  1. The important thing with the new one is that it's very likely he'll be (roughly) to scale with the rumored Buildable C-3PO, which if that looks good would make for a lovely pair imo In the past May 4th promos have always been only for Star Wars purchases, other themes won't count. As for the ship, while I agree that the Naboo Royal Starship would've been way cooler, I also think that would have been massively more disappointing to only get 3 TPM minifigures with compared to the Sith Infiltrator.
  2. The entire point of White Vader is "what if Vader survived the events of RotJ"? Ergo, he'd be alive after the Original Trilogy and (presumably) into the Sequel Trilogy. No timeline discrepancy. (Not to mention that Vader's the most popular SW villain by a country mile so of course he'd be the main "hero" of this concept.)
  3. You don't think that a figure of the villain as a hero fits into a set themed around having the heroes as villains? Also, in the same post you're referencing Falconfan said that Jedi Bob was in the same likelihood category as Vader, and we KNOW that Bob isn't an anniversary figure due to the nature of his set, so that's hardly confirmation for Vader.
  4. There is continually no evidence of White Vader being an anniversary figure, and him fitting so well with the theme of that set makes it even less likely.
  5. No, there are six figures being released in sets: Cal, Saw, Fives, Malak, Young Leia, and one more. The figure in the book is assumedly a seventh figure not part of the main connection.
  6. The question was "how many anniversary figures are there that we don't know about." 1 or 0 is the correct answer, as there's one figure currently unknown but there is some speculation it could be one of the minifigures already rumored for other sets. According to Falconfan, Saw should have the Young Lando/TROS Finn hair, alongside an armor piece and cape.
  7. It's been confirmed by the designers (via the LAN members you got to see the sets early) that every decoration in this set is a print, no stickers whatsoever.
  8. Okay, so just to put it all together, our current confirmed by LEGO or reliable leakers knowledge of Anniversary figures in 2024 is: 1. Arc Trooper Fives in "Boarding the Tantive IV" (Revealed) 2. Darth Malak in "R2-D2" (Revealed) 3. Cal Kestis in "'Death Star Playset'" (Rumored by leakers) 4. Young Leia in an unknown set, which is potentially a buildable creature (Rumored by leakers) 5. *Rebel with a cause* [most likely Saw Gerrera] in "Sith Infiltrator" (Teased by LEGO) 6. Unknown figure in an unknown set, likely an additional figure in a set we already know about (Teased by LEGO) 7. Unknown figure in the 2024 LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary (Mentioned in description, figure unknown) Despite being referred to as one by many Jedi Bob is definitely not part of the Anniversary figure lineup due to the nature of his set, sane with all of the figures in the Dark Falcon fitting too well to be Anniversary figures. In addition, from the four known figure placements so far every Anniversary figure seems to come in a set based on the Saga films, meaning there are four known sets the sixth figure could be included in: 1. Buildable C-3PO 2. Buildable Droideka 3. X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter 4. Escape from the Sarlacc Pit My money's on that last one, though I feel any of them could fit the bill with the possible exception of C-3PO, as that set is rumored to be 18+.
  9. Maybe? The description for the book said the figure has "special anniversary detailing" which to me implies something along the lines of the 20th anniversary figs, but I guess a Boba with unique detailing released as an anniversary figure would TECHNICALLY have "special anniversary detailing", though that explanation feels a bit esoteric.
  10. That would absolutely be a cool figure, but I think it's made unlikely by the fact that we're getting a movie Boba in one of the summer sets, so I don't know if LEGO would consider a variant of him as an anniversary figure enough of a draw as, say, Malak or Cal.
  11. Look, as much as I personally want a minifigure of Chewbacca's dad with the VR pron headset on, I doubt it's very high on LEGO's to-do list.
  12. I feel like if anything Rebel Friend would be the anniversary figure confirmed for the new Visual Dictionary, rather than being in any of the sets.
  13. I think it definitely will have A brick, but I think one for the 25th anniversary of Phantom Menace is more likely. LEGO did design a logo for that after all, so I'm expecting it to be used somewhere. Agreed. When LEGO announced the Harry Potter anniversary figs in 2021 they revealed a "full" collection of 6, only for everyone to find out months later that there were 3 more in that year's D2C. So this likely just means there are six coming in standard retail sets. The confirmed book figure as well as any others included in polybags, the Anniversary celebration set, etc. would be additions, not part of that count. Is it? There's been a ton of speculation on that front, but I don't recall a single actual leak claiming that. Plus, both Dark Rey and White Vader (the two getting tossed around) both fit the theming of the set perfectly, unlike all the other anniversary figs. If there is an anniversary figure included it would either be totally unknown or the mystery blue Gungan (considering the leaks were apparently from before the Sith Infiltrator minifigure list was finalized, I could easily see the former being the case or the latter having been a placeholder). That said, I'm going to predict that there will be NO anniversary figure in that set at all. All of the anniversary figs with known sets are included in sets from the Saga films (Fives, Malak, and Cal in sets from A New Hope; Saw/Ezra in a set from Phantom Menace), and that does seem intentional since we're getting several sets from Mandalorian and Ahsoka that seemingly aren't part of the Anniversary celebration. Also, all of the Anniversary sets so far seem to have main minifig selections that aren't particularly exciting for longtime collectors (no new characters in Tantive, only R2-D2 in R2-D2, a small selection of retreads in the Sith Infiltrator) and the anniversary figures are there to spice things up. Feel free to disagree, but I think a set the Dark Falcon's figures are exciting enough already.
  14. Jfc you two, either take it to DMs or just make out already. This forum is for discussing new sets and speculation, not for hashing out the same tired argument 12 times a month.
  15. LEGO Star Wars designers: "I will make it legal!"
  16. Wow, the March 2024 wave is the gift that keeps on giving! That midi-scale Millenium Falcon is fantastic, EASILY the best looking Falcon LEGO's ever made in my opinion. The shaping is about as perfect as you can get, detail all around and it and all of the decorations look to be printed, which is phenomenal. The cherry on top for me is that (like the Executor) there's a hidden interior with stud-built characters and... a printed 1x1 Dejarik table!! That's INCREDIBLY unnecessary since you'll literally never see it under normal circumstances, but it really shows just how much care went into this one. Fantastic. The Tantive IV... is good, but I do think it's the weakest of these. I think the engines look really good and it's great that this also has all prints, but I think the body shaping is pretty off (particularly those wedge plates up top, the shaping at that section is very complicated but I don't think this was a good representation), and the cockpit seems a bit too small and the cones are unprinted. Not bad and if you don't have a Tantive IV already this is fine, but as someone who owns the 2019 version I have little interest in this. As for the Invisible Hand, I think it looks great! Definitely simpler than the other two, but that's just due to the design of the ship in-universe. It looks to add a great splash of color to this midi-scale line, and it's cool that it can split in half - curious if there are any interior details buried in there like the other two, none are shown but it seems possible.
  17. Yeah, I think there's a very good chance of that. The only two big "hallway" scenes left (excluding Vader in Rogue One, since that's too similar to this Tantive IV set) are Maul in the TCW finale and then the opening of Phantom Menace on board the Donut Ship with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and probably some security droids and Droidekas. While I would personally prefer the latter (we don't get nearly enough Phantom Menace sets and there are some great opportunities for play features, plus Droidekas are objectively awesome), I do agree that the potential of a hallway scene with a bunch of Clone Troopers is an opportunity LEGO can't pass up on - to be frank, I'm a bit surprised we haven't gotten it already.
  18. I mean, I do think there's a bit of a difference between "this toy for children has playability for children" versus "two characters in this set have the exact same face". Aside from Fives it seems there are only two new prints in the entire set (Antilles's face and torso), so I don't think wanting a different Rebel face is crazy unrealistic.
  19. That head wasn't new, it's the same one they used in 2019 for the Rebel Trooper in the Tantive IV and 4+ TIE Fighter. Anyway, I might swap one of the Rebels' heads out for the Hoth AT-ST Driver face - the chinstrap is a little different, but at least then the two Rebels won't be clones.
  20. Hopefully we get them in the next week or so, they are supposed to be releasing in March so they have to be pretty soon.
  21. Oh, good idea! I don't think having multiple of this set connected would look that great (it's not a perfect rectangle, and it looks like you can only connect them front to back) but an escape pod bay or the black corridor where Leia recorded her message would be great additions. Maybe a small Tantive IV expansion with one of those areas to connect to this set could be the May the 4th promo, like how the recent Harry Potter vault promo was designed to connect to Gringotts?
  22. Boarding the Tantive IV looks pretty good, maybe a little underwhelming compared to my expectations but I quite like the build and the play features look cute. Nice to get a new set of prints for Captain Antilles but no new torso for Vader is disappointing (esp since we're allegedly getting him in another SW'77 set later this year) and imo the new all-white Stormtroopers blend in too much - I'll definitely be swapping out those hips for the classic black. R2-D2, though, looks legitimately fantastic. In particular, the dome here looks much rounder than either UCS set, which is great bc that was my biggest issue with both of those. I like all of the little instruments and I don't mind that they don't fold in and have to be attached separately - this is primarily a display set, after all. It'll be nice to finally get an R2 with back printing, and Malak will help me offset the cost of the set by a good $30 or so (just kidding, I never sell my LEGO). My only complaint is that it looks like all of the decorations are stickers, but even then this has quickly gone from a set I had little interest in to one of my favorite sets of 2024 so far. Hopefully the rumored C-3PO looks as good as this - I'd love to have them displayed together.
  23. I feel like if they put any parts at all into the exterior it'll be light gray walls done with curved slopes, however for stability's sake I doubt it'll be any more spherical than that
  24. Motti never wears an officer cap at any point in the movie. If he were included he'd definitely have a hairpiece, same goes for any of the other named officers from the original movie if they end up being included: Tarkin, Yularen, Tagge, etc.
