"I'm signed up for 9 and 10. I'm hoping to get into Quest 10, as I've been interested in visiting the Academy of Enlightenment for a while, and this gives me an opportunity to both see the establishment and help out the owners. What about you, are you signed up for any of the three open Quests?"

Should be easy, you've got a free pass into Extra Curricular Activities Here's to (hopefully) Questing together tomorrow.

"I suppose you're right. I've heard those rumors as well. And if there's anything I hate more than criminals, it's got to be criminals who act under a facade of good-naturedness in order to exploit innocent people."

Arasmyht eyed the ogre suspiciously for a moment, then abruptly nodded. "Yes, that's too bad. I hope someone manages to catch him eventually."
-
"I believe I've seen him walking around the hall. Did you manage to capture that pickpocket?"
-
"I don't know. He seems to have vanished. Probably left to an inn or something. Good riddance."
-
"Ah, Nur! You're that geomancer I met earlier, correct? How are you this fine day?" Arasmyth calls out as he walks to the table Nur and Skrall are at. "And good day to you as well, ogre! I don't believe we've met. My name is Arasmyth, what is yours?"

If I was the princess I wouldn't be smiling I like the nice little scene you've got here, but what's up with the random orange and white bricks?

Um.. Sorry to be a nitpicker, but I'm pretty sure you need to add more to your signature, Darthnihilius. You need to show how much Gold you have (right now it should be 10), how much HP you currently have and your maximum HP (Should be 7/7 right now), and your Power (Your equipped weapon power + your level.) In addition, when starting the game all players have a Potion, which you didn't list in your inventory, and your weapon should only have a WP of 3, not 4. (Your total Power should be 4 - WP3 + Level 1.)

We haven't really seen that much of Eubric... This could be in a particularly rich part of town that is kept well maintained, not in the slums.

I was reading Taming the Lions, and I was thinking: Maybe for an option, a new player can choose to be a Warrior like Seanian, where you don't have any special skills or abilities (No Shield Skill in battle, no job trait outside of battle), but then when you reach Level 15, you can be any of the Advanced Classes and switch both classes when you're between Quests. (You said that characters could switch secondary job classes, right?) Then you could choose to have a harder time than most other players in order to reap a greater reward in the future.

That's pretty awesome, Etzel. I love the color scheme, and it really projects a holy-church-type-thing aura. How much for it?

"Wizard man? Do you know where he went? I always enjoy conversing with fellow users of the arcane arts."
-
I think he meant an enemy: In which case you wouldn't want to be healing them. Unless they're undead.

Arasmyth returns to the hall to find that 8 pages a large number of exciting things had happened while he was in the doctor's office library. He walks over to the table and leans on it, asking, "So, anything new going on?"

Why are the Bonparte's and Ji Pei rivals? One is a naval force protecting the Freeport's waters and the other is a family of foreign architects. Doesn't really make sense to me. Also, if you are the first to host a Quest including one of the important family members, can you create their minifigure character, or do you have minifigs of all the important NPCs listed in the Library (like Nemo Bonaparte, Noctus Shadeaux, The Masked Man, etc. I know you have all of the Ziegfrieds because of The Missing Matriarch.) already, Sandy?

After contemplating things for a while, Arasmyth crosses out his name on the Sign-ups for Quest 11. He then tears down his revised note, and re-writes the original message(stating that he would prefer to go on Quest 10 on the back and re-attaches it to the board. OOC: Just saw that notice about reputations and such in the QM's Lounge. Arasmyth, being a mage, would probably want to be in the good graces of the Zigfrieds rather than the Guild of Invision if he knew about that.

Arasmyth notices a third Quest pop up on the Board. He quickly signs in to Quest 11, and quickly crosses out a couple of lines on his previous note so it read:

Arasmyth notices the new Quest on the board. "Ooh, I do love learning and books, and I hate vandals who destroy places of learning." He scribbles his name down for Quest 10 in addition to the Quest he had previously signed up for, as well as writing a small note and pinning it to the Quest Board. The note read:
-
That is way cool, Sandy. Nice to see so many of the characters all together. What, did you not get the Crownie's King? Or was it Sensei Wu's hat?

I've got a couple Quest ideas I might want to host once Arasmyth completes a Quest or two. What do you guys think of a game mechanic involving vehicles/siege engines? I was thinking you could get something like a ballista or a battering ram or a trebuchet or something, which would basically be like a super-powerful Weapon(Like, WP 10+), and a special that would activate if you rolled shield. But it would have an HP number (like 10), and if you rolled Damage or Special Damage, it would take the hit instead of you. If it runs out of HP, the weapon is destroyed. You couldn't heal it with a Cleric or a potion, but at Repair shops you could fix it for 10 gold for 1 point of HP. (i.e. Hero A(Level 2) is on a Quest. He finds Ballista: WP 11, Special - Tripleshot(The ballista fires 3 times to do damage to 3 foes.)Hp: 10. He gets into a fight. He rolls Damage and the ballista takes 5 damage. He then rolls hit and the foe takes 13 damage. The foe is defeated. When the Questing party enters a town with a Repair Shop, Hero B coughs up 50 gold to get his Ballista back to full health.) Of course, the price of Repairs could be jacked up or other elements introduced to keep things balanced (like in my idea for a Quest I was thinking one of the fairly common enemies would have the special Dismantle, which automatically destroys any vehicle you have.)

This isn't LotR, no matter how similar the settings seem. You really oughta try to keep your references more... subtle. But welcome to the RPG, hope you have a lot of fun.

"AT LAST!" Arasmyth bellows as the new Quest is posted. He quickly scribbles his name down for Quest 9. "I can finally test my magical prowess in battle!"
-
After the undead appeared in the Hall, Arasmyth left for his usual means of passing time - the library. He was surprised to find En Sabah Nur already there. "Ah, my fellow mage. How are you? I'd come to study necromancy and the undead to make sure the information I gave you earlier today was accurate, but it seems you've discovered my source of information yourself. So, Byblos, can you give me any information on those two topics? I believe it would be best to be well-read on the subject of undead with one running around the Hall."
-
"It is as you say it. Necromancy. A vile and despicable art, and a school of Darkness magic, I believe. It's unnatural, it is. As for all these questions on how he moves and speaks without organs, it is all done through magical means." Arasmyth turns to Elgar. "Hmpf. Don't lump me in with all the Orc haters. I've lived on the border of Baltorak for almost 2 centuries, and some of my closest friends were orcs. And besides, it can hardly be called racism when the undead aren't even a naturally occuring race."
