I seriously can’t tell if you are speaking in code.

Large animal moulds are always ridiculously expensive on PAB, so assuming ~£10 per orca, you can get a good size pod for around £100. If you got that many only buying the set you might be looking at up to 2-3 Rivendells

Skulls, a shark and a massive boat? Can’t really get more pirate without actually being pirate themed

Lego Dreamzzz 2023
AstroFalcon replied to bricks4live1972's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The bigger sets of the wave are all I wanted and more. The spacebus is very cool and much sleeker than I thought it would be, the treehouse is a base done right, with what looks to be themed rooms for the characters and some awesome plant life, and the shark ship is the best of them all, satisfying my need for both a pirate ship and an awesome villain set. The animal vehicles are sweet too, and I love the enemies, especially the little tiny evil guys. The smaller character builds/mechs are pretty nice too, with Z-blob being my favourite and Bunchu being the weakest set of the wave for me. Off to a strong start imo -
Dreamzzz animals seem to be mainly brick-built. I was excited for the new armoured horse but oh well. Lots of new exciting parts regardless.

Thanks a ton, I think I'm going to do something similar to that for big bricks and I'll continue keeping an eye out for little drawers for smaller ones.

Lego Dreamzzz 2023
AstroFalcon replied to bricks4live1972's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm glad they're giving a couple of the main characters of this (and the new Ninjago season) physical traits that more kids can resonate with, without changing the actual skin tone of the characters. Mateo has dreads and vitiligo and I'm pretty sure I've seen an image of Arin (the new yellow ninja) with afro textured hair. It may seem small but it does heaps for making each character feel uniquely relatable to different kids, and it also gives us more parts for custom figs outside of licensed themes. Friends and City have been great with this recently but I'm glad to see it spread to other themes. Big thumbs up to Lego from me. -

We're getting to see more and more stuff from the theme now, I'm actually pretty hyped. -
Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
AstroFalcon replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
I've never been a massive fan of the idea of all of the live action remakes because I'd rather see Disney visit new stories and worlds. That being said, I've been to see most of them at the cinema because I love the originals and most of them do at least the songs justice (and that's the most important part for me anyway). That being said, I love that Disney is letting Lego revisit these classic properties for adult targeted sets, even if its based on the remake. This one looks fun, and Halle Bailey sounds great. -
Love the little details like the machines outside, really cozy build.

Really great, love how well you used those uncommon minifig parts.

Does anyone have recommendations for storage units currently available in the UK? Preferably clear drawers, with the ability to have smaller drawers for smaller/less common parts and bigger ones for bricks. Units available in retail stores would be nice, as I could get a feel for the size of them, but I obviously don't mind ordering online.

Pretty nice. It’s very Dots style but in the best way possible. I like the Mickey variant. -

Looks to be a lot of lovely new parts coming, it will be interesting to see what these sets look like in reality. -
Watched the prequels for the very first time recently and bought my first Star Wars set: the most recent 501st battle pack (75345). It was reduced to £13.50 and I thought that was a good price. I'm pretty amazed about the level of the detail on the figures and I'm jealous that Lego doesn't do Castle battle packs anymore. I will have to resist the urge to get more SW stuff though, I already spend enough money and this theme looks insanely collectible, not even mentioning how easy army building is.

Barracuda Bay (21322) is one of my favourite sets of all time and if this is anything like it, this might be the set of the year. My small pirates display is lacking a proper imperial presence (I picked up Bounty Boat (6247) and Forbidden Island (6270) at a car boot sale last November so I have 4 soldiers if you include the bandana feller on the boat) and the addition of a large fort might actually convince me to turn 21322 into a boat for a while to display next to it. On the topic of raised baseplates, I think brick-built landscapes are definitely the better looking option for big display sets, but I wish smaller kits still came with regular baseplates to make them feel bigger. Hoping the next remake is Enchanted Island (6292). There is a used but complete copy in a local charity shop that looks to be in good condition for £100, but I haven't spent anywhere close to that on vintage Lego before and I'm a tad hesitant.

Meh announcement. The giant bowser is cool but he is sadly avoiding the UK and Denmark.

LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
AstroFalcon replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Obviously there's no way of telling, but how does it look fake? What's the likelihood someone went out of their way to make a fairly accurate and detailed MOC of an object nobody would expect to be a set, then send it to a leaker? I'd be more sceptical if it was something that was already heavily desired by the community (like an Avengers Tower or large Star Wars set) but it seems so bizarre that anyone would do this thing in particular. This looks like a Lego set not aimed at primarily Lego fans, and that's why the subject matter might seem bizarre, but the recent BTS set shows that they're not afraid to push larger sets to specific markets. -

I guess people are assuming since all those crazy leaks were in a survey and looked unfinished they're not coming out for a while. A number of those sets would actually make a great deal of sense releasing within a year though, with X-Men '97 in Autumn, Zelda in May and Disney's anniversary this year too. Hopefully though, for my wallet's sake, they'll hold them off until next year at the earliest. -

It's the Summoner's Cup, which is given to whichever team wins Worlds every year. LoL esports is a massive part of the culture and fanbase of the game and a has a large following (especially in Korea, like the subject of the last ideas set). Considering how much fans spend on esports merch I don't doubt that it would sell well. That being said, I'd much prefer sets based on the setting and characters of the game, like a D2C Arcane set. -

Saw an image of a League of Legends set in the usual place. This is a top 10 most wanted theme for me but I was hoping for minifig scale sets. -

Can't wait to see photos of these, they sound really promising! :D Looks like a good ratio of good guy/bad guy sets too. -
