  1. Woah, Sandy, that is a whole lot of HP to carve through. Wait, so is the Lone Star's special basically Rock/Paper/Scissors?
  2. Actually, I'm fairly certain the deep fryer is meant for the heroes.
  3. I think pretty much every party has admitted to being either tired and/or irritable in this case, at any rate. (Snickers, anyone?) Though I'd agree that the line of plaver vs character knowledge can be a bit difficult to tread at certain points, it is also a rather clean cut line. The example in 77 was, in my mind, pretty harmless. There have been far more blatant "offenses" (if you even want to call them that) in my mind.
  4. Among the best, in fact!
  5. If it's a boss rush, count me in! And on that note, if it isn't... still count me in!
  6. Because they are the ones who spend hours making it possible: it isn't like they have a killswitch for the enemies, they just know who is where. I'd say for all of the time they spend making it possible for other people it is a fair reward.
  7. No, they can. That is why it is their pay, if I recall correctly..
  8. The two Fields QMs have the entire fields at their fingertips - it is their "pay" for helping out, per se.

Now imagine each of those scorpions is a Regret.

Glorious, but no. There is only one Regret, and he cannot be topped by any foolish clones.

  10. That was my idea, yes. The sign-ups would only appear sporadically, and it does have an end - however, I highly doubt that the first party who drops in would be able to blitz through the entire gauntlet.
  11. Yeah, my original idea where something along the "Memory Shards": Enchanted, beautiful crystals that react violently to their owner's memories. It'd basically harvest the memories of the heroes and force them into an illusory fight against a boss. defeating the illusion dispels the magic and allows the heroes to trade it in and the end of the rush to get ~fabulous prizes!~ (Note: No matter what hero activates any crystal, that crystal would always contain the same boss, and would respawn when a new party comes along.) The entire thing is a timed - its more high score based to get as far into the memory gauntlet as possible, as compared to the fields.
  12. It'd be entertaining! It'd be like a timed Fields of Glory where the possibility of death is omnipresent. Doesn't it sound fun? Should I call it "Showdown on Memory Lane" or "Total Boss?"
  13. It doesn't - scrolls are unaffected by negative efects, Jinxed or Lucky.
  14. Actually, some sort of "X Gauntlet" would be interesting to see in Heroica: Bosses from previous quests remixed into far more powerful forms (So "Wren X", as an example) faced in rapid succescion with a turn limit. Try to topple as many bosses as you can before the clock runs out!
  15. Interested to see what the Kraken holds, after how the dragon got absolutely wrecked. Also, calling it: Timehenge is the three Threshold Monsters faced in a boss rush.
  16. Wait... So the one who took my luck... it was you! Are you a wizard or something?? I heard about those, don't insult their hats. ...Although, yes, my eyes are quite dazzling. Gotta keep up with the latest trends, y'know?
  17. Uhh... Guys? I... think I might've walked up 39 steps getting up here. That's 3 13s. That means I'm triple unlucky! Can somebody hold me?! Think of the children! What will they do if their mum gets murdered by some giant black cat of misfortune, huh? What then?!
  18. Zepher/Brickdoctor, how long do you think your respective quests will last? Also: it is going to be pretty short, only 3 required battles and one optional you may accidentally stumble upon.
  19. What a scary thought.
  20. And on that note, I sincerely hope someone will eventually drop as a minstrel song.
  21. I just proposed a Ziegfried quest, if anyone would like to go on that.
  22. I wouldn't neccasarily say that. The quest's story provides context for roleplaying - I haven't really seen any examples of QMs pigeonholing roleplay. For 48, 56, and 70 I pretty much went out of my way to provide maximum roleplay oppurtunities.
  23. I think the issue of the "embodiment" thing is the fact that Expert Classes are generally far more specific roles then advanced classes - and unless your character perfectly fits a role (Sorrow as Necromancer, Alexis as Harlot (possibly?), Karie as Minstrel, etc. ) It can become a bit difficult.
  24. I think fleshing out Heroica's stance on the divine pantheon completely wouldn't be a bad idea at this stage, anyway - considering we went from "gods are just representations of ideals" to "fight Ennoc". (Not a jab at you, Zepher. )
  25. Random question: Does Mother Danab and Helvetia have any sort of relation (friends, enemies, etc.), being the embodiments of the beginning and end of the cycle of life - birth and death, respectively?
