43205 could have Pocahontas and we still don't have all the lists.
-
Avatar has 3 more sequels coming, I don't think the theme will go away after 1 wave. People still underestimate it. And Disney won't screw with it, the fact we even get sets tells you they are ready to invest in this franchise. I also think there won't be too many new moulds for the theme. I actually wonder how they will do the Na'vi minifigs, I guess most od the creatures can be brickbuilt and some small aliens could be new moulds. There will be lots of new prints and colors.

Yes, but Amazon ones would be winners if there was a competition, and there are more things going on there, but when you are the biggest company in the world yoy kind of get away with everything. Don't get me wrong, I am ok with Lego ending their partnership with Activision, but they are not the only rotten apple in the world, just because they will get "punished" it does not mean the bigger bad guys will.

I guess the 3 Lightyear sets are normal sets then and not 4+ which is so good.
-
Wouldn't that be too late though? The film is out in April.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Mr No replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I read long ago that Marvel Studios had a bigger role in marketing for this film compared to the previous two Sony Spider-Man. -
Yeah, let's forget about all the Amazon drivers that kill people every year because they have to go fast. This discussion will lead nowhere. All companies do awful things, some are better at keeping people shut. Shilling for them won't get anyone here into some high position. I'm out of this, you guys can continue if you want. Moving on from this, if the OW sets are not happening anymore this will make the Gaming lineup smaller for this year. Hopefully they got more stuff beyond the HZD set.
-
Good question, this is just PR stuff. Giants like Amazon and Disney seem to be ok, even though they did awful things (including Amazon). I call it a bad move but whatever, atleast I will save cash for Indy and Avatar sets and whatever else is coming.
-
Why not both?
-
Ok, I thought it was because it apparently came from the one who leaked Raimi sets which might not happen.
-
If Coconut is Indy then I guess they are closer to 2023 anyway, which 2023 should be Indy's year. Is Coral the codename for Avatar 2 then or just speculation?
-
Does this mean the Tower of Dr Fate leak is fake?
-
Keep in mind there are sets missing, there could be two aditional Avatar sets for all we know. I still think Avatar 2 will get 6 sets, seems in line with previous Disney properties and licenses, including the fact that I think it will introduce some big new moulds. And Indy should be 6 for what I know, I think Indy either has a June or August release. October is too late, for sure it's Avatar 2.
-
Only two release dates for sets we know that should be coming. The rest of the list is made from sets that appeared on different sites, dunno if some are happening. 76978 Overwatch 2 Orisa & Efi (old leak) 76979 Overwatch 2 Battle for Rio (old leak) 76980 Overwatch 2 Null Sector Omnic Titan (01 February, 2022) (also an old leak) 76981 Overwatch 2 Talon Dropship (old leak) 76982 Overwatch 2 set 76983 Overwatch 2 set 76984 Unknown 76985 Unknown 76986 Unknown 76987 Unknown 76988 Unknown 76989 Horizon Zero Dawn Tallneck (01 May, 2022)

I think they are for Avatar 2 (and probably not the full list). That site didn't have all the sets that release later this year, some things are missing.
-
GreekBricks thinks it's for Indy, atleast that's what I get from his IG post. But I think it is for Avatar 2, and I expect two more sets so Avatar 2 will get 6 sets and 1 Brickheadz pack.

Did someone fix the Gargantos set yet? I don't think it requires a lot of parts, right? -

Does that site feature all summer sets? I guess IP is another license, perhaps Avatar or Indy, what is Coconut codename? I see they still use Leaf for Mario. -

Series 23 is this year? I thought it will release in 2023. -
The sets will most likely release in september or october. So yeah, we will get pics in the summer. I think I found the Avatar list, atleast I think so. It's more guess work here. Codename might be coconut and release date is october 1st, 2022 which makes sense for a december movie release to get toys in october. Lego Coconut 75571 Lego Coconut 75572 Lego Coconut 75573 Lego Coconut 75574 Edit. Coconut is Indiana Jones.

I don't get why Lego isn't releasing it in western markets, the show is actually great. Perhaps it's because of the prices, dunno.
-
So, will we get sets from these projects?
-
According to Tommy Adreansen, they pitched Lego a lot of themes and he worked on a lot of them that will never see the light of day. This thread is to discuss these themes that could have been, which we might learn about in the upcoming years, hopefully. Here is an interesting one: Mike Rayhawk, long time artist and conceptual designer for LEGO, once worked on what started as a theme involving Johnny Thunder, which he described as "a pitch for them to go to the arctic and discover mammoths and sabertoothed tigers stuck in the ice, which became a city theme instead" - the 2018 City Arctic sets. https://mobile.twitter.com/mikerayhawk/status/1298023646657744897 Of course, some might become part of City or Ninjago. Another one from Mike: My favorite find was a ninjas vs underworld skeletons pitch I made in 2004. It was Ninjago, but reversed - the ninjas were the bad guys and the skeletons were the good guys. It'd be funny if that was the concept that developed into Ninjago years later and I never knew it.
