  1. I've a feeling that Jay's decal being labelled "Air Ninja" probably just has to do with the decal artists not giving a crap about the Ninjago story. But that's just me. Anyone want me to post LEGO Universe Ninjago Skeleton enemy concept art? I'm worried the pictures might be too big, but I could just link to them on the LEGO Universe Wikia, which is where I found all of these things. No idea where they find all this treasure, but it's really amazing. I always look at the "recent pictures" section to see if there's any new concept art.
  2. Finalized textures for Ninjago armor. Probably went along with the unique shoulder and head armor in the other picture. The first picture I posted had the name "NewLevel3 Armor ColorChanges." This picture says that these textures are for "Level 3" (normally Rank 3, a term reserved for the highest tier of faction-based specialty kits in LU). So they are likely linked, with the first picture being an early concept.
  3. Gentlemen, I present to you some Ninjago character armor concepts for a LEGO Universe content release that had been planned for 2012. Pretty neat stuff, huh?
  4. Speeda Demon... has a red head? Looks like it to me. Also I think Stringer has a darker blue head. Overall I don't like Speeda Demon, or most of these sets in general. But at least I'll be able to make a generic Z'chayan from the Breakout game if I get Speeda Demon. For some reason I really wanted to make one of those. But what's with all the Voltix hate? His colors look fine to me.
  5. None of the pictures past your first post on the first page are showing up! However, I can see your new pic on page 2. Breez and Rocka look outstanding. The jets in Breez's feet are really cool.
  6. Oh my god. That game. I attempted to play the Furno level and failed repeatedly. So I thought, screw it, I'm playing Breez. So I go through Hive, no issues, and when I get to Thornraxx, the game froze on a (poorly rendered) shot of Thornraxx. I was stuck on that, and Breez was losing health. I couldn't control Breez, hell I couldn't even see her, but Thornraxx was attacking. This game shall never cease to amuse me.
  7. Did they remove the Hero Factory FM...? Well, now I'm sad. Those podcasts were my favorite part of the website D:
  8. I bought Black Phantom, Evo and Toxic Reapa at Target. All of the sets minus Breez and Thornraxx were there.
  9. So... Breez and Thornraxx appear to be absent from the show AND they haven't been released in the United States yet. Odd. But they HAVE been released in Europe, apparently. I honestly wonder if Breez and Thornraxx are being pushed to the next wave to make the winter wave smaller and the summer wave larger.
  10. It looks like Stringer and Voltix are being used to replace Breez and Thornraxx. Ridiculous. I wonder if Breez and Thornraxx will ever have any impact on the story...
  11. Stringer looks to be a deeper color blue than Surge in that video to me. Or I'm color blind.
  12. You beat me to it, I was just about to point that out.
  13. They're robots, couldn't they just reprogram them? Granted, if they COULD, they'd probably do that to all the villains... I'd also like to say that Black Phantom has a terrible voice and that fight scene was equally terrible. It seems like they LIKE making short, anti-climatic battles against the "big bad" characters.
  14. I don't see why they'd bother putting him in the exact same colors as Thresher though, why not choose other colors like they did with the other generics? Also, didn't they say at the end of Ordeal of Fire that the "fire villains" were going to go through rehabilitation? I'm guessing it's just model reuse again in the Breakout episode, but all of the fire villains are in the prison... There's also two Xplodes and two Corroders
  15. Anyone else notice Thresher 2.0 in the background behind Stringer at that first scene with the big hero crowd?
  16. I'm thinking of getting Toxic Reapa and Evo now that I've seen Bfahome's reviews for them (and they were very good reviews). I really hate the new Hero Core though, so I want to put on the old chest plate. What I'm afraid of is if Evo's head would look too low down because of the upper part of the armor. Can anyone confirm if 2.0 armor looks good on the new chest plate with a Glatorian head?
  17. Just noticed the sticker on the arm of that snake robot! Definitely built by Stafford (as if the snake's head design didn't give it away). I think I'm gonna get that set, looks like it has some really great pieces. I don't really like how the blade of the scythe isn't centered though. Oh well.
  18. Is it just me or are the Green Ninja's eyes really close together compared to other characters? The green ninja had aspects of all of the ninja: he had control over fire (Kai), he had extreme strength (Cole), and... wow, somehow I can't remember the things he had in common with Jay and I only watched those episodes about four or five days ago. But anyway, I thought it was worth mentioning that he was similar to all of them because Lord Garmadon has control over all the elements (albeit "unbalanced"). So since Lloyd Garmadon is Lord Garmadon's son, maybe he could potentially have control over all four elements, leading to similarities to the ninja masters of each one? It seems like kind of a stretch to me, but remember, Greg Farshtey is the one coming up with this stuff. For all we know, the Green Ninja is Lloyd from the future, which would explain him being larger. EDIT: Rocketbilly, it was stated by a scroll Sensei Wu had that the Green Ninja was one of Sensei Wu's four students. So now that I think about that, maybe Lloyd isn't the green ninja. Or maybe the scroll is wrong.
  19. So a couple days ago, I watched four of the new Ninjago episodes on Teletoon's website. Oh dear god, that segment showing how weird Zane is in the second episode. That was probably the first time I had ever laughed out loud at a LEGO cartoon. All in all, I think LEGO has really done well with this series. They did a good job at making me want to punch Lloyd Garmadon in the face, too. How many episodes aired, six? The episodes disappear off of Teletoon's website at an alarming rate, last I checked there was only one left! I guess the last two were removed before I got a chance to watch them.
  20. Why does Evo only have anti-toxic boots? Is Toxic Reapa only going to aim for his feet or something? Also, it mentions Breakout as being a game "sold separately" from the figures. So I guess it's a game you purchase? Thought it would just be on the Hero Factory web site.
  21. There are some significant moons and planetoids that showed up in Hero Factory that I think are worth mentioning. You can find them here: http://hf.biosector01.com/wiki/Locations On the map of Nimbus System it shows Ninjago as a fragment, but it is not intended to be a part of Crux. The planet was created by the First Spinjitzu Master, and it can be seen in its entirety in a panel of The Challenge of Samukai. It looks a lot like Earth, but the continents are clearly different.
  22. Those aren't martians. Those are evil aliens that invaded Mars to harvest power crystals, just like the humans. The martians were curiously absent throughout the conflict. Ninjago takes place on the planet Ninjago. Both the comic "The Challenge of Samukai" and the LEGO Universe video game have confirmed this. According to the creator of the Aquazone theme (don't remember the source, I know I read it somewhere on Eurobricks, I think in an old Seatron thread...), Aquazone was intended to take place on an aquatic planet. The 2007 Aquaraiders theme was already confirmed to take place on Earth before Atlantis. Its website said it was in the Bermuda Triangle. Edit: This is directed at the creator of the thread: I think it would be a good idea to add moons and other significant locations instead of just planets. I'm pretty sure that there have been some alien races mentioned to live on some moons, so they're pretty important. Can't think of any off the top of my head. Also, maybe add names for the fragments of destroyed planets like Crux and Spherus Magna? Just a thought.
  23. I say Evo's hand is supposed to be within the gun, Samus-style.
  24. Hush now, I meant an actual arm with a hand. Or you're just joking around, it's kind of hard for me to tell on the internet.
  25. That's a really cool explanation. But after he loses his arm in battle, couldn't he just go back to the factory to get a replacement arm...?
