Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Swordy replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I argue this is true even of the comics. The only reason everyone has this idea that the Thing should be a big-fig is because of TT Games' over-eagerness to use bigfigs throughout LEGO Marvel Superheroes. While it does add to the play value, it's not at all accurate to the character. I could reference Marvel character height charts, several depictions of the Hulk towering head and shoulders over Ben, even just the idea that the Thing is a monster only for his rockish features, but a giant he is not. -
Definitely the most likely option, unfortunately. Batman/DC is too big of an IP for TLG not to have. Who knows what the new term of negotiation would be if the DCU proves a success—and even if not, Batman is too big of a icon to let fall into the hands of their competitors. Of course, WB and DC might switch over to another block-brand themselves, but then that line would be entirely dependent on the DC brand as opposed to the combined powers of the LEGO and DC brand—not to mention the LEGO minifigs are the main draw of the Superheroes line, and why we want DC revived, not the random Bat-vehicle. In the end, it’s the kid who holds onto the special toy regardless if he’s playing with it or not, because if the kid decides to, he wants that toy to himself.

Episode 9 won’t disappoint. This arc (I refuse Gilroy’s term of “blocks,” thank you) is mindblowingly spectacular. It’s tied with the Narkina arc for me as some of the best SW ever (a nice complimentary pair, the two make). I loved it so much I was compelled to buy the LEGO U-Wing at full price the day after; I await when I get the chance to build it. -

What truly defines Soup’s mech: the man, the suit, the mech, or the dish? If one of these four ingredients are swapped out while the others remain exactly the same, when does Soup’s mech cease to be? If Soup is infected with a zombie virus or converted to an intergalactic space faction founded on conquest of the Omni-verse and the total obliteration of the Federation, does the suit or mech change as well? Since Soup’s mech outweighs the minifigure by every review’s metric for value, does that mean Soup is more machine than man, or is Soup a culinary delight? What does ABS plastic taste like? How in the wide world of American baseball does Soup pilot his mech? Does Soup need a spoon to drive his concoction? If Soup in Soup’s mech is eating soup, is that inception or cannibalism? Where is Soup? Who is Soup? Nay, I’ll do you one better: Why is Soup? -

Yes indeed—Maker forbid we the people are further deprived of the one and only fabulous Babu. A new print for a BB unit is only due to the continued production of the UCS Falcon (from which we also got Rey and Porgs a couple years back), while Kylo and Poe simply aren’t in any form of continuous production. If anything, it shows how little TLG is willing to invest into Sequel sets. Tonight (okay tomorrow night maybe depending on where you live) we celebrate the small victories this year has brought us. Babu Frik is one of them. The B2 build in the AdCal doesn’t quite deliver for me, but I’m glad to see him acknowledged. Now if only we could get Kino and Bix as 27th Anniversary figures. Funnily enough I’ve used the same build for my droids for a few years now; glad to know I won’t need to worry about depleting my tan plate collection anytime a droid comes along. It has to be, right? They’re in the sameMy thought is that the STAP was thrown in as a way to inflate the price; after all, we can’t have a $40 SW buildable on shelves. I was about to say this exactly, lol. To showcase or even imply the dark moments in SW is antithetical to why TLG chose SW as their first IP partner in the first place. (In that light, it’s bothersome to see multiple Order 66 sets—however, not one set has all the necessary components to carry out Palp’s orders, so I guess TLG hopes kids won’t mind?) I still very much want the main characters of Bix and Brasso, but completely understand and respect that TLG wouldn’t want to even generally acknowledge that moment. The things one too many people online would do… I second the TIE Defender. -
Seeing the dual-molded Bat-cowl recoloured in dark pearl gray and blue is a delight to see. Shame that the Batmobile looks almost minifig-compatible.

A droid-themed calendar? I take back what I said before—this is brilliant! Buzz droid? That Treadwell from Ep IV? Fixed-up B-1 with a backpack? Snowy BB-8? Red-eyed Threepio? Probe droid? A new B-1 droid to go with my guy from the N-1?! R7 from the Interceptor? A Jawa with a lovely sweater? BABU FRIK! WE GOT THE BABU FRIK AT LAST! HA-HA! I LOVE THIS! -

The Spider-Man 2 set… oh, it’s beautiful. Love the new look for Doc Ock (although I would’ve love a more mischievous grin for “Butterfingers”), damaged suit for Tobey is another level of greatness, JJJ looks good, although his hair is lighter than it should be, and Aunt May is a delight to see. Only complaint would be the lack of train track, especially at that price of $55. Regardless, I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it. Iron Man vs Hammer Drones… I don’t know, I dig it. Hammer Drones look more humorous than they should be, but they’ll be quick additions to the parts collection anyway. It wouldn’t have been $15 with 200 pieces, so it’s not overpriced in my book. As I’ve said before, Mark VI is my favourite Iron Man suit, and depending on if War Machine is exclusive or not, I might just bite. AoU Quinjet looks magnificent. One of the few times in recent LEGO Marvel where the figures feel like a bonus instead of the main attraction, Quicksilver aside. I would’ve preferred white over LBG, but whatever. At $130 and given I already own the ‘23 Quinjet, I’ll probably wait for a discount, but I’ll definitely be keeping a keen eye out for this one. Oscorp Tower looks fine. Loving the new Green Goblin, Kraven is okay (reusing Strange’s head, I noticed) but great to see again, and for those who want Peter, Gwen, and Miles, it’s great to see them together in one, non-4+ or 18+ set. Oscorp itself is a bit underwhelming in detail, although I like the aesthetic. Other buildings are neat too. Eddie with the Venom head is absolutely hillarious. $140 is too high, but the creativity showcased is commendable. Iron Patriot vs Chitauri looks epic. $55 is too high, but army-building Chitauri is a win in my book. Seeing Iron Patriot Mk II… fantastic. (Yoinks, I’m running low on superfluous adjectives.) With that Thor and navy-blue Rocket, it might be a pick up. Peter’s Apartment is, hm, amazing? Price may be high but I don’t care—I love this set and I will have it as well. A comic-adjacent MJ is a win. Hobgoblin with the Moon Knight hood is breathtakingly brilliant. Near-perfect balance between great minifigs and wonderful build, even if a bit small. My previous comment on price aside, I think its a decent value as far as the new cycle of overpriced LEGO. Overall… wow. Going from January and April to these sets is a hard whiplash. The passion and thought put into each of these sets is evident. Very pleased, nay, I’m overcome with joy. “Character Actor Alfred Molina takes public transit” and “Eviction Notice” sets (thanks @Mandalorianknight) are a definite pickup, no questions asked. AoU Quinjet is dependent on its discount (as a frame of reference, I only got the ‘23 Quinjet at $60) but a high priority. Rest are lesser in priority and very dependent on good discounts. His coat in SM2 varies between brown and grayish green. Getting a new outfit besides the green done years before is welcome, not to mention accurate to the scene if memory serves me right. Head is reused from NWH Final Battle. My guess is that the smiley face is to reflect the moment in NWH between Otto and Tobey. -

Swordy replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My question is why not hundred sets? The number of sets per year has decreased since the TCW and Sequel years, and if the 18+ sets stayed consistent in number (or even just kept the same proportion of 50/50), that’d mean more playsets we could have interest in buying. As you say, nobody forces us to buy them, but more sets is more excitement. So again, why not have more sets than shelf space going to sets and themes no one will buy? A swing of the pendulum from one extreme to the next, the side which is unfavoured is unhappy. That’s logical. (That’s been America the past three decades.) A quick and easy way to please both sides is having a variety in sets. This was done in both winter and summer waves of 2020 and can be done again. First and foremost a LEGO fan, then a SW fan. I’ve grown up playing out stories and building janky vehicles with LEGO, and as I got older I enjoy LEGO minifigures for storytelling and LEGO sets or MOCs for the purpose of modeling. Star Wars was a later love in life, and LSW came with it because of the connection to LEGO. Unfortunately, a LSW TIE will never quite hold the same nostalgia as a City Garbage Truck; I wish I could share that feeling the majority of you seem to have. That’s very true of works of art. It’s not true of products, though, and that’s wherein TLG’s business lies, especially when it’s children’s toys. LEGO never made a set for one person alone; this I always remind myself. They pour hours into researching what the most successful toys can be made from LEGO bricks. Subsequently, they pour hours more into perceiving what the most popular version of that product will be. So should LSW try to cater to everybody? Yes, that’s their business. The fact they chose only the Clone Bros as their audience this year leaves diehards of other aspects feeling shut out, much like the Clone Bros likely felt back in the Sequel days. I believe there’s a better way of doing business than swinging hard from one group to the other, and that comes through trying to cater to everybody. With a love for all SW, it is possible to know what would make fans of each group happy (things like a main character with his vehicle, the main trio included almost perennially, an assortment of villains and background characters from each era, etc), because you yourself want to see each part of the Saga get its due justice. It was also insane it took 20 years to get around to a then-39-year old character in Zuckess, 23 years to get around to a then-45-year old character in Aunt Beru, and 25 to get around to a then-41-year old character in Nein Numb. The reign of Nass will come soon enough. I suppose a benefit to coming to SW later in life was that I was afforded access to Episodes I-VIII in one go. I didn’t mind then how TLJ throw out all the elements and threads from TFA and instead chucks in two fanfic characters to put the pre-established ones in their place, or how sloggy the bombing run or nonsensical the Capital-ship space chase was. It took the voices of fandom online to bring these points to my full realization. Nevertheless, it’s also been online fandom that’s created a deeper appreciation for those same films, including TRoS. I continue to have mixed feelings on the films, but I’m in the camp of appreciating over complaining (unless it’s AotC, because that’s deservedly derided). My favourite line of the Sequels might be the one from TLJ: “We won’t win this war by destroying what we hate, but by saving what we love.” Alright, about time somebody said it: AT-M6s deserve MORE! love for no reason other than they’re cooler than Hoth. The 2017 set is fine, great even, but in Kylo’s words we need MORE! I’m as well in solidarity with @CloneCommando99 requesting a LEGO TIE Avenger. -

At least last year saw Qui-Gon, Maul, and Ani, even if they are the three of the most repeated TPM characters in LEGO form. Granted, a yellow N-1 was near impossible, but a bit more creativity beyond buildable droids and Brickheadz would be more than welcome. Actually, 75300 (and subsequently the TIE in the TIE-Wing V X-Fighter since they I believe all that was changed was downsizing the windscreen dish) is my definition of a Chibi TIE. I’m okay with downscaling the detail, like on the X-Wing, but with the X-Wing it retained it’s size from ‘18 to ‘21; conversely, the TIE’s wing shrunk down such that it looks cute. $80-90 is too high for kids to reasonably obtain, but the size of the $45 TIE doesn’t interest me. Granted, I can grab the older TIE or build a MOC to suffice my needs, but TLG might do better in offering a middle ground TIE at around $60-70. (Oh, and while I’m making unreasonable requests, maybe recolour the TIE in sand blue too!) Very true. If TESB wasn’t the masterpiece it was, there is no RotJ, and with no RotJ there’s no Thrawn trilogy, no prequels, and certainly no Disney acquisition. As an Empire stan I’d love a pair of Lucas and Kersh figures. Maybe Richard Marquand for RotJ as well, although he’s not nearly as renown as even Kershner. Now that you mention it… oof, those wheels aren’t cutting it. Crazily enough given your unabashed love for the character, it seems like you forgot to mention Mara Jade. She’d be a pretty cool minifigure. I also support seeing Captain Pelleaon, although it’s more likely TLG will wait for him to feature prominently in Ahsoka S2 or the Filoniverse movie. Best to leave the slot open for another fanfavourite, such as Mara Jade. Speaking as someone who bought the Mando calendar… that would be a horrible idea. The only exciting part was Mando with a scarf (because he couldn’t wear a sweater but Vader can?) and Grogu. What plagued that set more was the weird rule that only figures from sets at least three months older than the AdCal can be included, so the calendar was stuck with IG-11 and army-builders. Themed AdCals would work best a year after the tie-in sets are released, but obviously then the timeline doesn’t match up. To provide an example, the exciting new clones from this year’s summer wave couldn’t be included in this year’s AdCal, but could be in next year’s calendar. It’s been almost a week, so I’ll give my vague take on the Andor situation: If TLG wants to play it safe, I still believe we can see more Andor sets, just not any figures from the surrounding episode of that scene. Even then, that scene is a far cry from what happened in Acolyte, so while that show didn’t get an sets, I don’t think an exact comparison can be made. Not to mention, as @THELEGOBATMANpointed out, Twilight (inexplicably) got a set despite its issues, since it is (again, inexplicably) very popular. So what I see is that Acolyte wasn’t popular, meanwhile Andor just might be (we’ll see if the numbers improve from S1), and that each show’s popularity is directly proportional to the it’s respective set coverage. Granted, it’s never been a pure numbers game—LEGO is a family-friendly brand that first and foremost is for kids. Nevertheless, a TIE Avenger or a Fondor, a dual-bladed lightsaber of a ship, is cool regardless whether the kid has seen the show or not, and each can be done without the characters involved in that situation. -

Maybe the reference of P2 Fox given to TLG by Lucasfilm was the same one given to the comic artists who drew Fox’s most recent canonical appearance? Maybe the LEGO designer despises the character of Fox as much as I do and made it accurate specifically to the aforementioned comic where Vader chokes Fox? (And good riddance to the clone who killed Fives!) -

Drat, I’ve accidentally deleted the same post three times now. I need to go back to backing up my comments on my device before pasting them into my post. I certainly hope so. Honestly, there’s nothing we’ve seen in the M&G footage that can fill the $70 and $100 slots—maybe, maybe the arena featuring that large gladiator could fit in one of those. (Although that builds sounds very similar to another famous arena in SW that hasn’t been done before, so I doubt that’d be the case.) On the other hand, a TIE Avenger at $70 and perhaps a Fondor at $100 sounds much more plausible to me. You’re right, though; the AT-AT shown in the footage does have a wider base than the design in Empire, so a more thorough redesign than a mere reskin could be in order. I’d love to see most, if not all the components in that fight featured inside a potential AT-AT playset, and I believe it can be done. First things first, let me join with everyone else in formally welcoming you aboard. :D Your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated. Actually, the U-Wing in 2016 was too small, in my opinion. This is the Rebellion’s equivalent to the Republic Gunship; many would have the same criticisms with a $70 Gunship as they do with the U-Wing. Nonetheless, the U-Wing is still seen as a starfighter over a troop-carrier by TLG, and for being a $70 starfighter the U-Wing is excellent. Personally, though, I’d rather have seen a U-Wing in the $140-170 range. To each his own, though; I do agree that the downscaled X-Wing is great, although I can’t say the same for the TIE Fighter. (Surely a middle-ground between Chibi-TIE and $100 starfighter can be reached, right?) On the Dedra debacle: First I’ll speak for myself. Strangely I don’t mind the faint printing as much as other people. Obviously and objectively, it doesn’t look good, but I don’t look at Commander Fox and see pink, nor do I look at Dedra and see gray; I read Fox’s torso as white and Dedra’s leg print as much the same way. The only time it does bother me is whenever I edit my photography on (poorman’s) Photoshop. Other than that time, I don’t pay attention to how strong the print job is on a minifigure. In Dedra’s or Fox’s case, the solution is rather simple. For Dedra, increasing the budget to allow for dual-molded white legs with black boots and printing black on white as opposed to white on black would be better. For Fox, it’d require nothing more than a stronger dose of ink for each and every print, but that does overall increase the budget of the minifigure. Either pay more for supreme quality or less for average quality. One situation pushes LEGO into high-end collectibles for the fringe market of adults, the other keeps LEGO as a reasonable affordable toy for the next generation. For the prices TLG is charging for sets nowadays, they should have supreme quality, yes, but why would they if people would still keep buying? As a business, it’s only reasonable for them to continue increasing the prices however far the market lets them. -

The Aslume has contributed to the economy, now to the press. One step closer to absolute political takeover. Insanity is inevitable. What did I just read. Yeah, you Brits can keep your lot of weird cartoon characters. Sam Grant feels like a name he’d use to get a way into Sam Sinister’s birthday party uninvited. First name nepotism is a serious issue, speaking from personal experience. Brilliant. It’s become my head-canon now. On LEGO lore, do y’all figure Blackwell is connected to Blacktron? If so, how? Blackwell does sport the same B logo as Blacktron II (and coincidentally on the Space Villain who is seen in the game), so it seems to implied that they are connected. -

Yo, let’s ________ GOOOOO! Big fan of Maul, and I do not mind seeing even one more show between Ep. III and IV if it involves this saber-wielding maniac. I’d love if they explored some of the action prior to S7, whether by a prologue or through flashbacks. Darth Talon is, in Morbius’s words, intriguing. Obviously Disney will want her outfit toned down, so I can see a minifig of her being made. I don’t get the hype around her other than she is a girl Sith. Still, Talon can be slotted into any time period, and her and Maul as a duo was bound to happen. Overall, I have high expectations. Let’s hope they don’t get sidetracked with monster of the week adventures and tell a strong, concise story. While multiple seasons would give us LEGO fans the greater potential for multiple sets, if the show isn’t good, it’s unlikely to be successful enough to warrant at least one set. Definitely will be included. As much as we’d love to see small, affordable playsets, it makes more sense for TLG to include Mando with his AT-RT than an AT-RT sold separately. That is, unless they employ the same strategy as they did in 2015, including Rey in both the most expensive and cheapest sets. For now, though, I lean toward the AT-RT being included. 2020 AT-AT had space for troopers inside, a winch for Luke’s grappling hook in the behind the “neck,” and for a speeder bike in the trunk. If only the troop carrying is required, that leaves space for weapons and crates, albeit probably only for kids to pull out and with which to play. RIP Manny Bothans. He was a great lost. (And people complain TLJ skimps over Ackbar’s death when Manny was ten times the figurative man Ackbar was.) This reminds me of the old fable of the three blind men who were told to feel different parts of an elephant, but gave three different for what it was. I’m firmly in the Turbo Tank category. I was supposed to be paid??? I had to get a job selling M:Tron merch just to cover my rent here! Meanwhile being political is the last thing that should be on a LEGO forum. That was @MKJoshA’s point. His comment was an attempt to nip this nasty sort of discussion in the bud, but then you went and drudged it up. If you want to have a genuine political discussion where those of us on this forum can debate what fascism is and who is acting as such, frankly that belongs elsewhere. Degrading a person to the level of Mussolini and Nazism is uncalled for when a true discussion cannot occur due to the rules of this forum. If MkJoshA said something out of turn, then call it out. However, perceiving a comment of his to be in defense of all things MAGA when he objectively did not say so is unfounded reasoning to accuse someone online. *sigh* I hate having to discuss this type of stuff right now, but I will call out a spade when I see it is objectively a spade. -

If memory serves me right (it better), the Spider Tank was rumored beforehand, but the N-1 was a very quick turnaround of rumor to reveal, no more than a few days if that. It was very clear it had been rushed to be revealed after the finale. I knew this day was coming; sad to see it come to pass though. However, TLG is finally building a factory (a huge one at that) in the US, so it’s only a matter of time before tariffs don’t matter. (I do think the decision to build a new factory in the US was partially in anticipation for the potential of tariffs; obviously not a majority of the reason, but future-proofing never hurts.) Will that bring prices down? Likely not. The fact that it only affects upcoming sets is a double edged sword(y): it means, obviously, older sets won’t be affected, but also means this will definitely be standard pricing for now on. I don’t think TLG is ready to cross over into quadruple digits just yet. $999.99 is enough of a news starter on its own. I’d argue a pretty big percentage. They do place a large emphasis on this region, since for most of TLG’s history we Americans have been able to afford specialty goods like LEGO. The outcome could be that sales in North America go down, which would’ve happened price increases or not—even tariffs or not—or that sales stay roughly the same and profits go up. It could also mean we see more penny-pinching on set budgets to accommodate for lost income, which only continues the downward cycle into which we spiral. A lot of great points in your post, I feel. Interntional deals and tariffs are shifting at the moment. Whether they stay or don’t is unclear, but TLG at the moment is being, as you say, hasty at best. Price increases and decreasing quality have been the only reasons TLG continues to have upward trends in profit. I hope a breaking point with consumers and LEGO loyalists is near. A Star Wars film centered around my favourite aspect about SW—cool starfighters—starring Ken—releasing only three days after the 50th anniversary of Star Wars! HAHA! A dream come true! Cannot wait for the movie and I expect some cool “knock your socks off” sets from LEGO. I’m really itching for a Rogue Squadron movie around Wedge, but Shawn Levy has said that this is it’s own story and I find just as much appeal in that alone. @Agent Kallus, our man in the field! (Come to think of it, don’t believe that Tokyo has any fields.) I expect kindly ask for regular updates. -

I gotta tell ya, this movie is looking fantastic. A Thingless shirt A shirtless Thing exists in the MCU! Let the comic fans rejoice. (Just overlook the Silver Surfer with long, chromatic hair. This also means that Norrin Radd has to visit a barber’s to keep his bald cut, lol.) Also, judging by the colour of boots shown in the trailer, Galactus is indeed purple. So, I say: HA! Told you so. Not sure if I want a LEGO female Silver Surfer, even as someone who’s excited for this particular cinematic adaptation. I do prefer the new design (edit: of the Fantastic car I mean!), but I agree with MandoKnight that a comic-based set would be great as well—maybe even a bit better. I slightly disagree. He reads (Reeds) as stressed moreso than sad; in his thoughts yet reserved, which can read (Reed) as depressed. Emotionless can be funny but for those who want Reed Richards as a main protagonist it would make him too much of a punch line. Does the driver even need to see out of the right side, though? He’s probably got a path on the freeway designated by Imperial programming, so I don’t think it matters. It can be seen as a microcosm of Imperial oppression: become distracted by the beauty the Empire has built, meanwhile ignoring the suffering of people around you (for as we all know, traffic jams are the worst suffering known to man). Still, I agree it’s a bizarre design choice. -

Probably not. However, we are under the assumption that something of the Sequels would sell at all. I personally believe, albeit on gut feeling and nothing else, that “playing the hits” would be viably successful, which is what TLG has set out to do already. At any rate, Sequel sets are back on the table. This being the case, though, I believe that among those who enjoy the Sequels are more likely AFoLs, who appreciate LEGO as a toy as much as a display piece, than the casual fans, who attracted to the random 18+ set. Well, there goes the relevancy of countless posts I and others have made in this very thread, lol. Clone Turbo Tank sounds great. No idea if, much less how, it’ll be worth $150 USD, but I look forward to it. I would’ve found Galactic Marines in a BP and Kashyyyk troopers with Wookiees in the Turbo Tank more interesting to me, but the later has been done plenty of times. A UT-AT still would’ve been cooler, but we’re at least past the whole “vehicle with only twelve seconds of screentime in the entire expanse of Star Wars gets one of the biggest playsets of the year” ordeal. No, the UT-AT’s fate was sealed when Lucasfilm and TLG together decided not to make it way back in 2005. What was made that year were the Jedi Interceptor, ARC-170, and Clone Turbo Tank, all of which have or are returning twenty years later. The UT-AT wasn’t seen as a marketable enough toy then, and that hasn’t changed in the two decades since. Like what you like—please do—but even I know I’ll never see the legendary Commander Doom, and we’d be very lucky to get a wave of Blacktron M:Tron sets nowadays. Forgot about that. Maybe that even BB fans like me have moved on is the reason why TLG chose otherwise. That said, I love the idea; I do love me some Bad Batch, S2/S3 Hunter is a cool look, and we are in need of Republic Crosshair to round out the OG crew. Hot Rod Snowspeeder? The only thing that it could intrigue me with would be a new windscreen; if Ahsoka’s Interceptor got one, maybe this can too? Otherwise, $50 is too much for me, not even mentioning that the described colourway and minifigs don’t sound interesting. TLG does have the rights to NASA minifigs, so, in Mark Hamill’s words, it’s possible. (I just rewatched the cantina scene, and seeing a Space Race spacesuit reminded me of just how upset George was by the budget constraints on Star Wars. Makes me forgive the amount of tweaks he made… well, until we arrive at the Jabba ANH scene.) -

The worm now becomes the master. Also I guess I’m a verb now, lol. Seeing Kylo’s shuttle, it’s an easy pass. The cockpit looks laughably pinched, and overall looks way too small to be a display piece. Kylo’s helmet looks like a standard helmet—too standard. Creating details with prints is always a boring route for me; I might as well buy a tub of white bricks and decal it myself. Moreover, the top has one too many studs, and as a result bulges out further than the rest of the mask. I was hoping for something truly novel in this case, but as is it’s not terribly interesting to me. Shame only the AT-AT Driver seemed to have any passion or care put into it. Why oh why does Brickheadz continue to see stellar character selection while the playsets only include clones? It feels like a lame cop-out from TLG whenever people complain “Where’s the main characters from the movie?” Luckily, I don’t collect Brickheadz, so I can still complain. As for those saying Obi-Wan should’ve been included, his Brickheadz from Kenobi is still available, so including him in a very similar outfit for RotS would’ve felt redundant. I don’t know how I feel about Mace having studs on top of his bald head. Looks like either his scalp is bumpy or he has very thin curly hair on top. Sums up my thoughts for the ST and RotS sets. These are great fine collectibles, but, as representations of two of my favourite SW movies, they don’t quite cut it. Sure, it’s not just me for whom TLG makes these sets, but I have to wonder how many people are going to buy these anyway? Most teens and young adults spew snarky comments anytime the Sequels are mentioned. So then, if the kids of the generation who grew up with the Sequels are the target demographic to go after, where are the 7+ and 10+ Sequel sets? Oh right, those are the army-builder clone sets targeted toward, yet again, teenagers and young adults. -

Don’t see how this is offensive to Johnny; clearly the copycat you speak of is Indy, who, when we was a lad, watched the heroic expeditions of Johnny Thunder throughout the 1920s, found a similar hat and went on to experience a taste of the adventures his hero lived. Unfortunately Indy could never quite grow that beauty of a mustache and sideburns… …say that again. HAhaHAhaHAhaHAhaHAhaHAhaHAhaHAhaHA. That’s oddly specific of a choice to excluder the lovable ol’ Dummy, so that leans further credence to your theory. However, one could argue that Dummy is the Maelstrom’s chaos and destruction personified, so maybe that’s why he isn’t seen anywhere players interact. Maybe the developers just didn’t want to villaify any of the Series 1 minifigures? Of course, (wait—shift+enter drops your next line closer to the above? The more you know, anyway,) as someone who only knows LEGO Universe secondhand, I have no clue if what I said is plausible. (Okay, why does Eurobricks only have pirate emojis? Why not Adventurers or Classic Space emojis as well? I’d be spamming this thread with Blacktron M:Tron emoticons if I could.) -

Saying it outright makes TLG sound insane. I mean, are they stupid? Maybe when we raid the LEGO House we ask them very nicely to stop focusing on the one white, male human on the Justice League besides Flash? Now imagine a LEGO DC theme like that… *we get a GL mech combo pack with just two of the set at half the price, inexplicably includes a third Batman as well* The only things I’d get from an Indy theme I wouldn’t get elsewhere would be the man Indy himself, WW2-era quasi-military vehicles and potentially real-world artifacts-that said, just look at the Ark of the Covenant for the quality of artifacts we could get. In the end, I’d rather TLG try something on their own, with their own original situations and landscapes. We the people demand Adventurers. Alright, I accidentally won a Hugo Strange CMF; I ask you not to ask but please do anyway. Would someone care to explain who this man is, besides the fact he was voiced by a personal favourite, Corey Burton? -

No way! Alright, I’m much more inclined to bite the bullet now… well, on a steep discount. (Yeah, I’m partial to short-haired Cassian, and fact we nearly went back to shaggy-haired Kassa is frightening to say the least.) Not to mention, if they already budgeted for this new print, why throw not it into the Iron Man Armory, as all new suits should be? If the issue was that it looks to similar to the Mark VI… well, therein lies the problem. Hey, Mark V is perfect—it’s everyone else that’s imperfect. I kid, I kid, but on a serious note, any of the first seven Iron Man suits—apart from Mark I obviously—look a lot better with the pre-2022 helmet, so I myself don’t need to see a “downgrade” any time soon. Agreed on Mark II, though. Funny how certain people are so willing to overlook the inaccurate helmet of Mark II, yet they cannot begin to comprehend that the ‘22 Iron Man mech IS Mark XLII. It’s a pretty cynical way of looking at things, but I might have to agree, much to my disappointment in TLG. I understand the desire to acknowledge the legacy of a beloved actor, beyond any penny-pincher’s mandate. If that’s so, then make it not about the money at all. They’re already making billions of dollars every year; surely TLG can afford to offer a set’s proceeds to charity. Smaller businesses do it all the time, so TLG have no excuse. In the end, regardless of any original intent by a designer passionate about BP, the money leads back to the Danish family’s pockets. Then again, I’m not in the plastic products business, and I’m certainly not managing a company growing at TLG’s rate, so what do I truly know?
