ಠ_ಠ Oh dear. I can say that I am not a big fan of this, whatever it's supposed to be...
-
Comic 7 was by far the worst comic in the series. The pacing was absolutely dreadful. And for some reason, the raw quaza was blue rather than red. If I hadn't seen the Savage Planet episode, I likely would have had no idea what had even happened in most of the comic.

Never got into the whole BZPower thing, so I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, but I'll take a stab at it and assume it has to do with fans coming up with random ideas and Greg accepting them into the canon. If so, I will be even further disappointed in Greg Farshtey's work. I honestly thought Bionicle went severely downhill. At least he's doing alright with Ninjago and Hero Factory. Speaking of disappointment, I too am not happy with LEGO's decision to take a fake name and slap it on a character because they couldn't come up with anything original. I doubt that the picture is shopped, I don't see any reason why Vinyl Scratch would lie to us like that :|
-
As Dorek already said, the name was already confirmed to be made up, and it was also confirmed that they still had not even chosen a name for Rocka yet. They hadn't come up with anything.

That big guy appears to be Maxilos.
-
Who's that orange fellow in the third pic? He looks an awful lot like an orange Stormer, but with the arms reversed.
-
So here's what I've gathered from this: Hero Factory's prison is within a black hole. Black Phantom is a machine with no gender programming like the other characters (note the usage of "it" in BP's info). Thornraxx's home planet is probably called Hive. The Hero Factory is still using the acid resistant metal armor that they had in Core Crisis - Evo's using it this time. Splitface has two personalities, so he was probably two separate characters that got sewn together after they were severely wounded, kind of like Rack'N'Ruin from Transformers. Or maybe he was just built like that.

First thing I thought when I saw Jawblade was "Wait is that Fangz's head?" But then I learned how to use my eyes and figured out that it wasn't. Now they look absolutely nothing alike whatsoever to me.

Oh God what did you do to Breez on that first page ಠ_ಠ The rest is really cool. Though the fourth wave depictions of the heroes look like they're humans wearing armor. Intentional?

REVIEW: Three Ninjago books
Play With Fire replied to Aanchir's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think I'm going to pick up the Zane story. I ended up taking the time to look it up on Amazon and was able to look inside of it to get some tidbits of it - looks fantastic. I was expecting something much more juvenile. Zane's encounter with Nuckal was actually... humorous. And funny that it mentions Bonezai as being a mad scientist - in the cave system underneath the Ninjago Monastery in LEGO Universe, some of the enemies are literally Skeleton Mad Scientists! Thanks for the review. -
My life will be complete once the Glatorian heads get remolded too ;D Great news about the foot piece though. I might just get Toxic Reapa so I can use his feet on my revamped Waspix.
-
Maybe the green ninja is Cole? Earth Spinjitzu has been associated with the color green before.
-
Just don't get your hopes up quite yet, Toxic Reapa still has the old Shadow Matoran feet that have not been remolded.
-
Another item of note is that there's a faint green snake symbol "painted" into his robe in the upper right hand corner. So he is clearly allied with the snake men in some sort of way.

Though I am generally excited for this upcoming wave of figures, I really don't think I'm a big fan of all of the heroes either. In the past I liked the designs of every single hero that they have done, but now some things just don't feel like they were done right. Surge's armor just doesn't look good to me, and Evo just feels somewhat generic, I can't place why though. I also don't like how large the three main characters are, though I do like their designs. I'm a big fan of Rocka and Breez, and Furno's pretty good I guess. The main reason I like Rocka is because of that sweet ammo chain and helmet though
-
I can say I like the concept (Fire Lord looking more... fiery) but I'm not really down with the execution of it. The color needs a lot more work, it looks like it's just all over the place. Basically, what the other guys said. I like how it's built, just don't really like the cladding placement and some of the clutter on the back area.

2011 NINJAGO sets
Play With Fire replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Aanchir! Y u no post book review? :P It's fine, take your time. I just really want to know more about Ninjago, because I currently find myself perplexed at most of it. -
I fail to see anything new about the connection. Looks like the same thing they've been doing since the 2.0 figures.
-
Seeing as how Toxic Reapa still has the original versions of the Shadow Matoran feet, I seriously doubt that the Glatorian heads have been fixed.
-
Lloyd looks like a little kid dressed up for Halloween... d'aaaaw. He's not intimidating, he's ADORABLE! I still need to get a good look at the snake men. Nya looks like a badass in that samurai armor.
-
Then buy the new Furno set and Jawblade
-
The rocket boots were always there.
-
"Black Hole Gang" eh? Sounds familiar... ;) Fracture looks really neat, a lot more alien than the regular set characters. Gotta love it!
-
Is it just me, or does it look like Black Phantom is in... oh no... He's in the Hero Factory's Assembly Tower. Oh crap. This just got real. Looks like 2012 is going to be really exciting!
-
Those simple touches made on Black Phantom somehow make him look a LOT better. Still disappointed in the usage of the Glatorian heads, the faces just don't look right to me anymore and the transparent colors don't work to me. I also don't like the lack of a chest plate, but I suppose there isn't one because it would limit the posability of the crappy Glatorian heads.
