  1. I cross my arms, in thought... "Hm... Is there any way this Ether Core I ave could make the process smoother?" Maybe I can finally get use out of this...
  2. "I've been alive for 2000 years, little boy. I've sucked out more souls than you could possibly imagine. I don't just have one soul... I have over one hundred!"
  3. "Well, raider, I have quite the persuasive demeanor. So persuasive, in fact, i think it will only take a few drops of ether and a few sentences spoken into the echoes, and I could ensnare a huge number of Proggs in a matter of moments. It'll take some additional tinkering to get them fully obedient, but when we manage to re-ignite their warmongering ways, they'll be quite competent thralls. With them in control, we could get the document we need from this wretched Colony, kill the young monarch here, and call it a day." The extent of the demons' plans begin to truly dawn on the heroes... With the Echoes Tower under their control, they could ensnare the hearts and minds of the Proggs in less than a single day. Systematically, one by one every district would fall under their complete control, already ravaged by the other hundreds of Oculoids running amuck... "You demonic bastard...!" Solon is immediately restrained by the Oculoids, coiling their inky tentacles around him. His arms and tail are pinned down to the floor in the demon's iron grip, not budging. "Don't you DARE speak to me in that tone of voice. So, you see, I only needed to bring you to the Royal Pond to claim this tower... Now, are you ready for a little demonstration of the extent of my powers? When that is said and done, I'm sure you will all make competent slaves. Oh, don't worry your poor little heads. You'll be unbelievably happy in our service... For once, your lives will actually be used for a true cause!"
  4. "I don't need to be lectured from some sassy dryad about who is superior and who isn't! We'll establish our dominance soon, so don't you worry your hollow little head about it, little girl... Think about it as a favor to your beloved Sylvania. For milleniums humanity has disregarded and destroyed nature... Their removal will make this Olegaiia truly beautfiul again." "My master didn't want to reveal our entire plan, and thus instructed me to make a puppet out of a prominent human leader... A racist one, that wouldn't be suspected for objecting to the Proggs. i take this human form to seduce him, and when I got him alone... Promptly brainwashed him into our puppet. I've been pulling the strings ever since. It was I who unearthed the Colony's entrance - no human could've done it. Honestly, I'm surprised that blatant little use of magic didn't blow our cover. Than again, you all have proven yourselves remarkably daft, hm hm. However, with Jetorix temporarily dispatched, my master finally approved my battle plan. I run the show now, heroes. Tell me, why do you think I chose the Echoes for this little ploy...?"
  5. I attempt to roll my eyes at Heckz vomiting, and address the slightly more pressing issue. "Where'd I get this...? Where did I..." I draw complete blank. "I can't even remember how I obtained this thing..." "Either way, I'd like to hold onto it a bit longer." "Hello there, Hoples - how did that marketplace fiasco blow over? It seems we have another mystery on our hands... How did you learn of the existence of this "mystery person"?"
  6. I approach the party, largely the same as I looked before... Black cloak enveloping my entire body, clad in dark cloth from head to toe... Well, more like shoulder to toe. "In terms of ugliness..." I cringe inwardly at all of the bewildered glances. "I believe I have you all trumped. Sorrow, reporting for duty."
  7. Wait, who are you saying is going to be the victor?
  8. "En garde." Masson Cour, Level 50 Paragon HP: 90/90 SP: 6 Power Bonus: 9 Gold: 100 Equipment: Zandatsu (WP: 18, No bomb slotted, suitable to Masson only) Syndicate Cowl Deluxe (6 SP, plus immunity to Weakness, Blinded and Fragile. Headwear) Counterstrike Gloves (Handwear) Syndicate Uniform (+9 power, Bodywear), Quickdraw Sheathe (1/6 chance of starting every battle Hastened, Accesory) Inventory: Exterlate x3, Tiger Balm, Emergency Essence, Grand Potion x3, Fire Bomb x3, Ice Bomb, x3, Holy Bomb x2, Spare Dagger (WP: 8) There. I've already plotted out his stats - if anything, I'll nerf him even more. If Boomingham can defeat this, more power to him! Though I imagine other heroes won't approve, but only time can tell for that one.
  9. I ain't rebalancing.

    1. Kintobor

      Kintobor

Kill him for the added challenge!

    2. Endgame

      Endgame

Do you really want added challenge? On and Endgame quest? With several bosses?

  10. Would Boomingham risk unleashing a momentous evil hellbent on destruction just to kill one vigilante? ...Probably. Yeah, Masson would probably just swat him down repeatedly until Boomingham gets a "What The Hell, Hero?" moment. He is relatively important to the finale (and will pretty much be around for the entire quest's duration), so he won't just be a bystander. if you kill him and screw yourselves out of a paragon, though, I ain't rebalancing the battles. (In all seriousness, though, I probably won't.) "Ahem?"
  11. What reasons ould he have for outright killing Boomingham? 1. He explictly has a "no killing humans rule" 2. He really doesn't bear all that much ill will So really, the amount of friction is in Lawrence's hands. There will be one overt moment in my finale I'm kind of concerned/excited for, though, especially if Boomers attends...
  12. Congratulations, you have inspired my avatar change. I'm still waiting for that moment where I can get Masson and Boomingham in the same room again. It would be glorious.
  13. Now you're cuuuuursed!

    1. Kintobor

      Kintobor

      Yay, paper craft!

  14. Brunt was one of the wall's horcruxes. Perhaps my hidden agenda revolves around my "hidden" agenda being known?
  15. Usually someone who can pull explsoives pretty much out of his hat isn't usuaully considered a pansy, but to each their own. My policy is that it influences your effect on NPCs, not decides it. Your Intimidation gets more and more influential the better your RP, and the reverse applies. Intimidation while not seeming all that nasty may or may not have consequences.
  16. Doomsayer's Island is pretty much condemned, but other than that, I don't believe any others are overtly blocked. Just want to make sure I wasn't mucking up anyones plans.
  17. Just roleplay intimidation, it might as well be the same thing... The characterisitc doesn't really hold much weight if you aren't intimidating, after all.
  18. Does anyone have any plans about Goland (small island off of Uland) and its surrounding waters? Don't want to step on anyone's toes.
  19. I would like to point out that could still overlap with any of the three themes I pointed out?
  20. If it makes you feel any better, Scuba, half of my NPCs are complete omnicidal bastards. I could hardly blame you if you wanted to pick a fight.
  21. "Dreams? What are you blabbering about now?" Siri - Iris - or whoever she was -seemed legitmately baffled. "Well, aren't you self-important. We're not going to ravage every living thing. Just lay waste to humanoids and be done with it. You think your species is the only one that matters? You think in the grand scheme of things, humanity was meant to hold as much power as it does now? You think your specieis is the only one capable of thought? Your infestation has trampled over every living thing, oppressing them or worse. You can't evne tolerate each other; you are a disgrace to Olegaiaia, and every being to ever live on it that wasn't in your insidious little fold. Sorry, hun, but I'm afraid humanity's days are ticking down... Your specieis is quite nearly out of time.
  22. Less bizzare Endgame quest is more like it, perhaps. My next quest will involve one of these three things: Treasure hunting, intrigue, or giant killer robots.
  23. Followed immediately by Strivvi 3: The Strivvying and Strivvi 4: Strivment Day. Guts is definitely someone I'd love to host, though! Unfortunately, after 81, there is only one normal Endgame quest left before finale shenanigans...
  24. "See you soon." I stand up and walk out of the hall, already prepared. What wild adventure was in store for us this time?
  25. "Of course I can think for myself! I may have my higher-ups, but I was one of the original Oculoids - I was one of the first two, along with the other (currently absent) Oculoid Mastermind. These inky little fellows are like children to me... Aren't they just adorable? Who am I working for? Someonepowerful beyond your imagination, Raider. Soon, he will be even more powerful - capable of annihilating your pestilent race. Soon, he will be known as The Eternal Reaper."
