That's a shame, I hope we get more info soon.

If the next Bond film is more fun, I hope they make it into a Lego theme. There are a lot of Bond films that could get Lego sets.
-
Before we start I want to tell you that I have nothing against the theme, I am happy that Lego found a line that could work for them. The way I see it, Ninjago is Lego's Power Rangers, it can go on for a very long time. I made this thread to discuss the future of the theme, the next 10 years it could have. Right now we know Ninjago is continuing in 2023 and it seems the core sets are already selling well with no show going on at the moment, so what's next? What's next for Ninjago? It seems the summer will give us some crystal or stone villains and 2023 is all guess work. How can Lego keep the theme fresh? Will it get a hard reboot like Transformers gets every few years? Will they release a new set of characters? What do you expect? Post your predictions for the theme. I do not think Ninjago will get cancelled, not easy anyway. If the sets were to not sell well then Lego would do anything to course correct that and save the theme. I have a few predictions for the theme, will post them soon. But one of them is that I think we will get another theatrical Ninjago movie soon, made by Universal Pictures this time.

Why does Playmobil still have Historic themes, but not LEGO?
Mr No replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think this has more to do with how much money can Lego make from that, I think Playmobil, which is a small toy company compared to Lego, has a different view on their sales and if their toys sell good on how they expect them they will keep producing them. But Lego got so big, if a theme doesn't perform so well for their expectations, I wouldn't be surprised if they end it soon. -
Is any lego fansite going to that one? Maybe we get descriptions of the sets (I don't think they allow photos to be taken)

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Mr No replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Sigh. WHATEVER Btw, Cameron did not direct Dark Fate or Alita. Classic space is never coming back and we have to accept this, I am looking forward to the Avatar 2 sets. You guys get City space sets instead. And, I get it, lots of you guys got something against Cameron. It's ok, but if you got something against him then I DO NOT CARE. Jim has not doubted me once, so I trust him on the sequels and I think Avatar 2 will be the highest grossing film of 2022, not 3 billion but I think it might get to 2. End of this, I will not reply anymore to these posts, if you hate Avatar 2 or Cameron, keep it for yourself or post it, but do not bring me up. -
Because they started this kind of trend with Monster Fighters, it's more about the possibility of the next theme to be licensed and perhaps it is Universal Monsters..

So, crystal warriors?

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Mr No replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Whatever. Btw, I am not a fanboy, but Cameron being doubted by people then exceeding all expectations has been all of his career. See you in December. -
I actually wonder if Black Adam not getting sets has something to do with New Line, because they are making the film, WB is only distributing it.

So, I was watching some Lego Indiana Jones 2 cutscenes, and I was surprised to see a tank in the cutscenes. I was like, wow. I did not expect that, it seems Lego is ok with tanks in their videogames but not sets? It's not like that model of tank is being used anymore anyway..

The Batman has a 100 million budget (without marketing), I wonder what kind of budget Batgirl has. I am pro theatrical experience, I still think movies made for theaters have a bigger chance to be good compared to straight to streaming. Now it begs the question...will we get Batgirl sets?
-
That Keaton Batman suit in Batgirl...damn I wish this film would be theatrical. They already made Blue Beetle to get a theatrical release instead of HBOMax, I hope they do the same for this film.

I don't think Fallen Kingdom had a lot of things they could make into sets so I'm not surprised they made some things up for them. But Dominion is a film that will take us around the world, with different locations so I think Lego has enough material from this film to make into sets.
-
Well, yeah. They got HP, back in 2018 with the new FB release, of course they only made two Fantastic Beasts sets since then and I don't think Secrets of Dumbledore will get any, with thst excuse of a comeback HP proved to be a successful theme and got evergreen status. I do hope HP won't affect LotR from coming back (because fantasy genre) but I don't think it will because both IPs are very different. The most logical moment for a come back is with the Amazon show, in which Lego will make a new deal with WB to release sets based on the 6 movies and when the anime film comes out, that way they will use the hype produced by the new show. I think that's another reason why WB greenlit the anime film, because of the hype for the Amazon show. And they only had film rights.

I wonder if we will get confirmation at NYTF for the license. I doubt we will see any sets (we don't even have a trailer, yet).

I thought we could discuss something interesting, what put an end to the deal between ViacomCBS (Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon) and TLG? Lego has made sets based on multiple Viacom properties such as Spongebob, TMNT and Avatar The Last Airbender. So what happened? I think during the year 2014, when the Bay Turtles film sets flopped, Viacom pulled the plug and moved to Mattel for Mega Bloks (later on known as Mega Construx). I think Lego didn't have an interest in their properties either, including the fact that WB and Disney were more important for Lego. Will we see more Viacom sets in the future? I don't think so, Mattel doesn't seem to have any license from them anymore but I have my doubts we will see any Lego sets for a long them. I also think a small brick based conpany got the Spongebob license. Right now Lego has strong deals with Disney, WB and now Universal (which also has rights to make Lego movies) and ViacomCBS is in trouble, Paramount Pictures is close to be sold (they lose lots of money). No idea on Nickelodeon. I just don't see Lego wanting to work with Viacom anymore. That's why I cannot see any Avatar TLA set become a reality even though there is some demand, it doesn't seem likely.

Maybe the armor is from Ninjago
-
Oh Jeez, it was a joke

Well, we get Indiana Jones (first 3 movies) and Avatar 2 themes in the fall.

Apparrently Tommy Adreassen is against aliens. Bummer
-
I hope it's not snakes again. I also wonder if Core has feplaced Legacy and each winter will now have a core wave and summer will be for tv show season sets.
-
Any idea on what the summer wave will be like? Villains?
-
No, it's a quote from the character Dumbledore played by Ian McKellen in the highly successful film, Scarface, from 1999.
