  1. Here's the first train on a test run in Eisfelder Talmühle: Best regards, Niklas
  2. Hello everyone, here are the results of the first test setup of Eisfelder Talmühle: Result: everything works as planned and the track spacing could be further widened to match the prototype using an additional 1/8 scale track. Now for a construction break, I‘ve run out of bricks ;-) Best regards, Niklas
  3. Hello everyone, thank you all for your answers! Today, construction of Eisfelder Talmühle officially began: A total of four track modules, each consisting of two 32x32 baseplates according to MILS specifications, are to be built. The station building will then be added in front of them. Best regards, Niklas
  4. Hello everyone, since I want to focus entirely on my 1:41 scale MOCs for the time being, I won't be building any more Gauge II MOCs for now. However, I'd still like to briefly present all my remaining works in progress, which are either still purely virtual and/or still under construction. Enjoy! Niklas
  5. Hello everyone, today I was able to finish my low-loader for narrow-gauge vehicles. Although it is modeled very closely on the full-size prototype, I kept the lettering generic. Here are a few key specifications: - Scale 1:41 - Designed to transport vehicles for 4w track - Unpowered - Includes steering (steering lever concealed in the rear wall of the cab) - The semi-trailer is slightly extended to accommodate the transport of Class 99.23 locomotives You can find all the photos on my Flickr channel: https://www.flickr.com/photos/201318707@N05/ Best regards, Niklas
  6. It depends, sometimes just a few kilometers, sometimes all the way across europe.
  7. Hi everyone, alongsite expanding my rolling stock, I’m planning my first train module. The plan is to model the Eisfelder Talmühle station—located on the Harzquerbahn and Selketalbahn lines—in 1:41 scale to match my Brocken locomotive. I intend to use "4w" track, with the turnouts built to R84 specifications. Since the actual station is unfortunately a bit too large for a module layout that remains reasonably portable, I’ll initially only be replicating the station building and the first two tracks. As a "trick" to justify this, the connection to the Selketalbahn will be closed off (let's just say there’s construction work going on in the Selke Valley, so trains are only running between Wernigerode and Nordhausen ☺️). That said, I’m not ruling out future expansion; the additional tracks could be connected later on. Here’s what the setup should look like: I also want to build it as a winter scene, because the HSB has a very special atmosphere in winter. That’s the plan for now. It’ll be a while before I create the first rough draft using actual bricks, though—I need to finish one or two other projects first ;-) Best regards, Niklas
  8. Hello everyone, this was a special case in my opinion because they just moved the locomotive only a short distance because there was a disruption due to construction work. Normally (and what I found on other videos) the locomotives are transported in a cold state—presumably also due to the weight of the operating fluids and the coal.
  9. Hello, thank you all for the great feedback. Below, you'll find a preview of my next project: I am building my own version of the well-known low-loader of the Pressnitztalbahn used to move narrow-gauge-vehicles. The image shows the first test fit alongside 99 7239-9, the MOC is not yet finished: Best regards, Niklas
  10. Hello Thomas, thanks for your answer. I heard about Circuit Cube but my main idea is to have many different engines but not needing a motor for each of them so I decided to look for a wagon with motor. But for sure it should not be impossible to fit in a Circuit Cube motor in the engine, even if I think then the frame would be very instable. Best regards, Niklas
  11. Thanks a lot, everyone! I'm glad the locomotive is being so well received
  12. I really like that Lokomotive! Great Job!
