  1. What do you mean with false advertising?
  2. Okay, understood. Of course the above example is too much. And pictures will be clean from all sites. Also if I want to sell a bunch figures at once, how about something like that: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-125081/Elegant Bricks/professioanl-minifigure-series-display-stand/#details
  3. Hi, I am not very creative. I am looking for a very nice stand/scene/presentation for my minifgures, that I would like to sell. Of course I could put them on a plate, but I do like to make a pretty scene. I am not talking about a simple display. Anyone can help out? Should be a scene for a single minifigure e. g.
  4. There is a Foestmen shield. Also picture five shows a Forestwoman (quite valuable) but it does also show a Forestmen head that was painted black (probably by a child). Meaning the figs could be pretty damaged too somehow. Hasn´t to be but if one fig is damaged chances are high others are too. A head aint a problem but rest hurts. The bulk does show at least three bardings which go for around 20 bucks each, if all clips on both sides aren´t damaged. We dont see that. Often in those bulks the most precious things are placed quite present on top. So yes there are a ton of nice items but below could be everyday parts and no more figs. $400 is quite expensive for that lot in my eyes. If I see those piles I demand that they dump it out. Otherwise you will buy it blind. I also wouldn´t by at an auction because there will be always people who know they value. The guy who bought it probably gambled that are some treasures below the surface. If not he probably has at least some money back with the items I have described. The old knights and pirates stuff could be quite precious but only if it is in a at least good shape, has instructions (most valuable) and all parts are there. Often the small valuable plumes are missing (black/blue/yellow for Forestmen & especially white Dragon plumes for the Knights) and you are left with the torso...yeah...meh It all also depends on who you are. Is it for your collection? Do you want to resell full sets? Do you own a Lego store that is selling single parts?
  5. Okay thanks...I have found one substitute for medium thickness...so still looking for the thin one...super difficult to find something
  6. Do you have original and this substitute and can you put them near each other and send a photo? :-) And do you also use the thin one? I know that some older ships using also the thin one.
  7. It´s the same? Do you have some pictures? Do you also use the thin one?
  8. No one? :-( ...Can´t be the only one who is missing those strings...
  9. So far I have found out for the Cord Thin: - 0,5mm diameter - 60% cotton, 40% polyester - not waxed ("stiff") But Google can´t find anything...it´s such a pain in the a...
  10. Do you have any link? So far I am still looking... I have found a substitute for x77cc35 (Cord Medium Thickness); but it´s not perfect. I am still looking for x77ac75 (Cord Thin)...I have tried like 30 strings from Amazon, but impossible to find one... Also LEGO support can´t tell me about the material or anything other...but I hope many more people had or have this problem, so please help me out here :-)
  11. I have found now that there A4 sheets that are halfed or quarted (insert always from the top). But how to do you prevent that the instructions dont fall out of the pocket? Those sheets are not very strong in my opinion.
  12. I have a bunch of them. Like 400. In different sizes, from super small mini micro sets & polybags to big ones. Of course I googled it, found some articles and YouTube videos but none was good in my eyes. Using 2 oder 3 clip binders and putting every instuction into a plastic sheet is good, but instructions fall out and if you store the binder upwoards like intended the instructions have their full weight at the bottom. They will "warp". So best way is to store those binders horizontally flat. Still doesnt solve the problem of instructions to fall out. But what about the tiny ones? Using a full plastic sheet for a 2x2cm instruction doesnt make sense. And some instructions are either bigger then A4 plastic sheets or thicker that they don´t fit...it´s a pain in the... :-( Also I would like to store all the small ones together in one, but they interfere with eachother and that could lead to damage... Also card boxes where you hang the instructions can´t be good as the weight also is here towards the bottom. What is the perfect storage?
  13. I am more wondering how those stores have a buyer...I guess those are the ones who uses the quick buy option...
  14. Thanks danth. Finally someone is on board and understands that this practice is a shame for this site. And that Bricklink/LEGO is closing their eyes is pathetic.
  15. Found this beauty in a box. Unfortunately the pre owner read the instructions wrong and pinched a fourth hole (bottom left) in probably the most expensive little Lego sail. So question is, let it be how it is or try to fix it and sew it from a professional sewer?
  16. Why not contact the author or in this case DK Books?
  17. Avg Bricklink is 60 cent...and I have like 50 heads like this :( Didn´t want to spend too much money at common things
  18. Some of my standard heads are fading...anyone knows best tool/pencil to fix it?
  19. Also quite expensive. I am more looking to buy 10m cord on Amazon. The set in question is 6542; so far I found out that the diameter is 0.5mm, but there are different info about the material: cotton, nylon, braided, wax etc.
  20. Looking for the typical strings in Lego sets. Bricklinks offers are more than ridicolous. Should be kind of a replica. Any suggestions or links to shops? Appreciate it :)
  21. Okay, so it´s nothing special and also not anything of rare or worth?
  22. Found that in my instruction of set 6270. The 1x1 plate is wrong; there is a lose paper (looks like 100% Lego paper) and the plate is crossed with the correct 1x1 brick shown...anyone has ever seen that? Looks super weird...
  23. Little update here. Sails got pretty neat :) Only left are now two holes to fix somehow...no idea at the moment what is best
