotten had it not been nerfed, so whatever?

Hey I'm not ruining anything. I'm sceptical, but I'm not saying it should be nerfed. I'd just get shouted at again!

Hm. I think you are overestimating the effort it'd take, keep in mind there are three people that already imbued some stuff with all gems, and others that also have most gems, especially with Elpheba right around the corner. It's your call, of course.
