  1. Beautiful garden Really looks like a well tended garden, I especially like the roofs of your buildings. The stairs to the tower are a nice touch as well. Great work!
  2. @The Joker1: Thanks, that may prove to be an important part of Challenge 3, maybe
  3. I guess everyone missed my question above because I added it in to the old post. So I'll ask again I made a castle for my character as a free build, would it be alright to show some scenes involving the castle for the 3rd challenge?
  4. @gabe: Yes and no, I didn't really have a choice, but I was trying to break up the monotony as much as possible. I actually designed this castle around the gatehouse, I was really happy with the way the windows came out, and the kitchen. But the 3 things I referred to were: the door to the keep (this took me quite a few tries to get the way I wanted it), the well (even has a bucket in it), and the bush on the left front side of the castle.
  5. Great stuff! Really gives a nice feel of foreboding, I really like how you did lots of small builds The arch above the throne looks great! Looking forward to the rest
  6. Great job! Really looks nice, this castle proves thing don't have to be cluttered to look great
  7. I like this quite a bit better than your werewolf encounter Nice work on the textures of the house. The trees look good too, Glad to see another active builder
  8. I will be entering, I am probably 1/2 of the way done with the main scene. But the easy parts are what is left, I think I will have time and pieces to make a couple other scenes to go with it.
  9. Looks great! The grey house turned out nicely, the windows on the blue one look great. How much farther are you going to go with building Valholl? Glad to see another Mitgardian free-build
  10. Yup, from the magma monster (board game) set. Your tent looks great! I also really like your trees I have always been a fan of brick/plate built trees.
  11. Looks great! I imagine getting the hull to work was rather tricky. I especially like the side decorations and the oars I wouldn't want to run in to this ship
  12. Thanks, I am really trying to improve with every build. So hearing that is very encouraging. The windows were probably the funnest part to build. No one has commented on a few of my favorite parts. Anyone have a guess as to what they are? They are three things in particular. A big thanks to everyone who commented Edit:This got frontpaged over at Toys N Bricks :My link You just have to scroll down a little
  13. Yeah No one can find us now My build for Challenge 3 is coming along nicely I've had a decent amount of time to work on it, and will do some more this afternoon.
  14. The textures on your build look great I like your boat launch and road up to the town a lot too. Great job on the architecture of the houses!
  15. Great job! The look on the princess' face works perfectly My favorite part is the fireplace, it really looks like fire!
  16. Thanks guys I always include interiors, and usually have my buildings hinge open. Mostly because I like to play with them now and again 2 Much Caffeine's work really showed me that a castle doesn't have to be huge.
  17. @Christoph: 1) There are lots more pictures if you go to the link I provided, you can find some close up shots there. 2) Yeah, it does make things a little cramped. In the future I will either put the whole room on one side, or split it more evenly. I forgot to mention that the main inspiration for my build is this castle by 2 Much Caffeine: I was aiming for a small castle that still had interiors, it came out a little bigger than expected
  18. Wow that tree works really well Good work guys!
  19. Even from my Mitgardian perspective that looks great! I can tell there is going to be a lot of amazing entries to this challenge
  20. I got pictures taken yesterday but didn't have time to post them. No snow, as I am going to need that for my entry to Challenge 3, which I can start work on now So here is my free build: Sir Glorfindel's Castle in Mitgardia Link to more pictures: Mitgardian Castle And a link to thread: My link Any comments or criticism welcome! Edit: This got frontpaged on Toys N Bricks: My link Scroll down a little and you will see it. This is due no doubt to the fact that not many MOCs are posted there
  21. Sir Glorfindel's castle/home. I realized I haven't done much to show off my character, so building his home seemed like a good idea. There is no snow because spring just melted it all away Actually I'm going to need the pieces I use for snow for the 3rd challenge. Which I can start work on now All the doors open, and every room is accesible. There are stairs or a ladder to every room as well. This is the first castle I have actually completed, and my first time doing a diagonal wall/building. In hindsight, it might have been better to make the floor plan a little larger. But it works pretty well. So here are some pics: Any comments or criticism welcome! Thanks for looking
  22. My build is finished I think Just got to dust everything off, pose some figs, and take pictures Probably will have it up today. It came out a lot taller than I imagined
  23. It is the staircases that stand out to me the most, I especially like the one around the outside of the tower The whole thing is stunning There is so much to see, you really have to look closely to see all the amazing details. Looking forward to your future MOCs
  24. Great work again Ecclesiastes , with builds like this it won't be long before Mitgardia is back in the lead
  25. Here is a teaser pic of the free build I am working on , I have the gatehouse finished as you can see. Don't forget to compete in the Archery tournament either, there is a prize of 50 gold darics to the Guild that wins, plus some armour
