LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion
mantax replied to THELEGOBATMAN's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
finally a magazine that I'm interested in getting, the last one I got was the Imperium Claw Hunter. I expect that we are getting one of the generals next, I feel as if Jordana is more likely, but I'd personally rather have Cinder. Now last year the Summer wave minifigures started in July, but I think that this year it should be different, since the crystalised minifigures were for quite a long time because of the 2nd Core wave. So I expect that it would be a bit later. Now my next minifigure prediction is Climber Cole, since it was a while since we had him, and I do love all the massive hammer builds that he gets in the magazines. I also expect that the new wyldfyre would be included, since she is one of the new ninja, and we got both Arin and Sora already, also I think that her March suit would also be included in the summer sets, since it didn't apper in the show yet. So she is really likely. -

I've just noticed that the minifigure renders that we got before perfectly align with the sets as their side box art: Zane with the Zane's ice bike / Sora with the Arena / Lloyd with the combo vehicle / Cole with Cole's titan dragon mech / Ras with The source dragon of motion. And with that I also had a theory that the exclusive Cole minifigure from the mech is actually just a regular tournament Cole. That is because with the priliminary images the minifgures usually have just plain white torsos and legs, while the accesories(like half masks for example) use the regular color. The Cole minifigure is said to be mostly white with some orange parts on him, so that could only be the orange half mask, which is featured on the regular Cole. -

The new Arin looks great overall, I especially like the pockets on his torso. The dark blue mask feels really out of place, since he doesn't really have that color on his suit. If he had a bit of that color on it, it would look a lot better. So with that only Kai and Nya didn't have their suits reveald early. -

The Z-blob the knight is the first dreamzzz set to have three build options. First is the regular knight mech, then a simillar mech build, but with a big printed transparent part with Z-blob's eyes instead of a regular head, and two big cannons on the back. The last one is a centaur in which there appers to be a six stud shooter on the tail. The alt build for the C-rex is a pteranodon. I also noticed that there is a small bike for Zoey included. The C-rex has an oppening hatch in the chest, so that's maybe used to store the bike. Alt build for The midnight Raven is a hut on legs and a spider. In the previous sets when you got to the point of choosing which option to build, the base builds that you had at that moment could work on their own. Like for example the Mr oz car, was a fine 8 stud wide car before the upgrade. But in the C-rex and Z-blob the knight the build that you are left with is just a box, with the only exeption being the Raven. It isn't really a big deal, but still it was always nice to see that you basically had a functional build already. -

That was unexpected to have some of the set images now. The evil versions of the heroes look great, especially Izzie. The new designs for the regular heroes look quite interesting from what I can see. Cooper has this weird robotic design, which is odd. I'm not really the biggest fan of the yellow on Logan, and I still would have liked to have just a regular version of him. But I would need closer images of them to have my full judegment. The neverwitch's midnight raven - this is easly my favorite set. It looks like a scrapped chima raven tribe build, and I do love that. That recolored nrg Nya tail piece on neverwitch is a nice inclusion, and I do also like that wheelchair piece in gold. It's nice to seethe Crystal pieces from Ninjago being used again. At only $100 this set might be a must buy for me. Cooper's dinosaur robot - From the names I had high hopes for this set, but from the images I'm not a fan of it. It just looks like a mess of parts and colors. I did like the scrap aesthetic of the Salvage mech and Dieselnaut from ninjago, but they had at least a solid color scheme. Maybe I'd like it more later, like I did with Zian, but I don't really know about that. Mateo and Z-blob the knight - The Ninjago titan mechs only had some anime mecha inspirations, and they felt mostly like their own thing. But this is just straight out of some mecha anime. It looks really solid and bulky, that easly explains the $130 price. While I do like it quite a lot, I don't think I'm actually going to get it, since $130 is quit a lot. -

I didn't see that at first. That makes me like the new Cinder even more. Now the generals would have more personality to themselves, since that was my biggest problem with the first versions of the two generals. -

A new Cinder minifigure leaked. I'm a big fan of his new design overall, I'll even say that I like this version so much more then the first. The new armor piece mould looks great, I'm not sure if this will be the final version, but even with only one color it would still be fine. The ghost tail piece is a nice touch, but it would have been better if it was gray. The torso matches the descriptions for the wolf clan, and the leaked Lord Ras. I also expect that this torso would be reused on Jordana. -

I have to say that season 2 was amazing, even better then s1. I can even place it as one of my favorite seasons of the show. But it was just part 1, so my opinion could change now for some spoilery stuff: -

You misunderstood my point. I meant that saying that you want a theme to retire, and not a theme retiring. saying that doesn't really give anything new, and it feels just pointless. However just standard criticism is completely fine, like the stuff you said here, with which I completely disagree, but it's just your opinion and I can respect that if you are not pushing it as a fact. -

I feel as if this is a april fools joke by you, I'm not 100% sure, but this sounds a bit off. But unrealted to that as an recomendation, I feel that overall saying that you want for a theme to retire is the worst thing you can really say in general. Maybe you could not be a fan of a theme, however there are still many people that love it. I could easily say that Harry Potter should retire, but it's one of the best selling themes, so saying that feels a bit like whining(if you are only looking at it as Lego theme and not for the controversy, which is actually a valid argument). -

A new teaser trailer for Chaos theory is out, and with that I feel like it's less likely for the sets to be based on it. There is no blue t-rex or a stego in these footage, but they could still be there. But I don't know, a T-rex is something that they would reveal in something like that. The other thing is how important are the atrociraptors, they appear to be the main plot point. So it's really odd to not include them in any sets, especially when there is already a mold for them. I don't think that they could be included as side dinos in any of the sets, since the sets always have the names of every dinosaur included, even if they are not the main part( T-rex and atrociraptor breakout / visitor center). -

This two sets definitely won't cover all the essential stuff. In the Stego set they could only include Ian, Eddie, Nick, Sarah. In the T-rex set they are also the only characters that would fit, But they could do the same thing as in the Visitor Center and include Kelly, plus maybe some of the Ingen people, since they appered at the end of that scene. But with that I could see them only including two of them max, but from the Ingen crew we would definitely need Ludlow, Tembo, Ajay, Dieter stark and Robert Burke. With Ingen I also think that some of their vehicles would need to be included. I feel like all the stuff that I said would cover all the most important stuff, but there are also some stuff that, if they weren't included it won't be too bad, but it would be great if they were. first the TLW raptors, with that facility, Then the T-rex car chase in San diego. -

This sets are definitely not based on Camp Cretaceous, unless they are completely made up(I don't even think that there was a Stego in the show). There still could be a small chance for that since the previous CC sets weren't really accurate, but they were at least accurate in spirit, and the only thing accurate here is a T-rex. But I'll say that there is a bigger chance that these will be based on Chaos Theory. I personally still think that these are based on TLW, there is just too much coincidence for that to not be true. The only thing that's off about them is the T-rex colors, but I saw that one other post here makes a great explanation with it being a night version of the t-rex. But I guess only time will tell for that, since there could be other reveals for Chaos Theory (Toys, clips, descriptions for the show), and they could reveal any of the things listed on the sets. -

The Tournament Temple City from the description appears to be the one featured on the Dragon Stone Shrine, but I feel like that was expected. The minifigure selection seem to align well with the Tournament arena from the descriptions, since Sora, Kai and Jay would be the only ninja missing in this set. I don't know what to really think about that. I wanted for this set to be an all in one set, so having all the ninja included in it, since the Temple City costs a lot, and you wouldn't want to buy even more sets with that. But now if you want the full ninja team you need to buy a $50 / 38€ set, and you don't even get Ras with that, but I don't really know about that, since that could easily change, since this information is probably from priliminary images. What I also realised with that is that there are 2 options to get the full ninja team that cost the same price ($300). option 1 - $250 Temple city + $50 arena. 2 - $50 Arena, $150 Source dragon, $10 Zane Bike , $90 Combo vehicle. -

With the names I think that the sets are like 99% based on The Lost World. the thing that is holding me back a bit is the color of the T-rex, but LEGO isn't really know for making accurate colored dinosaurs. while on the other hand the stegosaurus is perfect for TLW. The other thing that's a bit weird is the Bumpy, who just doesn't really fit with TLW sets Now I'm really excited about the sets. The Trailer from TLW is my most wanted set, not only from Jurassic, but just from LEGO overall. And it's allways great to get another herbivour. 76966 was going to be $90 before, but now it's $100, it isn't really the biggest difference, but still thats a bit worse. But even with that I'll buy the sets either way, since I love TLW so much. I don't really know if I'd buy Bumpy, She is quite cheap at only $25 , and I do really like Camp Cretaceous, but there is a lot of sets that I want from this year. Unless there is a small molded Bumpy included, I think I'll just skip this set. -

Jay looks great overall, I expected for him to be like the other ninja with hair and half mask, but what we got is still really neat. With that we 100% know that there will be a new armor piece. The torso design feels similar to his Golden dragon form. That also does confirm that he will work for the wolf clan, since you can see their logo thats a bit covered by the red j. his torso and legs have a lot of features from the Wolf Generals, like the light blue blades. -

That could be the case, but on the other hand it feels weird for such a important villain who is big mystery to just be revealed in a book. That might just be someone completely different. I could easly see Ras's Master being above the Lycan king, while the Lycan king still has some power over the wolf clan, he still has to follow the actual Master's orders. But I do have to say now that the descriptions feel really weird. Like Ras's master had a full on description, but In the new descriptions he just isn't there. And the new descriptions should be based on the same information, since they still have most stuff the same, with some changes that could fit with the other descriptions, like the 2 previously unknown characters in the Arena being reveald. -

Climber Kai will be included in the next ninjago magazine. I do have to say that this is the worst one they could have possibly added, since he is the only climber ninja that isn't exclusive to a single set, litterally any other ninja would have been better. But what's great about that is the fact that it appers as if they are skipping the mech suits, so with that we could have more of the climber suits, which would be great. Especially when we didn't have Cole in the s1 magazines, so there is a big chance that he could be included. But maybe they will comeback to the mech suits, it was a really weird situation with the Wolf Warrior. -

From Brick Clicker we now know that set - 71780 – $35 342 pcs will be called Panda Mech takedown, and set 71486 - 1742 pcs will cost $200 and it will be a D2C set. And also the main characters will get new outfits, but I expected that to be the case. The main characters would also get evil versions of themselves created by The Never Witch: Z-blob - DoomBlob - 71485 Mateo and Z-blob the kinght Mateo - Madteo - 71478 Never Witch's midnight raven Izzy - Dizzy - 71481 Izzie's dream animals Logan - Dogan - 71483 Neverwitch's nightmare creatures Zoey - Doey - 71479 Zoey's cat bike Cooper - Dooper - 71484 Cooper's dinosaur robot C-Rex I also added my predictions on in which sets they will be included. Now that kinda made me more interested in getting the sets, I expect that also was the marketing strategy for the sets. -

I mean I also thought of the fact that that would be a bit repetitive. But Cooper's main theme are cars, so there would need to be something car themed. Because all of the characters have a theme to their sets: Mr Oz -space, Izzie - plush animals, Zoey - cats(I don't even know why), Mateo - Z-blob. Maybe it could work if you would ad some wheels on the feet, but still starting with a T-rex doesn't really fit, since that would feel like a Logan thing since he is monster/creature themed(he even was the one that gave Cooper's car the croc or monster parts) But at the end of the day only time will tell how that would be, and I personally wouldn't mind either option. -

I do have to say that the new wave sounds great. the sets that I'm the most interested in are Cooper's dinosaur robot and Mateo and Z-blob the Knight. I don't really know if I'd buy the The Z-blob set, since it is really expensive. But spending $85 on the C-rex feels fine, and it also sounds like a fun design. I expect it to be a race car in the basic form, to which you ad up t-rex body parts, just like the croc car. The other stuff from the wave sounds fine, but I'd need to see the images or at least descriptions to really be interested in them. -

We now have most of the set names for the summer wave revealed, They come from the same website that leaked the descriptions for the summer ninjago wave, so they are most likely real. 9+ 71478 Neverwitch's northern Crow – $115 1203 pcs 7+ 71479 Zoey's cat bike – $30 226 pcs 7+ 71780 (Lego store exclusive) – $30 342 pcs 8+ 71481 Izzie's dream animals – $50 328 pcs 9+ 71483 Neverwitch's nightmare creatures - $60 457 pcs 9+ 71484 Cooper's dinosaur robot C-Rex – $85 917 pcs 10+ 71485 Mateo and Z-blob the kinght – $130 1333 pcs 10+ 71486 (Lego store exclusive) – $? 1742 pcs The names are translated, so the final names could be different. -

I didn't expect descriptions now, from the source they are most likely to be real. Now I do have to say that the tournament arena might be my favorite set, There are plent of obstacles and traps which an arena should have. Also the minifigures selection is great, and the value of it sounds amazing. I'm actually kinda happy that Ras's master isn't included in the Source dragon, since it's shapeing them up to be a bigger threat the more they wait to reveal them. The Cole mech could be the only set where the other members could be included, but I also think that Tox could be one of them. Cinder being one of the Forbidden Five, doesn't really sound that great to me, since bringing the Forbidden five back is the big plan for Ras, and also mystery, so it's kind weird for one of them to be just there with Ras, so he could be just some random evil elemental master. But on the other hand he is shown to be really powerful and he is the only one who knows Shatter spin for now at least, and also he kinda appers out of nowhere so there is a chance, but I doubt it. -
Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
mantax replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I expect that the June sets will be based on CC. Since we got Darius and Sammy in the January 4+ set, and it would be weird if they didn't do anything more from it. But I suspect that the sets could be a bit loosely based on the show, like the sets from 2021. That is because I don't really know what they could make from it with these prices and piece counts. The only option for a set that I think would be perfect is their base that was prominent in s2 and s3. It could have the Scorpius Rex + maybe Bumpy. But other then that there isn't really much. There is the big Mantah Corp facility, but that even down scaled feels too big for a 600 piece set. The red vehicles from s4 are a good set material, but I don't see that being 420 pcs, it would need a substential side build to work. The old visitor center would be a great fit, but we just got it in the regular version, so I don't really see them doing that. So with that I can see them making some stuff up for the sets making them feel a bit filler, just like in the 2021 sets.
