There’s a video of some designers at comic con talking about the Mansion. They specifically reference how the leviathan released after the tower and say ‘we’re not done yet’. I would say a standalone sentinel set is pretty much guaranteed. Either way, definitely getting some more x-men stuff. -

It actually scales a lot better with the other Marvel Modular’s than it does with the non-marvel Modular’s. I hadn’t really noticed before but I feel like the Marvel ones have their own, slightly smaller, scale going on. -

I just now realised the objects floating near Jean are supposed to represent her using TK. I thought they were just exploding in the battle. Iceman looks to have leg printing and that hair on gambit looks much better. -

Lots more mansion pics leaked, including interiors. Interiors look good but very tight! Sentinel looks pretty perfect to me. Whats interesting is that one of the pics (of cyclops and gambit fighting the sentinel) seems to have an alt costume for Bishop in the background. -

I thought it was mystique for a second! Looks good, shame they didn’t go with green for Charles’ suit -

Haven’t seen anyone mention the comics Sam Wilson Cap coming with the new Character Encyclopaedia (itavix_bricks). Looks like a really nice fig and a great set of dual-molded, printed legs for upgrading your other cap figures. I actually prefer it to the cmf version. -

Antman now too, they’re on Reddit. Dual molded legs for cap but no printing on them. -

You are definitely the problem here, not him. -

Well I’ve made my points, I won’t belabour them. I think we can safely say TLG will have put more effort into figuring out what children will or won’t ask their parents to buy them than anyone on this forum. I’ll leave it there. -

There’s a subtle distinction you are missing. When I was a kid I had heard of Freddy Krueger sure, but I hadn’t seen any of the movies and I didn’t have a connection to the character where I would have wanted to ask my parents to buy me a toy based on him. Hypothetically, if Lego had made a Freddy Krueger toy back then, I’m sure there would have been some of the more edge-lordy kids wanting it because they knew it was forbidden, but would it have outperformed the Phantom Menace sets that were coming out at the time? Children want toys based on characters they know and love from watching them on screen. I’m sure lots of kids have heard of Deadpool but they don’t know him well enough to want a toy. Also just to reiterate, I’m talking about children, not teens. -

So you think the majority of 5,6,7,8,9,10 year olds are sneaking into cinemas and watching an R-rated movie. As I said I understand that a few young teens will see the movies. The majority of children will not. -

How? What media are they consuming with Deadpool in? I understand there will be some who read comics and some who have watched the films but I’m talking about the majority of kids. -

I’m not convinced it would make money. Which is more likely the reason they don’t do it. I would imagine adult figure collectors are a vocal minority and the vast majority of Legos consumer base will still be children. Most children don’t know who Deadpool is. Most people seem to be saying Lego won’t touch an R-rated character because they are afraid of backlash but I think it’s more likely they wont do it because an R-rated character won’t be well known by kids and therefore won’t sell well. -

Whether you like it or not (and please let’s not get into a discussion about our own feelings on the matter, this isn’t the place for it) Lego and Marvel have both shown they (at the very least want to appear to) care about diversity and representation. It’s not hard to see why they would pick 3 white men, one woman and a black man over 5 white guys (assuming it’s Fury, not Banner). Scarlet Witch is kind of the biggest female character from a recent successful movie (let’s assume the poor financial return on the Marvels put them off Carol and Kamala) and Nick is easier to include than Sam (no wings) - I can kinda see how they got there. I think Fury is the oddest choice tbh. -

Good point that’s logical, although they are making a Superman mech vs Lex Luthor rather than a Lex Luthor mech vs Superman so I don’t think we can count on logic. A symbiote suit spidey mech might be too similar to the recent Venom mech, although that wouldn’t necessarily stop them making it. -

I don’t know this for a fact but I’m guessing the reason we’ve never got spider-verse tie-in sets before is because it would require a separate license with Sony. Assuming that hasn’t changed this will more likely be spider-verse adjacent rather than a direct interpretation of scenes from the movie. Excited to get a new Ultron in such a cheap set, hope it’s a bit more comic-based as the mech figures tend to be. -

Iron Man and the Guardians were not popular recognisable characters before their movies came out. Any character can be written well. Anyway let’s keep it to Lego. Quantumania and Marvels getting 1 set each has nothing to do with their box office performance, it will have been decided way before that would be known. If anything it was probably the poor sales of the Eternals sets. Star Wars sets numbers and prices for 2025 are out, hopefully we get the Marvel ones soon and more importantly I hop the prices aren’t outrageous. -

I thought the figure in the War Machine mech felt pretty comic based to me, with the lighter colour arms and face plate. In fact I was thinking it would pair well with the Iron Man in 76263. -

I don’t think there were many people excited when they announced the first Guardians movie and it ended up amazing. Why don’t we wait until there are at the very least trailers out before we start writing things off? -
