Hi all, I recently made a tiger minifig from a polar bear combined with a standard animal tail bone. Painted in yellow and black stripes. then sealed in varnish. If I have more polar bears I would love to customize black panthers, leopards and what not. . the nose and eyes were picked out using very fine brushes Paired with the circus ringmaster from MF Collectorseries Now is that a worrying smile or a smile? !!! Insert Horror theme! Ok something less frigtening..just killed a goat.. And the angry farmer comes with pitchfork.. before I custom it look like this. Available from the year 2000 polar ice explorer series. This moc is cetainly useful for me as i can add it to many vignette storylines. Hopefully Lego Group, or the other aftermarket companies comes out with more wild animals - the only ones are elephants, ostrich, camels etc.. we need animals like those found in duplo zoo!

I think painting pieces, minifigs is a personal choice ( and skill too). For example, our vintage bluecoat and redcoats had rather plain backs torsos. If you can paint those belts and buckles on, like the newer release redcoat torso designs and the minifigs turn out nicer at the end, why not? Decalling is an easier option if you have the right printer, paper and templates (can be found easily I hope?). But for a part time miniature military modeller like me, nothing beats the satisfaction of painting up a company of tamiya 1/35 American GIs, or german panzer grenadiers.. More constructively. What type of paint is the Emmaile - lacquer , enamel or acrylic based? With Enamels, I can easily control errors by wiping off with cotton buds dipped in enamel thinner(nail polish remover of low concentration). I can't do it for lacquer paints without removing the orginal Lego prints as well. Acrylics can be scrubbed off lightly with soap water while they are still wet, or when partially dry. Also, after painting my bluecoats, I spraycanned a thin coat of clear glossy paint to preserve the shine and protect the painted artwork. Those are just my humble 2 cents from my experiences, I'm sure there are more people on the customizer subforum that have whole lists of great what-to-dos. In summary, its a personal preference honestly. If it makes unique bluecoat troops nobody else in the world has them, it'll be even nicer! Hehehe.

wow that is sure one big project, I am humbled to even be able to build a section of that - I probably don't have enough of the bricks, and minifigures, to equip my fort and town. Yea but some common elements of large pirate towns will be included exactly like Commodore Hornbricker ( any real name I may address him by?) - church, forge, uptown villas.. etc.. it might just take me more than a year to accumalate the bricks and sections. My Caribbean Sea Dragon moc took me about 5 months for the approx 2000 pieces to fall into place. This fort would probably be in the region of 15k minimum. I will take note of the studs vs tiles advice. It will depend on BL's price and quantity available when I get around to paving the street.

some very small updates - I decided to go huge on this MOC. baseplates size is 128 by 128, each plate will be seperable from each other via technic pins and bricks, or similar.. And all the grey and green plates will be raised by the height of 1 BURP/LURP rock panel relative to the blue baseplates - stairs and wharves will make up the height difference. I have taken down the main gate for the major refit and rebuild. For the town, my idea is to have 3 different segments. In the upper left near the green plates will be the upmarket villas and Victorian style houses for the rich folk - Using creator and MOC modular sets. The middle section will have a 19th century middleclass, functional square-ish buildings looking like old London or the nice Nyhavn harbour in Copenhagen. For the plate nearer the sea, It will be "a wretched hide of scum and villainy".. I have 2 sets of 10193 incoming, to make taverns, bazaars and a fish/meat market. I'd appreciate help in this aspect as there are many MOCs out there I've trawled through, all with good ideas and techniques. "Sir, under your orders we have decided to incorporate more baseplates into our MOC, in fact, almost all of our free baseplates have been commited. The town and the fortress will begin shortly. As you can see, its gonna be quite huge-ish.." Good golly scallywags!! Anybody thinks it is a good idea to use square 1x1 plates for the cobblestone roads? Or round plates are better?

Hi all, this is a custom minifig I did today out of remembering MJ's 2nd death anniversary. Used red parts from a santa claus (initial was a MF4 gnome). Head from the werewolf and Dastan PoP. Diorama depicts the scene from the music video of Thriller. Thanks for looking and will appreciate comments and critiques!
-
Thanks guys for warm reception and encouragement. -Bjornu, yes I have made minor adjustments to the baseplate, using a 16x32 for the side rather than a 32x32. Also at the moment I am thinking of rebuilding the gate structure to better fit a portcullis. So yes there will be a major refit. In addition I have been obtaining more bricks for the town and the military depot, testing out the most efficient way of building with less bricks for the walls. I will in a month's time!
-
Wow what a great MOC it blew away my socks and I need to find my jaw.. Amazing detail and techniques!
-
Wow that's a good start. I am also working on my own bluecoat fort, seems we can learn and share from each other's ideas as we build along!

more progress. Finished up the center entrance-main gate, the resupply crane, and a basic port walkway. the resupply warehouse pit crane is mounted on a turntable a guard post and harbor master registrar to bookin all military and visitors to the eastern side of the port, which will be a military compound the main gate interior featues a 1 stud wide slit, which will allow a grilled gate to fall through in case of attack. this is similar to the castle contraptions from black knights of the classic castle era. more baseplates and bricks are being used to build the western extension, which is the town-civilian area with its own port facitlites, and the eastern end will blend into more military buildings.

Recently picked up a loose and incomplete imperial trading post parts from ebay. Gave me the baseplate ramp to build El Dorado fortress, one of my childhood dream sets. But, lacking alot of the yellow panel parts, i decided to improve upon El Dorado, by expanding it to house a full scale harbour and docking facilities for my 4 bluecoat ships. The fortress would also be the key element for an expansion process of an entire Bluecoat barracks compound + a small shipping and fishing port town. The total estimated size should vary from 6 pieces of grey 48x48 baseplates to maybe 10 or more blue 32x32 baseplates for the harbour.. Wish me luck, bricks and money. Having been sailing around the seas for several months, Admiral Broadside realised that he needed to find a good homebase with a large harbour to house his fleet. Therefore, he gave command of the Sea Dragon to the officers, and set off on a fast clipper to scout the Caribbean for a suitable port or harbour from which to set up his headquarters. And he would take it by cannon and gun power if need be And indeed, he sailed and come across a humble little abandoned fort, with a good natural ramp and a repairable walls. This looks like a fine one, doesnt it? without further ado, he set his men ashore to dismantle and clean up the derelict, and begin rebuilding the fortress to call the Bluecoat's own. And we claim this spot, for the Bluecoat empire! Progress was too slow. Broadside decided to use his cannons to speed up the process. And this new fortress and harbour, shall be known as Fort Marlin. And my prized trophy marlin that Mr Skiving Sailor taught me how to catch, shall be placed as mantlepiece above the gates. more details of how i built the marlin.. comparing it to 2 minifigs, makes it rather to scale, as marlin in real life grow to about 5m long, about 2.5 human height. That's all for this first update. Lots of bricks and parts from my Caribbean Capital's spares and Bricklink/ebay orders are streaming in over the weekend and next week, so I will update then. As for the overall scheme of the port, I should be building a sort of hybrid cross between Zceberus's Fort Brighton's white-yellow-red themed soldiers fort and barracks, wall structures, martinsuper's Port Defiance great docking harbour, and Dandrew's Jeff Elliot beach buildings. I am still looking through the vast number of great mocs on the pinned archive thread for inspiration on the town-port buildings. Keep on brickin'!

Hi all again, here with an interesting MOC project. I have recently gotten a few extra islander minifigs on top of those from my catamaran and kahuka throne set. I have always admired the Islanders for being able to stand up to the great pirate-imperial wars with nothing but arrows and spears, but What if the Islanders became the wiser and started making bigger and better boats than plain canoes, and importantly, given guns and gunpowder? And not to mention that Islander Mocs are far and few, but some can be really fun and interesting. Just search for islander moc thread. Anyway, hope I could build up my variety of shipbuilding genres and also inspire the master shipbuilders out there to try something different :) The boat is still in a WIP progress, and bricks can still be edited for a better version, so please offer comments and critiques and we can all improve(Of course, my stash of bricks allowing for said recommendations). This is a main overview of the warboat. Hulls are semi brickbuilt, invilving attaching a brown boatlaunch to several plates, and a bracket brick to mount the brown wings and plates sideways. The stern is simple, I have yet to add the oar rudder similar to the catamaran. It is so empty I might add a small grey brickbuilt effigy of a god. Also, Kahuka's war throne, a shield wall around the poop deck will eventually be added. Mast is simply a sailboat mast, with long 1xplates built together. The sail is planned to be a trapezium cross between a lateen and a gaff sail. And it will be painted using pastel colours in the fashion of the Kahuka coat of arms. A rower's spot for 4 rowers, is commonly found, when there is no wind to power the proa, or when the islanders decide to increase speed to 'Ramming speed'( Ben-hur reference) A serpent head is added. This might resemble Ku, the Polynesian feathered god of war. I have ordered a part 30276 Akku's facemask as well. the outrigger is simple at the moment, just some red 1x and 2x bricks, with a slope front. It is attached to the main boat using archs and 1x plates. That is all for now. I will update as soon as I have made the sails and added more bricks! Keep on brickin'!
-
Thanks guys for the comments so far, yes Captain Blackmoor I will watch my grammar. I have done some recent editing on the bow layout. Instead of the brown boat, I have brickbuilt the bow, using slopes and what not. This has made the bow shorter but sturdier. The overall shape of the front was made to look like a lion/monster. A sloped ramp was added to the bow. This is fixed and can no longer be opened unlike the earlier version. The stern overhang was lightened up by removing one winged hull on each side. I had also torn the rear compartment out from behind the throne, and also shifted the tarpaulin structure's struts position. The assembly can now rest upon 2 tiles in side the throne room, and is also held in place by the upsloping ramp and front entrance Parts for the mast have been ordered, so expect another update within a week or so. The sails will be in lateen shape, and then you guys will be able to get a full view picture.

Tomcat RIO replied to Tomcat RIO's topic in Pirate MOCs
Hi everyone, after a long time away I am back! Continued progress on the QingLong. This time, instead of the old harry potter hull, I opted for a full brick built hull, which I can control width and gradient. Parallel sides was cross barred, and created a frame on which the long green bricks were added. with the MF series black tiles, i added them as a psuedo jumper tile white bricks added to give a gradient the bow and stern waterline was finished up with slopes and a 'rudder' the front of the junk was built with 2 crocodragons spouting flame as seen in the Mk1 version. Here you can also see the details of the bow section plates and bowsprit areas. Junks have a flat sloping bow above the waterline. however, after some consideration of the bricks that i own, i decided the white bricks must be saved at all costs for another project, hence replaced with more green bricks. for a final version colour scheme. In the following pictures you can see my humble attempt to step and gradient the hull from front to back and top to waterline, creating slopes using the standard bricks, without jumper tiles. The main mast is made of a bracket attached to a swiveling tile, allows the entire assembly to rotate. mast itself is made of 1x8 plates.. I ran out of the standard ship masts.. A trapdoor compartment allows goods to be stored, i need to add a plate base below decks, otherwise the goods will literally fall through the bottom. The roof is a thachy appearance, will need more plates. Mistress Qing stands outside the cabin, whose door needs to be replaced soon with a proper opaque one. the interior is bare at the moment, probably going to return the incense shrine from version1, as well as adding chinese themed ornaments. Any particular Asian-Chinese/Korea/Japanese furniture MOCs to recommend? that is all for now.. -
hi there Ed-209, i loved your idea of elf sticker and decal torsos, and some of your design templates look good. i did some myself, but instead of the printers i uses good old paint brush, some acrylic and enamel model paints. here are the results. some edited and based on your designs, others slightly modified.. Thank you! Mods I do not know if I should start a new thread but since this is simliar I have posted here. can't get a MF3 elf? make you own! how about elf tunics, without armor. Elite Forest guard. the elf king of the woodland realm how about some elf common folk? in the forest, there be hawks and falcons too Doe a deer a female deer, but this is a stag. I made this for the elf king, since on the shield of the MF3 minifig is a stag. Antlers are made from epoxy putty, and painted when hardened. a mounted stag, something to outcool the barding horses out there. the current small forest guard.. An elf scout, ranger. Minifig torso is custom painted, note the dagger inspired by Ed-209's design. Quiver is standard, but with a scabbard mod to hold a sword ( for close in combat)lossley based on the Prince Persia's katana holder. Lucky red Parrot upgraded to a hawk, by painting in brown, with feathers. Elven citizen militia. Scratchbuilt elven sword, uncomplete wip as yet, going to make the hilt and blade blend in nice curve. I know brickarms and brickforge make nice elven swords, would love to order from them, but at the moment DIY suffices. Shield is from vintage forestman set. Elf elite forest guard. The MF3 elf archer was brickverted to a Elf Army man, with the bow as his main weapon, and the modded scabbard quiver holding the sword of his choice. All the torso is handpainted. no decal or stickers.. hence the lousy armour chain mail pattern :(. The one on left most has golden thigh armour, acting as the captain/prince of the Army. Tthe pretty elf witch. Completely painted, including 2x2x2slope brick. Instead of ED-209's full long dress, I opted for the lighter mini-skirt found in games like Warcraft, Warhammer and the like. The elf king, complete with a golden elvish armour. Lastly, a simulated battle between the trolls and orcs and my woodland elves! PS - I am slowly converting the minifigs to flesh heads and hands. It might take a while as they are hard to come by in loose and very high in demand. The Yellow heads are temporary. Thanks Ed-209 for the inspiration, would love to hear from you guys for constructive feedback on how i can improve. I am going to work on blue themed High Elves next.

fitted out the captain's drawers using technique from IFS. repainted the coat of arms topsail the Sea Dragon now sails forth on her shakedown cruise to rid the redcoat scourge! me fellow bluecoats, i proudly welcome you all abroad the Sea Dragon, flagship of the Broadside Armada. Raise your glasses and hoorah for victories! After a few too many rounds.. the captain thinks he's Elton.. singing "Blue eyes", baby's got blue eyes.. following is a short story comic to introduce the Capital ship. "it has been several months since the Imperial Red Coats defeated Brickbeard, and he fled away on a castoff and naught been heard. The Imperial Soldiers have heard about this news, and the might of the IFS. They decide to launch the BCS Sea Dragon. and patrol the farthest ends of the Caribbean. The following, is 1 such encounter on a particular day.." run out the guns to port! Bring her along side, gunners on the ready! Captain 'Elton' strides down the deck. yelling "infantry marines, all on the deck. shoot them red coat devils down!" "Red Coats! For king and country! give them our volley!" ALL CANNONS. FIRE!!!! What will happen next? will ships be blown up and sailors gone to meet Davy Jones? Will the RedCoats defeat the new Sead Dragon? Or will Brickbeard and some pirates enter the fray? Avast. Shiver me timbers... Stay tuned to more of Broadside's broadside against Woodhouse's IFS..

likes the furniture! will certainly adopt some of the ideas - especially the jumper tiles for drawers! thumbs up!

thanks all for the kind words. this is my first major modular ship MOC, the previous were very basic mods and brickbuilt. I would try to improve the modular style for my other MOC WIPs currently under way. and Captain Becker, I agree with you, the cabin looks a bit squarish and linear compared tot eh rest of the ship. It is probably my lack of sloped and inverted slope bricks that I am unable to make a better gradient for the back. If in future i amass more bricks I will come back and modify that section. And yeah you can copy the idea for the ship's bell, i assume everybody on the pirates forum has at some point or another obtained a pirate's coconut tree, so sacrificing 1 stem for the essential ship's bell might be of no harm... I used Testor's Enamel Silver paint, but i found that my sister's silver coloured nail polish works fine too :) anyway, here's the late update I promised. the officer's mess, dining room. what a delicious spread of food! Captain now has a cape - "hey, am i suave in this.. oooh of course, being an 'impeiral soldiers' ship, there has got to be something to be imperial about. like a king. Or a lord. And therefore introducing King Leo from the castle Fantasy, making a cameo. King Leo: "I'm still a bluecoat by any name." the captain's cabin in detail. a chair, table with lots of map, glassware and a seahawk from his previous command. the bed flips open to reveal the gold treasures under the pillow. hehehehe a mirror and a hat stand. mirror is actually a stickered roundtile from space series, can't exactly remember, probably the exploriens from the 90s. moving below the captain's cabin, once the blue modular section is removed, the shipmates and officers bunk is revealed. the mate's bunk is in the middle of 2 stairways leading up to the sun deck, and down to the gun deck. strategic location for quick movement anywhere by resting crews, in case of emergency. the drum, trumpet of war is also housed here. the officer's cabin is more fanciful. 1 of my oficers is a naturalist-botanist, hence the many specimens, treasures and glassware of preserved items. and below the mate's cabin, which when removed, reveals the kitchen. the poor marines bunk here, under the stairs, although this section is joined to the lowest deck section in the previous thread. the kitchen here is full of little stuff. the stove is covered with a black grill made from MF plates. a dining section is added for 1 sailor only. knifes, pots and pans for the cook from everywhere the cook is from Pizzeria city set, also found in paradisa. i can't help but insert a famous movie line from steven seagal here.. " I'm just a cook." the stairs and railings. chains, when arranged nicely, can make a good railing. Launch the landing boats!!! showcasing the mechanisms.. George Washington crosses the Delaware River.. alright that's all my updates for now.. gonna be busy with school, work, and building other vessels. But will definietely work on improving this ship as a on and off thing.

started to fill up the ship and make it a ocean going war vessel. the barrels fit nicely through the hole, and with a slope, slide into place. load her up with water and food! through the access hatches live animals on board.. cannon cart is added man the upper deck guns! cannon balls added too the lower gun deck leads to the marine's bunks. seperated by a bulkhead and door the marine's cabin, complete with backsacks lying around, and food drinks and journals on a table. 1 of the sailors has planted breadfruit, a common food plant found in the pacific and caribbean. the fireplace for the galley stove is also made moving out of the interior, we go into the exterior. a ship's bell was made from availble parts, chief among them a coconut tree stem assembled so paint it chrome silver and hang it up here an officer rings the bell to sound the watch, shows you the rough indication of size mini cannons were also made, again thanks to the great tutorials on the forum a full set of sails was measured out, cut, and painted using water colours, on drawing block paper. i mixed the blue with a bit of white to get approximate shade amongst the sails include a unique one with the old cannon coat of arms sails are held into place by cones, or minifg hands on a 3mm diameter clear pipes a cannon broadside is loaded. but some flags/ porthole covers still missing another view a view of the stern, and rudder, and details string attached to the foresails a celebration is ongoing in the officer's mess. more pics soon! and if you have a sharp eye, you might have spotted our friendly Mr Skiving sailor. now he's a fishing! using parts from MFseries 3 fisherman comments and critiques are welcome. i will be showing the galley, mate's bunk, captain's cabin amongst other things, this weekend. stay tuned! ps. and a quick question, i can't change the thread title with my user settings, isit permanent right from the start. maybe it is better to put this as a WIP thread, dun wanna mislead people.

Tomcat RIO replied to Tomcat RIO's topic in Pirate MOCs
with some hilarious turnaround, i decided to set fire to the ship. jump!! argh, the ship is afire!! no, joking. i am rebuilding the bow and stern sections, following from tazmaniac and more pictures i found on google. and most importantly, more bricks are incoming !!! -
109D hi all, here with another of my current wips, and draining most of my brown bricks. this is a dhow/xebec design of an arabian pirates, similar to the corsair galleys of barbary. what do you do with extra prince of persia parts? convert them into something useful!! nobody loves PoP. i love it if only for the desert tan bricks.. for the base of the ship, i used an old spare train base! overall main shape details of the rear, familiar? i used a 7111 droid fighter for the parts i used a flipping tile for the angled rear the lion head from harrypotter set, clip is supposed to be a claw. the front is a big raft from adventurers, attched via plates to the hull the bow is a mess of brown bricks, attched in unique ways a cargo hold is made integral, in the front of the ship the rowing/cannon section this is then covered with an upper deck for the mast the interior of the stern, captain's cabin is slowly built up the captain's throne the windows made from the ostirch race set and it fits snugly, covered with the rest of the stern deck the stern and main hull is angled off, so need some plates to cover the gaps a rudder is added, also to prevent the stern section from sliding down, by jamming it with a brick stern is mainly done a sheik omar with the double hilt backpack, bodyguard to the captain finally the captain himself, anyoen watched POTC3 and remember shishumbagi from 1 of the pirate lords?? :) figure is shiek omar, with beard from the kingdoms green wizard, cut to fit the turban with red turban from adventurers, looks better as a perisan king? the rest of the crew from desert attack etc are added, with 2 dastans!! haha. the ship will look like an arab dhow/xebec with triangle sails.. do google it if free. comments and critiques welcome!

Confucius say, man in wooden ship , should not play with fire
Tomcat RIO replied to Tomcat RIO's topic in Pirate MOCs
thanks for the opinion Tazmaniac and fred67! yup- i have a severe lack of brown parts as it is currently used by another project, but if i wished, i can paint the parts brown, though it would not be nice... sigh as for the red deck and green parts, some of the modern junks i've been on in hongkong have nice carpeted decks, or green/blue and red dragon motifs painted on the wooden sides. i think those are restaurants however, not plundering pirates avast! just trying to mix and match. yup i will move the foremast back, looking at your picture, seems the bow has quite a steep incline that starts further back amidships compared to those i found on google. will see what i can do.. -
[pid][/pid] 119B hi it's me Kevin again. here is my small gaff/square rigged sloop for my imperial guards faction. as i didn't have the fortune of buying a 6271 ship, i had to build my own!! lol. the front and back hulls were from the time-traveller ship that i bought at a flea market for a cheap song, together with a mass of other bricks and parts. i brickbuilt the center hull, and plated the joint. 3 cannon ports were designed for the broadside, and little cannons were MOC, using Tazmanic's moc, plus the wonderful indexed thread of many people's work on this forum. the sails were printed on drawing paper because of their rigidity. again, using the templates found here. i realised the aft sail became a lateen instead of a square, and it is also bigger than the mainsail :0 , something is wrong with the size of the uploaded jpgs, remember to edit the image size if you wish to print exactly the same sized sails as original the foresail is attached via chains aft sail using long rods ( i ran out of rods for the top mast hehehe) main sail using the new masts, technic parts and more rods the stairs was clipped on, and the main mast was made of 2x2 barrels, with a technic rod running through the center for strnegth the tail end was made to represent some whalebone structure.. the small and squeezing poopdeck beneath the poop deck is a small cabin. i have yet to decide what to build inside. since its small, probably a dining table, some arm chairs, a treasure chest and map. open for ideas what can fit in a small cabin the figurehead is a red scorpion, overdone i know yes, but suits the red coats. and suits my wordplay - is it the red sea's stinger; or a red, sea stinger? hehehe. again, this is still a wip, i will probably add more slopes on the edge of the hulls, and add some plates over the gun deck to give it a semi covered deck like the BSB.

109B hi all, here with my 3rd moc wip thread on this forum. Chinese junks are rare to find in lego MOC(and they always look good). From where i'm from, they were quite common historical boats in the south east asian seas, plying trade between china, the south china sea, across the indonesia archipelago. having watched POTC and lord Saofeng, i was inspired to make one typical chinese junk for the pirates based in Singapore (trust me Singapore's pirates did not look like that :) ) this is the Qing Long, which translates to Green Dragon. the hull is built on the harrypotter durmstrag ship, for a short and wide hull. too short in my opinion. bamboo ribbed sails were made of simple drawing paper, printed with the design of the lego set emperor's ship, template found right here on the 'master index' forum thread. then holes cut, and stuck on technic poles figure head is a dual pair of dragon-crocs on either side, spouting flames.. in the center is the ballista shooter from the troll warship set. the ancient chinese had designed lots of siege and naval weaponry without gunpowder since the 3rd cen. BC. and i happened to have it lying around. the primary weapon, with a shorter range than the ballista is the flame catapult from KK2 8873 the sides of the junk are 'armour plated', so to speak, using lots of CMF baseplates. i would link them up using green 1X1 studs or long 1 stud width plates when i get them. the plates are attached to the hull using a slope bracket also, the center of the hull has an opening for 2 grille 8x8 plates. i bricked up the rear one, but i'll need one for the front. this is a temporary substitute and some of the crew.. most are dragon knights from 1993, armed with the neo-feudal 19cent. style of longsword and rifles. however, for the commander, i used the samurai from MF3, as the feudal japanese helmet was similar to those of the late Qing dynasty warlords. as you can see behind the lord, is a small yellow prayer altar. Chinese folklore and tradition prayed to a sea spirit to ensure their safety in the seas.. but for the victims of this pirate junk, safety is in doubt. C and C are welcome! and espeically on the bow of the hull, i need to widen it to make it more 'squarish' like a real junk.

the Lego online community has been saddened at the loss of great individuals who have contributed to our Lego pasttime. In doing what they did, they benefited thousands of Lego fans like you and i, both on eurobricks-classic pirates forums, and also Bricklink as a convenient marketplace for Lego. Although i do not know them personally, i had benefited from their wonderful ideas and efforts for the online community. their contributions will certainly endure on, and may they rest in peace. At the same time, we also may remember some of the individuals, friends, and even family, that may have supported us along the way in our Lego pasttime, as i do remember a granduncle who bought me a huge StarWars set years ago. May he be smiling happily wherever he is, because he made a kid very happy then.
