X-O NOOOOOOOO! Another man down! :'-( Why is everybody turning to the darkside a.k.a. "OT" now adays?! How can the story about a fruitcake called Luke be better than the beautifully computer animated, ever so cool battles of the clone wars! I will never know... :-D No, seriously though, I definitly like the idea of a Hoth set! I got 1 Snow-rebel with my Snowspeeder and 1 Snowtrooper with my Millenium Falcon and now I'm craving more!!! They're awesome figs for some reason! I wouldn't want an Endor set, though, even if I were into OT. *sad* I mean, come on, we practically already had 2 Endor battle packs: one with an Endor-rebel Luke and one with Ewoks! I already have at least two of the first one and have enough of Scout Troopers! :-X But a Kashyyk set would be kinda neat I guess... idk. :-/ What's the deal with Endor anyway? It's just one giant forest! |-/ Boooring! :-D Speaking of Endor: Who else thinks that they should offer different flights on Star Tours? Although the flight plan that you can see while waiting in line lists many different interesting destination planets, you always seem catch the flight to Endor X-D and that ride is getting pretty boring now! How about a flight right into the middle of the Battle of Hoth or Geonosis? Anyway, the last time I went there, I noticed something strange on that flight plan: Among all the well-known planets like Tatooine, Hoth, and even Geonosis, it also features a olanet called "Panna"! I wondered "What the heck is 'Panna'?" I had never heard of it before and I didn't find out what it was until I watched the Star Wars Holiday Special on YouTube: it's the mud-moon where Luke meets Boba Fett for the first time in the cheesy cartoon the little wookie boy watches! You can go and check it out, if you like. It's Boba's very first appearance! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rtPmPDrWjY :-$ Oops! Kinda got off topic there! Sorry 'bout that! But I think that is something hard-core SW nerds like me would want to know! X-D So, anyway: SCOUT TROOPERS OFF! *n* HOTH BATTLE PACK AND NEW STAR TOURS RIDE ON! *y* X-D

I don't know if any of these have been posted yet, but I found them on Brickshelf, and they were new to me, so I thought I should post 'em: A couple of new impulse sets, one of the new advent calendars, and some BIONICLE news including an alternate Phantoka combo model! All very, very nice stuff! Impulse: Castle: BIONICLE: Sweet, huh? Especially the Calendar! Look At that fool! :-D If any of these were new to you, I am happy to be able to provide some unknown pics, too, for once! 2008 ON! *y*

New Mace, Shaak Ti, & (colored) Phase 1 Clones ON! X-D *y* Seriously, I reallyreallyreally hope that the next SW wave will include a Battle Pack combo that has Phase 1 Clones (some colored, some not, like the Phase 2 ones) in the one set and magnas and some Battle Droids with the new arms (like in 7670) in the other! Now that would be cool! *wub* PS: Damn! This is the longest discussion I've seen so far on EB! 88 Pages! What is the record anyway, admins?

I think, I don't need to repeat how freakin' cool these sets are: Amazing Ice-Planet style Dropship, awesome Tank, sweet Mech, Aliens with movable arms, Yadda-yadda... *wub* Did anyone else notice, though, that these sets seem to have yet another new kind of flick-fire missile? Or are they? They all seem to be held in place by clips (or whatever you call those stick-holding pieces) and I can't see how you are supposed to fire anything that way... 8-| Btw, does anyone else think that the little vehicle behind the tank (and perhaps also the alien fighter) are kind of rather pointless? I mean, they're just gonna pull up the price of the set! :-/

Hey, Dr. Sinister, nice entry. Quite a garden you got there. Nice fountain and sweet machine gun! X-D Your house seems rather small, though. But heck, mine's probably even smaller! :-D Then again, mine has a basement! Well, you'll see. I have to tell you, though, that it wasn't smart of you to enter this contest! You may have a chance to win it, BUT NOW WE KNOW YOUR SECRET LAIR! >:-) YOUR PLANS FOR WORLD DOMINATION ARE BUSTED!!! :-D Btw: Who the heck made you mayor? *wacko* I didn't vote for you! :-P Hehe! Just Kiddin'! ;-) *y*

Thank you, my Lord! Although you probably find my lack of self-control disturbing ;-) , I shall follow your orders and use this "think-before-posting" technique of yours! *y* May I add that I find your suggestion of stopping those endless, non-Lego related discusions and getting back to the point magnificant? I can highly recomment everybody else to follow this advice... or else you shall feel the wrath of the Dark Lord! >:-) Muhahahaha! X-D PS: What does "GG" stand for?

A Friendly Advice To Everybody Who Hasn't Seen Star Wars - Clone Wars :-| Man, you guys who haven't seen the two volumes of "SW-CW" have really missed out! So if you are into PT at all (at least just a little bit), go watch it, or, even better, just buy both DVDs! Trust me, this show will change your view of the Clone Wars forever! Especially your opinion about how cool General Grievous really is, or at least was :'-( until Mace crushed his lungs! What you see of Grievous in the movies is just him in his weakend state, and his unfortunate defeat through this weakness! Anyway, just watch it. In my opinion, Volume 2 is better than 1 since it really shows the connection between Episodes II & III and shows Shaak Ti & Grievous at their best! So, if you just wanna watch Volume 2, that's fine with me. Volume 1 is just a collection of tales from the Clone Wars and an introduction to Grievous to me, but, since it gives ARC Troopers and secondary heros & villains like Windu, Fisto, Yoda, Ventress, and Durge a time to shine, it is quite worth watching as well! Still unconvinced about the show? Well, have you seen any episode of the cartoon "Samurai Jack"? This show is pretty much like that, just with more Jedi & Sith and lightsabers instead of katanas! It's not a kiddie show either. In fact, the heros and villains of SW kick much more butt in here than in the movies! X-D Well, Now you know what to do! ;-) If you have any questions, let me know! PS: Hey, *vader* , I still haven't recieved any feedback on my edit of my ill-toned post. Are you still mad at me? :'-(
-
:-$ As I already mentioned in the post, I am really sorry! :'-( I guess, I was in a bad mood and got carried away! I didn't mean to hurt anyone! So Sorry! Not gonna happen again! See, I edited the post and and tried to reverse the tone of it as well as I could! Here is the edited post: Happy? X-D

:-) Without offending anybody, especially not you stealth hunter ;-) , I would like to say that any hopes of there being side anti-infantry turrets hidden somewhere in the RGS should be quite low as there is little space where they could be hidden. Even if there would, it is very unlike TLC to hide such significant parts of a model on a box art. Furthermore, most of you should be aware by now that this is a special modified RGS from the upcomming show, similar to the rancor mouthed ARC ship in the first series (which did not feature any side turrets either), that is supposed to transport the Jedi, so it would be unwise to expect more clones or alternative stickers or anything to come with it either. However, all this doesn't exclude the chance of the actual set to turn out differently from this preliminary picture, although I highly doubt this chance to be very high for these would be quite significant changes, and I have rarely observed such an act by TLC. NOTE: This is an edited post and I would like to strongly appologize to anybody offended by the earlier tone of this post! :-$

X-O Say WHAT? WTF! Why? Since when? I love chrome! :'-(
-
WORD! ;-) But what's wrong with Obi 1? He's one of the best Jedi out there + the one we'll get with the RGS is gonna be a new, cartoony one (hopefully with awesome new hair like Anime Skywalker X-D )! :-D SERIOUSLY! Just wait - TLC is going to milk the SW goldmine again & again & again until there is nothing they haven't released and rereleased yet! This means for us poor customers and (Lego) Star Wars nerds that we will end up with any minifig imaginable! :'-) I hope this day will come soon...

Hey! Did you even think about this? Assajj Ventress VS. Obi Wan & Plo Koon??? This could be one tight episode! Hm. Interesting theory! If I may add something, didn't planes back in WWII also feature cartoons, like the Looney Tunes & stuff? Well, I'm sure that these monkey-lizard creatures are the laughing stock of the SW galaxy! X-D LOL! Dude, I love your Avatar pic! :-D But seriusly people stop making such a fuss about stickers!
-
*sing* Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleeeease let me know too!!! I so can't wait for Grievous! But, unlike Legoman, I'm totally pro-EU and even more pro-CW! Maybe we should split this forum into 2: One for PT/EU fans and one for OT fans. Btw: what does "FU" stand for?
-
I agree with you 100%! You should work on your typing, though ;-) . I had a hell of a time correcting your post for my quote and I still haven't figured out how you managed to get a 9 into the middle of "good"! X-D However, I, too, think that the monkey-lizard might seem out of place, but it is definitely linked somehow to the new series, and therefore we shouldn't complain. This, and the fact that it lacks the 2 anti-infantry turrets on the sides (yes, that's what they're called! ;-) ) and has two known Jedi on it instead, reasure my theory that it is some specific modified version of an LAAT from The Clone Wars. I still wonder though what is up with those radar dishes on the side... :-/ I was also thinking the same thing about those flck-fire missiles, but even if they don't collapse or anything, that should be an easy mod! As for the thickness of the model: It's not thinner, but it sure is longer! On a side note: I wonder if the rectangular door wing on the left is movable like the triangular one on the right. 8-| I really look forward to this set and hope for some nice cartoony Jedi & Sith - it would be great if Obi Wan had a cool new hairpiece like Anime Skywalker! *wub* Cartoony Minifigs On!
-
It's on an angel? I know that this thing is good, but heavenly good??? Idk... X-D Hehe! Just kiddin!
-
*sing* SWEEEEEEEEET! Thanks, Benk, this is AWESOME! Finally a pic of the RGS! Somebody should put this on the frontpage! This is a huge improvement from the last RGS *y* , although the construction for the flick missiles bothers me |-/ ! Yeah, I think, it's a Kowakian monkey-lizard like Salacious B. Crumb, too. Weird 8-| ... What may be on the other side of the Ship?? I hope TLC will include alternative stickers with no drawings on them, but considering the selection of jedi & sith, this seems to be a specific RGS from some particular episode from The Clone Wars, so I don't think they will do that...
-
Sure, some scans would be great! PS: Would you think that more TECHNICal legs would be an improvement if it means that the thing is motorized as some speculated earlier? I do! But at this point I still think that an improved walking mechanism would be more likely because of the price and the name and all... Welcome to Eurobricks btw, dude! ;-)
-
I know what you mean (I can't spot the V-Wing anywhere in the movies or cartoon show :-( ), but these are from the upcoming "The Clone Wars" CG-animated show and will be released around the time the series starts (Fall). So, you're kind of right by saying they're making 'em up, but it's not TLC, it's the designers working on the show and of course Lucas who's working with them! I think EU is great, but if you don't like it... *sad* Btw, if anyone could tell me where to find the V-Wing, please tell me! ;-)
-
Well, we others dream of sweet new Jedi to come with this set, but, yeah, 2 clones is quite disapointing! >:-( *n* But there isn't realy any rule of how many figs a set must have as the number always varies as you said. Let's hope that with all these Clone Wars sets there will some day also be an Ep II clone trooper battle pack! That would be awesome *wub* ...
-
If you are talking about the old SW Clone Wars series, it had Ep II clones in the first season and the second had Ep III ones. If you haven't seen it, run to the store and buy the 2 DVDs right now - THET'RE AWESOME!!! *y* As for the new one, only Ep II clones are known to appear in it. Therefore I too expect the V-19 and all the new sets to feature yellow helmed EP II clone pilots, especially the RGS! *sweet* And about the Anie - I'm still lovin the hair! :-P I like that name you came up with though! Hey, how about we all call the new Anakin Skywalker "Anime Skywalker"! X-D
-
A motor, huh! 8-| I knew there was something up with the TECHNIC look of those legs! |-/ Now I notice what bothered me about this set: It reminds very much of the Walking AT-AT - it's an old AT-set that is being rereleased with slight design changes & with more TECHNICal legs! You might be right that this might disappoint people, but as I remember, people didn't complain about the AT-AT too much either, and I know I won't because it's been a while since we had an AT-TE and I think it will be cool to see the AT-TE crawl over the floor on its own! *sweet*
-
|-/ Hm, I don't know... Somehow I feel disappointed. With my high anticipation for The Clone Wars and known coolness of Magna droids in mind, I thought the Magna Droid Fighter to be something totally badass, but now it just turns out to be a simple P-38. Don't get me wrong, it's always good to have a new kind of vehicle, but even for a P-38 it looks kinda lame. But, oh well. I guess, I just have to get over the fact that it's not what I imagined it to be and get used to its design :-| ... Also, needless to say, I refuse to believe that the Super Battle Droids are the final (or the only) minifigs in this set and hope they will be replaced by real Magnas (why else would this be called a "Magna Droid Fighter"), even if they are GI-88s with capes! The V-19 looks pretty good, though. In fact, it looks really good! It has a nice design: the turbines look interesting and the gear sticking out in between the one of them and the cockpit suggests that the side wings move automatically together with the middle wing thingy providing a nice transition from Landing mode to Flight mode and back. The clone in the cockpit still looks like an EP III guy to me, but I'm sure that will change since there is a EP II guy on the pack and in the AT-TE set. Overal, looks like a pretty neat set, but I'm still not sure if I'm gonna get it 8-| ... The AT-TE looks just like a slightly altered version of the old one - in a bad way! The legs look too bulky & TECHNICal (Get it? ;-) ) and they seemed to have added at least one of those damn giant missiles >:-( ! And about that blue STAP... Who knows if it's really gonna be in there or not as the Battle Droid is not mentioned in the Minifig (shadow) list, but I'm sure it's an error like on the Magna Fighter It's not all bad, though. This is a chance for those who miised the last AT-TE to get it now, and it comes with a bunch of EP II clones! Also, there are many reasons for hope! This AT-TE seems to feature less stickers and the TECNIC look of the legs suggests an improved walking mechanism! And as mentioned earlier, the three last stormy shadows in the list seem to be labled with copyrighted names of wich the first one looks very much like "Anakin Skywalker" and the other 2 seem to be Asoka, a young female Togruta Jedi Padawan and Commander who will have her first appearance on The Clone Wars, and Maze, an ARC trooper from Tripple Zero. Could this mean that we get some new (cartoony/alien) Jedis and maybe an ARC trooper with this set? *sweet* ? Time will tell...
-
I think so too! I still don't get peoples' problem with stickers (see my earlier post). Could anyone please give me an answer to that? Oh, and thanks for the arc pics, Big Pete, and thank you, DJ Force, for the info on SW refferences. I gotta go and watch those Indy movies one more time and look for those! LOL! :-D :-D :-D Good one!
