  1. Is DnD an IP? That's the only minifigs I have that aren't lotr or star wars
  2. Baby Bumpy Anklyosaurus Seahorse for the small category
  3. I've always wanted to try my hand at an alt build, and this contest finally gave me the motivation to do it. So I present to you this seahorse, made only of pieces from the baby bumpy anklyosaurus set. It was definitely a challenge, and you can probably see that I was running low on pieces by the lower segment. Close to all the pieces were used, since I just made coral with the remaining pieces afterward. Note: I only built one seahorse- I just combined to photos here to show off that both sides are complete. Thanks for checking it out, Math Wizard
  4. Congrats everyone! It was a ton of fun participating in this! Also, @Mister Phes have the random draws for voting also been decided?
  5. Really tough choice as I already voted for both, but I'm gonna have to go with "From Merchant to Pirate" by @Yatkuu for doing so much with so few parts
  6. Just tagging @Mister Phes so he can hear your feedback on the voting system.
  7. Ahoy Matey @Christophh! Looks like ye haven’t voted yet- just a reminder that voting ends soon. If ye vote for a critic ye gain +5 points on each entry you have submitted and +3 to yer critic score, and another +5 and +3 if ye vote for other builds. That’s an extra sixteen (16) votes that yer missing out on by not voting! Yer also gonna be entered in a raffle for a $25 set, just for voting! So raise the anchor, hoist yer sails, and go vote, before it’s too late! Fair Winds!

  19. Thanks! I'm quite happy with how all the angles lined up (eventually). I agree about your critique- I didn't really realize it until other critics pointed it out, but If I were to re-do this build it would definitely have foliage included.
  20. I think the wedge plates should be removed entirely since they add gaps to the wall. Hopefully this makes sense.
  21. I'm back! Wrapped up critiquing the last few entries and now I'm ready to vote! Certainly tough to pick my favorites after seeing so many good entries, but here's my top picks! LARGE ENTRIES: Escape from the Imperial Trading Post by @A_Goodman The Crimson Raider by @Andy-Roo Tapu Island by @Marooned Marin Steve's Hand Emporium by @bingowaldorf The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by @Samarth SMALL ENTRIES: Mini Imperial Trading Post by @SevenDeadlyStreamers and his daughter Sydney From Merchant to Pirate by @Yatkuu Steve Origins: Meeting Redbeard by @Oky "Infamous Steve and the Fountain of Fortune" by @Juhlhaus The Child - Steve's childhood by @MyFirstMOC-Hun
  22. A tough choice indeed! I had a ton of fun participating as a critic, and in doing so read a lot of the comments from the other critics. I think the comments that were the most thorough and gave the best advice were those of @Autumn . Congrats, you have my vote!
  23. Ahoy Matey @Christophh! They call me Captain Crit in these parts and I heard that polly wants a sandwich (They’re fed up with crackers apparently) - a criticism sandwich that is! (For you landlubbers, that’s 3 seas [Cs]- Compliment, Constructive Criticism, and another Compliment) [I know the contest is officially over and voting has begun, but I’ve been busy of late and didn’t get to post crits of all the last builds so I’m just starting now] Ye did a great job buildin’ this and really came down to the wire on time! I love the connection to the CMF mask- it is instantly recognizable. The build itself looks real good, so I can only think of one wee critique.right now. The two statues in the front at the bottom of the steps. They look great, but could use some symmetry- only one has a nose! Also the image looks quite grainy. Ye have to imbed images using flickr links (you can google a tutorial), not using the very limited attachment space. I made this mistake the first Eurobricks contest I entered too. Me favorite part o' this build is the upscaled mask. It instantly draws the attention and is quite recognizable. The foliage is also well placed to make it look like a jungle. Interestingly enough, this build almsot fits into my storyline as one of the tasks Steve must complete. Fair Winds Matey!
  24. Ahoy Matey! You know me by now- It’s Captain Crit, back with another criticism sandwhich for ye polly! [I know the contest is officially over and voting has begun, but I’ve been busy of late and didn’t get to post crits of all the last builds so I’m just starting now] Ye did a great job buildin’ this and writin’ a story to go along with it. The story is quite excellently written, with the pictures to tell the whole tale. I loved the edited photos from the original set as well. Your build was also photographed excellently- the presentation really makes this build stand out. The water looks quite realistic, no matter what scene, and the views through the telescope add a nice touch. This build is quite good and it was real tough to come up with a critique. The only thing I can possibly think of is that the figurehead looks a wee bit confusing. I can’t tell if the chicken and frogs are the focal point, or if they are supposed to be forming somethig else. Me favorite part o’ the build is the detail. Everything is perfect! I thought you’re last entry was good, but this one just blew me away, for it is far better! Highlights include the cannons, the rigging, the lanterns, and the deck as a whole! Fair Winds Matey!
  25. Ahoy Matey! You know me by now- It’s Captain Crit, back with another criticism sandwhich for ye polly! [I know the contest is officially over and voting has begun, but I’ve been busy of late and didn’t get to post crits of all the last builds so I’m just starting now] Ye did a great job buildin’ this (especially considering the timeframe) and writin’ a story to go along with it. I especially like the scene by scene aproach of your story- it works quite well. Of course it all began with a barrel of rum… what better way is there for a pirate to start? This build is quite good (I wish I could build things this good this fast, but even a small build seems to take forever), so I only have a small critique; where the wall bumps out around the window. The angled plates where the wall goes back to flat look somewhat odd, and create a gap that you can see therough the structure. I would remove these and just span the gap with a longer brick or plate. Me favorite part o’ the build is the texturing. The clean smooth wall with curved tops and the occasional outset brick looks great, as do the plants growing up the side, and the simply studded terrain. The little roof has just the right balance of stud and tile and the occasional masonry brick in the base suits the scene perfectly somehow! Fair Winds Matey!
