  1. It’s a question that’s always intrigued me, are all the non-licensed Lego themes connected? I drew inspiration from the famous “Pixar Theory”. We know that in the past, TLG has put in subtle details in their themes, that connect them to past or present themes, but there are others that can only be connected by assumptions or hunches. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to Lego theme history, but I think the whole community has stuff that I didn’t know. So come on in and help us solve the mystery!
  2. There are so many Star Wars minifigures I have always wanted, but have never been made by TLG, here are the ones I want: clone wars/ROTS wat tambor aunt beru dexter jettster boss Nass the kaminoians yaddle
  3. So if Captain America is a battle droid who’s the rest of the 2012 avengers? Here’s what I think: Iron man could be a red and gold astromech droid (iron-D2) the hulk could be a big green GNK (gonk) droid (the gonk) black widow could be an IG series assassin droid (IG-widow) hawkeye could be a commando battle droid (droid eye) And Thor could be a protocol droid (C-ThorPO)
  4. Loved how you used the original Cad Bane minifigure, way better than the 2013 one. I’m glad that there are still people out there who still build Star Wars micro scale, loved doing it all the time, would really challenge my creativity. Finally someone who agrees with me, those were so awesome not only for the micro builds, but were also a good and cheap way to get cool minifigures (Especially the Lobot minifigure that only appeared there, which I had), that were found in more expensive sets.
  5. I see. Very interesting indeed, but my idea was more of a full fledged theme, but that does not qualify for this year’s pitchfest, all in all, thanks for your advice. Then again, ideas is always an option for a set.
  6. Although the theft of MOCs is plagiarism and is the cardinal sin of our community, I am more concerned about possible (hypothetical) theft on the ideas for new themes (non-licensed) topic. People including me share possible ideas for new themes, and therefore sometimes model ideas can sprout from those, but it could be very easy for a MOC stealing lowlife to claim these as their own, there is a lot of cool ideas there, and I want to protect that.
  7. Why exactly would my idea make them liable?
  8. Honestly, do you guys think I should tell TLG or maybe Nabii about my idea? Professional advice is always welcome by me, I mean it could be a good theme, but I’m just a nerdy forum guy, and the guys at TLG are wise beyond their years, so maybe my idea’s not good, but I’ll never find out if I don’t try.
  9. Oh also congratulations on getting married!
  10. Hmmm maybe should submit this for ideas, could make the pirate ship and a Lord Doom-claw mini build, gonna get my smiling face on the cover of the Lego ideas box haha just joking though
  11. Me before I read this earlier: Probably no one on the internet thinks I’m cool My self esteem after I read this earlier: HE IS THE MESSIAH!!!!!!! author’s note: this is a parody of a famous internet meme based on a scene from Monty Python’s Life of Brian
  12. Yeah it’s been brought up before (I actually read all 36 pages, I have this weird ability to remember a lot of details and other stuff related to Lego, I’ve done it a couple times here already), but mostly the general consensus is that pre-2003 licensed minifigures were great because they could be used for their original purpose, or they could be used for custom minifigures and not have the character/actor they are portraying or representing being super obvious. Yeah it just sucks that realistic skin tones are restricted to licensed themes, because I think having both white and black minifigures is cool (I don’t know but I always like when I see white people and black people being friends or cooperating because to me it says to me that it can be possible to be equal, and to not be afraid of each other, from a white man himself, it inspires me) I mean my collection has I believe three black head pieces, then I have a billion white head pieces (stupid clone troopers).
  13. Valid point. The way I see it is that TLG knew they weren’t going to win either way, but that was 2003, if they did that today (especially with BLM and cancel culture), I’m pretty sure no one in Billund would make it out alive author’s note: I fully support Black Lives Matter and am hopeful for a more safe and more equal future
  14. Honestly I think the whole idea broke the system (and I don’t mean the Lego system of play), remember how Nabii was saying how TLG could never crack the code so that steampunk could appeal to children? I personally don’t really know a lot about steampunk (from my understanding it basically has to do with steam powered vehicles but in a historical fantasy setting), but I think it could work, I mean kids know lightning is powerful, so therefore they must have some understanding that using lightning as a power source makes sense, also it could be a nice homage to older themes with little Easter eggs and references
  15. Actually Doom-claw is based on some concept minifigures I was making for a project some four years ago, these are older parts but I assume TLG could make new adaptations/variations of them so Lord Doom-claw is made up this: just the original 1979 hair piece in black the head piece from Gilbert the Bad (stitched on eyepatch, scowl, grey eye, frown, stubble) from the 2000 knight’s kingdom theme A blue torso with silver stud details (unfortunately there is a number one on the back) from Lego soccer/football and just plain black pants No. This is what Doom-claw wants, it’s his motivation, his endgame (no not that endgame), basically he’s going to use a powerful weapon to merge all the realms together so that they are all now his shadow realm Haha now he’s Doom-claw forever!!! The ability to destroy an entire planet is insignificant next to the power of editing
  16. Yeah I forgot about a name change, I was thinking he would look like Ogel but without all that bulky armour, also he would have that “create the world in my image” mindset/catchphrase that Lord Garmadon had in the first few seasons of ninjago
  17. Sure so what do you think about my theme idea?
  18. Me: reads this Also me: sees the notification that Poodabricks followed me Me (flashbacks to Toy Story): “us toys are always watching”
  19. Another thing too is that TLG has never actually made any public apologies regarding past sets and minifigures that were derogatory and offensive like: every set depicting Aboriginal people (western, and that one homemaker figure set from the 70s) the depiction of native islanders being savage and making them the main antagonists in the 1994 pirates theme Lando’s first minifigure in 2003 Sadly the list goes on, but what is truly disturbing is that TLG proudly displays this in their DK books, especially Lego minifigure: year by year a visual history from 2013, where nothing has been pointed out that is offensive
  20. Yeah I am actually Canadian, and live in central Ontario, so the only way to go to an official Lego store is to drive to Toronto or Oshawa, yeah you’ll get used to the crap Lego representation in Canada, we’re basically the bottom of the barrel for TLG, whereas our little buddies across the border have a bunch of Legolands, a billion Lego stores, and lots and lots of architecture sets
  21. Okay unpopular opinion about ninjago: It’s time for ninjago to end. The theme has gone on too long, and the quality has gone down so much. From the pilot to season 5, that is what I consider ninjago’s prime, I liked those, season 6 and 7 were okay, not really up to my expectations, but what really ruined the show to the point of no return was the Lego ninjago movie, that abomination threw season 8 out the window, and then angered the fan base, not to mention their merge little apology (day of the departed are your ears burning?), and then our highly anticipated season 8 is ruined by crap animation, and ninjago movie style ninja, and then it goes on and on and on and on until I have to get cataract surgery because my eyes couldn’t keep track of how many seasons there are
  22. Yeah it got so bad the moderators had to intervene Wahoo!!! First one on page 37!!!!
  23. Okay here’s my idea (feel free to challenge or criticize my idea): three friends travel across different realms (basically themes) in a flying pirate ship that’s powered by lightning (they have to travel through storm clouds for the ship to perform inter dimensional travel), and also fight off the evil forces of Lord Doom-claw, a power hungry warlord who wants to combine all the realms to create a new dark realm, the three friends meet all sorts of weird and whacky characters in their quest to stop Lord Doom-claw. I call it: Realm Runners Poodabricks we meet again haha, anyways yeah I rarely see a house in city, but I assume that if city started doing more houses, they’d probably be the same cookie cutter type of build pattern like they do for every single car (literally I can build one from scratch without any instructions, and it’ll be the same thing as a car from a set), also those creator houses were totally awesome
  24. I know, it’s all in good fun, at least we’re not like the dudes in the older pages having an all out gang war over Lego and social issues (matter of fact I have read all 36 pages in my free time)
  25. I’m Canadian, so we talk the same way as Americans, but honestly I’ve read so much Harry Potter that all I need is the accent and I’ll be British also in Canada, parcel and packages are used interchangeably
