  1. I, for one, would like more UCS with minifigs. Like a UCS CTT with 4 pilots and a few passengers. That wouldn't compromise the 'spirit' of the UCS line. It would just make the set a hot seller because of the minifigs. If they put exclusive minifigs in there, it would make sales even higher. The times are changing, as more and more adults get back into LEGO. Don't you think that they would want accurate ships from their childhood combined with the endless playability of figs? I know I would. And I'm a PT fan, even though I was 15 when ROTS came out. I just can't compare the two trilogies. The OT has that classic feel, though it does have its own faults. I admit, when I first watched ANH, I was underwhelmed. But I have come to love all three movies in the OT, despite the obvious bad CGI. The PT had better special effects, but TPM was a little...stiff. Then AOTC came out, and I was amazed. I was 12 by then, and it was just what I had wanted. Armies, lots of fighting, and monsters. The clone army was my favorite part of the entire movie, as I imagine it was for may other children at that time. But I had not been introduced to LEGO yet, and only had a few action figures. I was introduced to LEGO in 2005, but at that time I had no idea they had a SW line. But now I am a huge fan of the SW line, and though I may not always have the funds to buy a $400 UCS set, I still love them.
  2. I wonder if the UCS R2 will be like the Commander Cody promotion: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Commander_Cody_Figure
  3. Sorry if I came across as rude. I was just trying to say what I saw on my computer. But I really do hope that the hood is grey, because if it is just black, than all this opportunity would be wasted. If they made a grey hood, then they could make, say, a Dark Red hood for the SW theme. If they continue this trend of recolored headgear in the NinjaGo theme, then we could have all those recolors of parts that we need for our MOCs. Also, it would put TLC in too deep. (As in, making so many new moulds and recolors that it becomes a standard.)
  4. The other day I was painting one of my Clone Troopers, and I noticed something wierd. I was using acrylic paint for the first time on a clone, and when it dried, it came out....chalky-feeling. So I scratched it with my fingernail, and it rubbed off. But now my clone looks like it is dirty, because the paint left traces of color on the plastic. If I can snap a picture of it I will post it later, but for now I just want to ask: Has this happened to you when putting acrylic paint on Lego?
  5. Okay, just came up with a storyline idea over dinner. What if this theme put the humans as the antagonists? Something like a peaceful island where dinos live, but people discover it and decide to build a city there? That would explain the buildings in the background, and it also would introduce an interesting plot. What if the human race was the "bad guys"? That would explain the dino-hunting as well, because the people would have to get the dinos out of the way so that the citydwellers wouldn't have to live in constant fear. Also, this would increase possibility for the theme, such as the city gets halfway built and citizens start to move in. Then the sets could be houses and offices that the dinos attacked. Then the hunters have to come and stop them. The sets right now are more 'capture the dinos' type things, but what if that all changed in the next wave. What if the President of Legoworld decided that the dinos are too much of a pain in the a$$ and ordered the hunters to kill off the rest? Then we could get the best of both worlds--the peaceful approach of Dino 2012, and the big guns of Dino Attack. This also increases the possibility of seeing more herbivores, as it would make the island or whatever look peaceful and make it have the order of nature, as in carnivores eat herbivores, etc. etc.
  6. 1-That torso is LG's torso, but it is gray. You can see comparison in the pics of the Rattle-Copter and the Destiny's Bounty. Look at his torso, then look at Gramadon's. They are clearly different colors. 2-I think you mean that it isn't grey, and in that cas you are wrong. As I said, his body is grey, namely Dark Bluish-Grey. And in the booster pack, his body is LG's, but black, unlike the Rattle-Copter. And in the booster pack, his hood is lighter than his torso, so if his torso is black, than the hood is Dark Bluish-Grey. But if his torso is Dark Bluish-Grey, then his hood is Light Bluish-Grey. On another point, 2012 has many old molds in new colors, especially headgear. Look at the Dark Blue hood on the Barris Offee from the SW line. Or how about the Dark-Tan IJ fedora in the Dino line-up. You may have seen something I didn't, but from what I have seen, I am absolutely sure that his hood is going to be grey.
  7. Nice! You downsized him and greatly increased his articulation, and he STILL is taller than a Hero!
  8. Can you post a picture of the MOC next to a Hero?
  9. Did anyone else notice that most of the sets use a dark red Exo-Force robot arm? That 'Jake Raines looking minifig' has Jake Raines' face, a tan Indiana Jones fedora, and the new dino hunter-type body. That's all I can see of him. I wonder if these figs have backprinting?
  10. But, as said before, that dino in the smallest set is blown up on the computer. For proof, look at the picture and compare the studs on the dino and the one on the plant. The stud on the dino is a lot bigger than the ones on the plant and on the car. So the one in the base is the actual size of that dino. Also, the dino in the Jeep set is a raptor, as told by the preliminary names. The preliminary name was 'Raptor Attack'. The smallest set's preliminary name was 'Hideout of the Celeophysis' (Sorry if I spelled that wrong.) Thus, the small dinosaur IS a Celeophysis.
  11. Didn't you hear earlier in this topic? Wolffe is angry because all of his squad is dead. He's got all new shinies to train. So no Comet, Boost, or Sinker. They're dead. All of them are dead.
  12. My theory is that they will finish with this team, then make another team of 9 and take them through a parallel storyline. (eg. This team fights more of Von Nebula's goons, etc., etc.) Then, after this second team gets to Breakout, they switch back to Furno and the gang for 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, and then something like Breakout. Thus, the cycle begins again. (Was that a little hard to understand? If so, I will gladly explain it in greater detail. )
  13. To add onto your point, exactly none of those new droids are used in ROTS. Why, Lucas, why? More individual clones are nice, as it shows character development. But if the CIS had tactical droids and commandos, why not use them on Kashyyk?
  14. I tried to pronounce it.... I should have listened to you! But that looks really good. Where's his face, though?
  15. I have never heard of Babylon 5, is there a wiki page for it? But exellent MOC anyway, it is bieutifully done, and it looks accurate to the reference. Are you planning to do any more MINIs from this series?
  16. I meant did you get inspiration for your ship from this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Eta-2_Actis-class_light_interceptor It was just a similarity I noticed, I meant no offense to you creativity.
  17. But I'll still be getting that booster pack for the hood! As soon as these come out, expect a custom Starkiller from me!
  18. I can't believe that Biggs Darklighter decal! I want one!
  19. I, as a hardcore SW fan, recognized that piece instantly. It is a SW blaster rifle without a scope so a new clip piece and syringe can attach to it. Now I really can't wait for these sets!
  20. Sign me up, I will do a Hoth dio, if I can get my camera to work.
  21. This really looks like the "real" thing, 'Masked Builder'. It looks a little short, though. Also, the legs have 3 joints, not 2 like you did, so maybe make the legs a little longer?
  22. UCS RGS would be awesome, as it is my second favorite SW ship.(ARC-170 being my favorite.) But I wanted a whole squad of 8 CDs, but I only have 1 black BD legs.
  23. Great 'figs, 'M<0><0>DSWIM', exellent posing as well. The only problem I can see is that Rex's Jaig eyes are placed like this: ^ ^ In the show, his Jaig eyes are closer together, as seen here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:RexPhaseII-IGN.jpg But otherwise, great work!
  24. Awesome small transport, though it looks like the Separatists support you! Was this based on the Eta-2 Jedi Interceptor at all?
