  1. Since uniformed officers are so omnipresent in the Death Star scenes, I feel like we'll get a few. My prediction is a new Tarkin, Motti (everyone remembers his scene, fun alternate face), and an unnamed Imperial Navy Officer - specifically, the one who stood guard at the Detention Block. That's very interesting.
  2. Starting with your latter query, the Death Star has now been confirmed to have 1,555 pieces. As for the former, there shouldn't be any copyright issues with LEGO doing a Kenner-esque Death Star - in any case, even if LEGO took inspiration from the Kenner version I highly doubt it would be close enough to a 1:1 recreation for any issues to arise.
  3. Mario is a theme that doesn't have any minifigures, seemingly because Nintendo won't allow it. Sonic is a minifigure theme, and so far the only 18+ set was designed for a minifigure. And again, what object would they even do for Sonic? A ring wouldn't take that many pieces, an Emerald wouldn't be feasible because it would need to be entirely transparent, something like the Miles Electric isn't nearly iconic enough, there aren't nearly enough pieces to do a real-world console such as a Genesis or Dreamcast, etc. I could maybe see them doing a buildable display statue of a character, but there's no reason to see that as more likely than a minifigure set.
  4. ...In what fashion? We know literally nothing about it, and what objects even are there that could warrant such a set?
  5. That Rocket Raccoon is only a 10+ set, as are the other figures in that style. If it is a buildable figure I imagine it would be much more of a display figure, similar to the 43179 Mickey and Minnie. That said, I feel the most likely option for what this could be is another buildable 2D zone in the style of the Ideas set to connect to it. After all, that set does have Technic pins on the end. (As for this rumored set having significantly less pieces than the Ideas set, remember that that set had hundreds of small plates going into the checkerboard pattern dirt. Many other zones they could pick - Marble or Chemical Plant seem the most likely imo - would have much simpler bases).
  6. With how much LEGO loves celebrating anniversaries as of late (two last year, two this year), I could honestly see LEGO doing two or three sets for all of them (or at least for SW and AotC, not sure if they'll have stopped avoiding the sequels by then).
  7. I mean, I feel like the Tantive IV set is basically a pseudo Stormtroopers/Rebels battle pack...
  8. With the Falcon it's important to note that this isn't just one retiring and a weird one replacing it; there's already one normal Falcon on shelves (UCS) and another normal Falcon (Midi) coming to replace the 2019 set. So that's taking us from two normal Falcons on shelves to... two normal Falcons on shelves. The Dark Falcon isn't a replacement, just a weird bonus extra. As for Jango's Slave I, while there's always hope there's also no specific reason to believe it is or isn't in the pipeline, it's not like LEGO's decision making is ever consistent. It's important to remember that there were several years between 2010 and 2015 where there was no Slave I on the market, same with 2015 and 2019. But then we got several in the span of a few years. Who knows?
  9. I wouldn't worry about that, 1,500 pieces isn't nearly enough to make a spherical Death Star, it'll probably just be a curved tower like with the Kenner set. As for the figures, I'm almost certain the leaked figure selection is incorrect. None of them besides Cal (and Vader?) were ever substantiated by reliable sources, and it seems very unlikely LEGO would include only 6 (5 discounting Cal) figures in a big playset right after including 12 with Yavin. While this is purely SPECULATION, my predicted minifigure selection is more along the lines of: - Luke Skywalker as Stormtrooper - Han Solo as Stormtrooper - Princess Leia - Darth Vader - Grand Moff Tarkin (new face & torso) - Admiral Motti (new face & torso) - Imperial Navy Officer (new torso) - Death Star Trooper x2 (new torso) - Imperial Gunner (new torso, TIE Pilot legs) - Mouse Droid - Cal Kestis
  10. I mean, so far we only have three data points to dictate that. I don't feel it's a definitive fact just yet.
  11. Based on this new information, yeah this set is definitely intended to be a dark side equivalent to Yavin IV. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say the rumored minifigure selection is fake - when Yavin had 12 minifigures, there's no way LEGO would only include 6 (5 if you discount Cal) and omit so many major characters. Also yeah this almost certainly does mean a midi ship is included which probably will be a TIE Advanced unfortunately, though I would much prefer a standard TIE at this scale to mix things up (or, ideally, just don't include one at all what with how many TIEs are currently on the market).
  12. I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before, but the rumored minifigure selection includes two Stormtroopers... isn't it very possible that those are actually Luke and Han in their Stormtrooper disguises, which would make lots of sense for a Death Star playset? Also I really hope it doesn't include a tiny TIE Advanced - we've already had THREE small versions of that ship, and all it's inclusion would do is put off the next release of an actual minifig-scale version while simultaneously eating up parts from the actual Death Star scene. As for the actual structure of it I could see it looking a bit similar to the classic Kenner Death Star - essentially being a tower with all of the rooms connected by an elevator (which would be a fun play feature) and one of the cannons up top. Not sure what rooms they could include with the rumored minifigure selection (especially no Leia), but I think the control room (where the droids hide during the Death Star sequence) and the conference room are both likely.
  13. 75331 will be a MBS Coruscant Galactic City modular in the style of Ninjago City Should include the Coruscant Underground, Dexter Jettster's Diner, the Senate Building, Padme's apartment skyscraper, and Palpatine's office tower Two airspeeders from opening chase scene as sidebuilds
