1936 Opel P4 and 1938 Opel Olympia in 1/32 scale (6w)
idlemarvel replied to Sven J's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Very clever parts usage, especially on the Opel. The transition from 4-wide bonnet to 5-wide body is clever, and the use of stacked saucers for the radiator grill is genius. Never seen so much NPU! -
Unread content? Bugged? Or how to use it?
idlemarvel replied to Kalais's topic in Forum Information and Help
If you have made this change then it has not fixed this particular issue as far as I can see. I listed all unread content, no Train Tech items listed, then went to the Train Tech forum and there were 3 unread items. It's not a major issue, the forum works well overall for me for which I thank you. -
Technic Pub
idlemarvel replied to jantjeuh's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I second that! -
You can't blame TLG for building sets that sell. There are plenty of "pre-car era" Technic sets on eBay or Bricklink, not to mention alt builds and Rebrickable, that I want to build and haven't got around to yet. It'll be a while before I run out of those, and in reality given my age I don't suppose I ever will.

The icing on the cake to see it running so well IRL at a show. Much admiration for your design skills and attention to detail.- 28 replies

Congratulations on getting this wonderful and technically sophisticated train running so well on standard Lego track. Your perseverance is to be admired!

[Virtual MOC] Stadler Flirt UK - TfW Class 231
idlemarvel replied to Hod Carrier's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great model with a lot of attention to detail. If you ever built it, I'm guessing a 4-car set would be quite heavy (let's not mention the cost!) and would required a few motors. -
[WIP] Lego monorails. [Custom Rail Systems (CRS)]
idlemarvel replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Train Tech
This is a cross-posting from General Parts Discussion, where the pictures are better. It's interesting but we don't need to see it twice. :-) -
I like these "imagined" locomotives, kind of steam punk but in vibrant colours! I guess you use imgur for your pictures ( I get "content not viewable in your region" messages) but the YouTubes work fine. As you say it does fly around those R88 curves.

Unread content? Bugged? Or how to use it?
idlemarvel replied to Kalais's topic in Forum Information and Help
Have you made this change? If so it does not appear to have fixed the problem. This morning I listed all Unread Content, and I did a refresh to make sure nothing had been just added. There was no content in the theme I follow, Train Tech. I then went to Train Tech and there was one unread item from several hours previously. This was at about 6:40 am GMT this morning 31 Jan. Hope this helps. -
