  1. And if you included an Endgame NPC, everyone would get a very long death. (Unless they are an Emperor, then they die instantly and wordlessly.)
  2. "Time to fry the last few big fish in the pond." I follow Patr- I cut myself off as I realize me and Arthur are speaking at the same time. "I'll do a quick check up on them. I'd like to talk to a Ziegfried before I leave this theatre..." To the kitchen.
  3. Sometimes a little catharsis can help. And don't worry, if Sorrow gets that cloth to a Ziegfried by the end, he'll have some guilt on his shoulders too. Yep, is now.
  4. You're fogetting one.
  5. If Violetta insulted Sorrow's weakness, he would've gotten truly angry for one of the first times. And then proceed to crush her skull with his foot.
  6. "Just how many second chances do you think they got, Arthur? Their luck ran out. I give no mercy to criminals." I kneel on one knee and look at the two corpses. "Does the Town Watch have crematoriums, Patricia? Frying these bodies would probably be a good idea..." I contemplate what had just happened, making a spur-of-the-moment decision to dab up some of Violetta's blood with some spare cloak cloth. Karie... a name I would keep in mind. I am snapped out of my stupor by the sound of Nagure pounding his massive fists against the door. I down a Mead, and take a whiff of a Smelling Salts. I remove a Dragon's Scale from my bag and crush it in my fist, the powder getting etched into my palm. "Time to clean up the rest of the wolfgang."
  7. I get up, my legs still somehwat trembling. My breathing seems heavy and quick, but I soon get it under control. With a few deep breaths I pull myself together, my mind still trying to seperate Violetta and my beloved. They looked identical, almost... With a quick shake of my head I banish the last thought, focussing on the task at hand. I address Arthur, though it is also aimed at everybody: "You have too much sympathy for the devil, Arthur. Where has it gotten you before? You said it yourself, Arthur. They're being deceived, their ideals replaced with a madman's and their minds deluded into thinking what they're doing is right. They're just puppets, Arthur. Pawns. And their plan here, and always, is always going to be the same. "Destroy the Houses!" "Save Eubric!" They're not worth saving, even for information." I look down on the crumpled corpses, averting my gaze from Violetta. "To imprison them would only make the Town Watch jail a huge target. To let them go would only throw Eubric into greater turmoil. Kill them."
  8. "This... is quite pathetic, isn't it?" My body is still quivering, my eyes refusing to avert their gaze from the wall to look at Violetta. "Don't make the same mistakes I have made, Arthur. I am a prisoner of my past, a victim of my own memories. I can mow down as many villains as I like... but in the end, I am still weak. There's no place for someone like me on Olegaia anymore, I fear..." I give a soft chuckle. "I am the man who shall not see the legacy he had left... if he ever had one at all."
  9. Plot twist: Sorrow is related to over 75% of all heroes in Heroica hall. He is just that damn old. He may be going down the path of Solid Snake soon enough, though...
  10. Correct, to quote a remark from approximately 15 minutes ago:
  11. Left is Sorrow back when he was 20-25, right is what Sorrow looks like in 66 (after he threw his robes off before fighting the Wolfgang generals.) Yes, that is indeed the same set of peasant's clothing.
  12. Sarah was indeed pregnant when Sorrow had to leave. Sorrow was engineered to mimic normal life, and even though he has decayed big time over the past couple of centuries, he looked average back when he was 1-40. So his kid would've pretty much been a normal human, maybe would have a longer lifespan.
  13. Does Sorrow get a family discount when he reaches necromancer? I have the feeling this will become a bigger running gag then me going to the dentist.
  14. That feel when you realize you're playing a crotchety old man.

  15. Could heroes theoretically pay to get turned into a newt in the arena, so they can buy the scroll off of someone?
  16. I slouch down, head still leaning in the wall. Tears begin to pool up in my dead sockets, droplets of water silently trickling down my skeletal face. "I... can't go, Arthur. Besides, I'm the only one who could put the wolves down if they get back up. How would you two handle them?" I look at the beaten Violetta. "Why...why must she look like her..."
  17. Sorrow was in his mid twenties when he was happily engaged (didn't last long ) with Sarah... assuming every mother had their child in that 20-25 range, he could easily be a great x15-20 grandfather. Unfortunately great x17 grandfather wants to see his great x17 granddaughter dead. ...I'm really wondering how I'd react if that becomes canon.
  18. Don't forget Mandric being her long-lost cousin. It is scary how many descendants Sorrow may actually have. The number of them who would kill their greatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreatgreat grandfather.
  19. And then Sarah turns out to be the mother, and Sorrow is actually Violetta's greatx20 grandfather? Then again, I don't think that is how genetics work...
  20. Lets... not put them in the same room, shall we?
  21. And Sorrow promptly has a nervous breakdown, nearly vomitting.
  22. Arthur slays the two kittens, ending the battle. "Not so cute anymore, are they, Arthur?" I was in a cynical mood after the brawl - the two generals were defeated nigh effortlessly, but the night had proven to be long and stressful. Reaching into my coin purse I pull out a handful of 250 gold, throwing it into the pile. "For the Catsuit. I'll throw in the Shackles too, as soon as the generals are promptly dealt with." I walk over to the unconscious generals, looking over their crumpled bodies. The fur recedes and their human features return, their head garments ripped to shreds by their violent transformation. Suddenly, I stop dead in my tracks, cutting off the breath I was drawing in. My entire body goes numb as I look at Violetta's unaltered face... I drop to one knee, looking over her body - covered in blood, arrows and cuts plastered all over her. Wounds I had left, arrows I had mercilessly pumped into her. i knew she wasn't her, but... the resemblance... "Oh... Oh Helvetia... What have I...?! She looks... she looks just like... her... Sarah... Sarah...!" I can't bear looking at her any longer, making retching sounds. With weak legs I walk over to the wall, pressing my head against the wall. I have to use my arms to keep myself stable, my entire body convulsing... "It isn't her, it isn't her, it isn't her... it isn't my Sarah..." I feebly try to recompose myself, but to no avail. I had struck down a woman who looked exactly like my fiance. When I needed her the most... Hope you don't mind this, Sandy! Violetta is basically a dead ringer for Sorrow's late fiance... and he isn't taking too kindly to that, having just mowed her down.
  23. So this is the BO (Just added Nagure's second turn): Battle Order: (and suggested actions) Nagure (Stone Hammer) vs. Candy (Front Row) Nagure (Stone Hammer) vs. Candy (Front Row) >Arthur (Scroll of Frailty) vs. Candy (Back Row) >Arthur (Unlucky Horseshoe) vs. Candy (Back Row) >Arthur (Unlucky Horseshoe) vs. Candy (Back Row) OR (Ice, Sir Roderick's Sword) vs. Candy (Back Row) >Sorrow (Mockthril Longbow) vs. Candy (Back Row) >Sorrow (Mochthril Longbow) vs. Candy (Back Row) As Violetta crumples to the ground in pain and shock, I stare down the two cats. Easy pickings. "Knew I should've shot that cat in the first place..." I mumble. I follow the plan. If we somehow don't decimate both casts here, we can auto-run.
  24. Sorrow's dialogue consists mostly of: "Normal Demeanor Snark Insightful Comment Insightful Comment Dry Expression Of Danger Deadpan Joke Insightful Comment Express Grief Snark Snark Lament About Discrimination Normal Demeanor Snark Snark Snark."
  25. I need to watch what I type, my fingers and mind are never in synch. "Keep the blade from my neck to help others.", not me.
