IC: De'kra dips his head in respect to the Norn and clicks, "I understand you concern. Or at least, I think. Not too long ago I people suffer massive cataclysm and purge of our hero...caste, and I still have no clue where they are now. Though I know that they probably not be on this world. When so little left, single story hold weight of world on its back. Child is even greater. We will protect her and ensure her safety."
-
De'kra asked some other questions too, earlier on.
-
Arthur, I am your mother No, that's impossible!! ...actually on second thought that explains so much.
-
IC: De'kra clicked, "Maybe, though if heroes head there we should avoid mention Skuld's friend or Skuld visits to cellar. I might be wrong, but I get impression it bad idea to mention those things, they seem like secrets. By way Skuld, in case it not clear, can you tell we why you mother not want you play and boys?"
-
IC: De'kra shrugged and replied, "Well, I suggest we wait at least until all questions ask, then go to cellar. Something to consider before we go, why Skuld mother not want her around young males. Is it rivalry, is it related to egg-lay, or something else? If it part of culture, it might limit where male members of this group can go. That one reason to wait to go to cellar until all questions get answer. No offense meant Skuld if I say something rude."
-
Cronk, never stop being you.
-
IC: De'kra clicked to the other heroes, "It not good idea to rush into quest and so little information. It will backfire. Group still not know all relevant facts, some which should be easy for quest giver to know."
-
IC: De'kra winced at the mention of the eight-legged demons, before he commented, "He must be brave to eat those things, or maybe foolish. Now, you know when and why Asa stop go to that place? You know why Shaun was in cellar in first place?
-
IC: De'kra heard the youth's words, relieved that it wasn't egg-related. Still, it seemed as though the bulk of the good questions were least asked. Finally he ventured, "How you and Shaun first meet?"
-
...Okay, I can't associate Arthur with anything random or chaotic after that plan.
-
IC: De'kra was also eager to leave the structure, and hurried on after the others.
-
IC: De'kra started to scratch his arms, not in a full Firenze but certainly at an odd rate. Aside from his discomfort he kept his gaze away from the oracle, trying to be utterly neutral despite being uncomfortable.
-
IC: De'kra paused, before he clicked, "Gali was hero from back home, one of greatest. She was one of wisest heroes we knew, and one of few that could safely heal. I just see soe of her in you is all." In the direction of Guts, De'kra chirped, "Yes, you seem gush and joy. I mistake."
-
IC: De'kra turned to Nerwen, and nodded sadly. "You right," he clicked guiltily, "I should have got involve sooner. At first I could not squeeze into any fight, but once the first battle end I should have join. Its just...there is no excuse. I guess I have not learn from battle and Rito. I...I not like have to decide between loyalty and principles. I not like compromise one for other. But inaction can be just as bad. I...I will try to...make stand...next time. I...I will try." As De'kra walked on in thought, a voice whispered to Nerwen. The voice was strange, mechanized and slow, yet a tint of energy flowed off of it. The voice said little, only the words. "He is lost."
-
IC: De'kra didn't even pause as he clicked, "And how happy are you after all that? And would you expect and wish anyone to enact as you enact?" Figuring the philosophical debate had lasted long enough, De'kra walked to the shrine.
-
IC: De'kra clicked, "I never said forget the dark. I know darkness is in this city, in this world, in minds of people. Everyone has darkness in their minds, from their very first conscious moments. You can not forget about darkness, because if you enact that, then you ignore suffer of others. But while it may be selfish to focus on good, but it more selfish to forget it. If you forget or ignore what is good, then how will you know what is evil? How will you realize when you go to far, when you become evil, if you not know good? And perhaps simply, people need hope. And remember good can keep flames of hope alive." "Some might be lazy," admited De'kra, "people here have different work ethic than home. But it not completely their fault, because they are not born and advantage. From what I know of Eubric, everything costs gold. So if you parents are poor, you can not afford to learn. You can not buy tablets nor scrolls, you can not skillfully learn trade. You can not afford sturdy armor or durable tools, you can not enact your trade effectively. You can try all you like, but if you not have tools to aid you, if is massive uphill battle." "But children of houses are born to people and lots of gold," concluded De'kra, "They will have better education, and they will have better tools from start. They may still have to try and might still fail, but they will begin lot stronger. And people whose parents have some gold, maybe not much, will still be able to afford some tools and education, so they can survive. But they will not begin and resources of house children. There is major gap between people of Eubric, if I understand gold correctly. People in people give their children headstart, while people without power start from bottom." OOC: Any thoughts on De'kra's comments?
-
IC: De'kra chirped, "Interest offer...only you...you know less that I. I am nearly empty, I hold less than two year knowledge of Eubric, and I am absent in I memories. I am echo of someone who was kill. Yet...yet I still know more. You are full, fill and hatred and bitterness. You go on about evil of others, yet seem not to notice any good. You see so much darkness, you not able to witness light. But I...I can still see light. It faint in accurse world of Olegaia, block by shadows. But light is there. It easy to ignore it, I did for time. But there is good, and it worth fight for. You might have see much, but I can still learn." "You say that not oppression," clicked De'kra, "then you have diffrent definition than I. Oppression need not be constantly beaten, oppression can be restriction and apathy. Oppression can be take all power for yourself, and let others suffer. Oppression can be not give others tools to survive, or ignore that others exist. Oppression is be powerful and wealthy, while everyone else is poor. But maybe that just I, after all, I people thought that community was more important than any one person."
-
IC: De'kra shifted to an icy blue gaze as he clicked, "So rational people label entire species base on one city's population? City that bare in mind is not homeland or culture of that species, where that species is subordinate? And of course take no time to research that species in their native lands and how they react when not oppress. Yes, that see quite civilized."
-
IC: De'kra nodded tightly at the admiral, and made a mental note that he would have to go on three Ji Pei quests now. Honestly the resurrection didn't impress him much. Yes it was nice that they showed mercy, but if the poor were not so crushed this won't have happened at all. It still went back to the Bonepartes. As he watched them leave, the voice whispered; "Why trust the Ji Pei?" "Because they are homely," muttered De'kra after a pause, "and because they are not fully of Eubric's system. Not to mention they might be try to sabotage houses." "Evil is not a brotherhood," the voice whispered, before falling silent. OOC: Need Ji Pei Quest!
-
IC: De'kra nodded in agreement, and handed over the accursed blade. It's dark hilt was forged in the image of a bat's wings, flat and sharp. Honestly though the shape did not bother De'kra, rather it's source offended him. Constantly.
-
IC: De'kra clicked vaguely in response to Benji, "I have extra WP: 5 Shadeaux Dagger, if anyone want to use it." The echo meanwhile has glanced back at Nerwen, unsure if she was ignoring him or not. Still, it would be hard to blame her if she was.
-
It gets even better, Hydros was the first person De'kra spoke to in the hall. But yeah, odd how linked we are. I am pretty sure De'kra's origins are different though.
-
IC: De'kra paused, before he clicked, "Right...Bonepartes opponents of Ji Pei. Ji Pei more appeal every second. I...not sure what else to say. I would suggest not give up, and maybe...maybe...consider use Boneparte favor to help you befriend Ji Pei. I...I not like that trail of thought though." The echo shifted unconfortable, as his eyes morphed into downcast emerald.
-
Do it, and De'kra will join you in a second.
-
IC: De'kra could feel Guts glaring, but honestly his eyes didn't even need to be white for him to be apathetic. Guts was too simple minded to worry over, though he might be someone to watch out for if he kept his threats. Regardless, his option was less than worthless. De'kra swallowed down two potions, before he walked over to the Elven Ranger (Alexander Vandagant), and poured a potion into his mouth. As the fluid flowed into the elf, De'kra turned his attention to Nerwen, Hybros, and Cinna. Hydros in particularly seemed upset. "You okay Hydros?" he clicked as he approached the Imp.
