"Such hostility is not necessarily warranted."
-
"Believe me when I say that I am for the nonviolent approach. However, the houses refused to reconcile anything before. Now, with crowns in the mix, the rift will grow ever larger. Besides... Having two Heroicans running for king? I find that preferable to Heroicans inevitably having to clash against the houses they once supported. Perhaps then our differences can be reconciled."
-
"Unfortunately.... Hybros, is it? Diplomacy is not going to be as useful here. Guts can attest to the harrowing nature of bringing down Sorona and Haroka. I trust his strength over Jun's. Jun hardly even entered this conversation by his own hand. He himself would rather see Umbra lead."
-
Huh, you're right... I was mistaken. Sorry about that. Which makes it even weirder why joining the Wolfgang, whose sworn enemies are the house (and vice/versa) won't lock you out of the other Unions...
-
"Their leader took in my granddaughter, brainwashed her, and made me shot her dead in a back alley. They ruined the life of what little extended family I have. I took down tyrants with Guts. Jun got himself captured. The Ji Pei are fine inventors. But they are not the militaristic force you portray them as. They usually need us to settle their disputes. Now, I hope we can agree the Wolfgang is something that is in desperate need of stopping. Whether the man who has proved himself, or the boy who has not spoken a word for himself in this debate, deserves to lead us... I trust you will choose correctly."
-
From Crescent to Sungold, yes. There's no rep penalty from going to Wolfgang to one of the House Unions, though, so you can hop Wolfgang>Crescent>Wolfgang>Crescent>Wolfgang>Crescent etc. or Wolfgang>Sungold>Wolfgang>Sungold>Wolfgang>Sungold etc. as much as you please.
-
They come form an empire. Xu, which is basically run on a dynasty. The Ji Pei family are just scientists, with only a few of them having training from Xu.
-
"A dynasty that is being shoed in by a "former" member of the Wolfgang. Ever dealt with them, Lind?" says Sorrow.
-
"They're scientists, mostly, when I saw 'em, not an army... I don't get why you're so against Guts but for a dynasty."
-
Yeah, jumping from one house union to the other is impossible, but you can change from Wolfgang to Crescent/Sungold as much as you like.
-
"I-I thought you stood against dynasties...? And what difference does Jun or Guts make in the terms of king, by that "one man" thingy? They're both one person." says Terry.
-
"I'm afraid I have spent the votes I have, Guts." says Sorrow. "Anyone care to step up and not allow Wolfgang to rig this thing?"
-
I do find the fact that you can flipflop between Wolfking and House Union with no consequences kinda broken, but meh.
-
I was about to say that joining the Wolfgang should have meant Nur lost his rep, but apparently Wolf King's Followers don't lose their rep? I thought it was public knowledge, how are the houses not pissed? Welp, Nur just voted for someone he's never met. Doesn't matter, still tied with Guts. EDIT: Nope, counted Na'im's vote twice, it seems?
-
A tie is still cool! Chronologically, it only happened after 137, so he'd only have to be de-educated in the ways of Necromancer after.
-
Fair enough. Either way, Guts wins, or I don't lose Necromancer, so....
-
I was waiting for confirmation to what will happen with my job class before casting this, but this may be my last chance to vote, considering the topic is still open (or it may not even be eligible) so, time to throw caution to the wind... The Necropolis had changed me. I had grown tried of being stalked by revenants I had raised by my own hand. Just turning around and seeing those lifeless, obedient eyes... Kind of unsettling. I wasn't raising undead like myself or the ones in Fellcrest. I was making puppets and slaves. The only reason I could have to continue my career as a necromancer was to honor my father. Luckily, I could ask him what he thought now... As horrible as she was, Silvia and Carlos did show me how to throw a good seance. I won't tell you what was said. I don't think it's neccasary. But... It did make up my mind. I stride into the Chateau de Shadeaux. "I cast 2 votes for Guts Holla." "I'm putting myself in deep shit with the Ziegfrieds for this one, Guts. Just promise me you'll give Ulric what he deserves, and stop tossing my granddaughter off of boats, okay?"
-
Tesni voted for Shanxian, actually - I don't think Jun was even mentioned in her post. I hate basically any NPC that is A) needed to be escorted and B) incredibly fragile, and Jun is both.
-
Terry meekly sneaks in and pledges his one vote to Guts.
-
If I side in the Crescent with my Shadeaux rep, do I instantly lose my job class, due to losing Ziegfried rep?
-
"I was kinda kicked out and told to go here. I like the easy jobs. Like getting a gift for that sniper guy. I was too slow with the sign up, though..."
-
"Might as well throw your head into the mouth of a lion, then, if being close to danger is safer..."
-
"I like to stay far, far away from danger, is all I'm saying."
-
"That tyrannosaur we fought was a lizard, Jinnipher, and that thing was one helluva beastie. You're really taking on another dragon? ...Does nobody care about their safety here?!"
