Well I dont have this set yet but I asked my girlfriend to get it for me for Christmas, so hopefully I get it before next month is up. Anyway I would like this set alot because I've been wanting to add a water element to my castle display in anticipation of next years 7048 Troll's Attack Ship.

Dont feel bad. I have trouble keeping my bricks clean also seeing as I display so many. Also when I buy some used lots they usually come dirty so thats more work there. I should put some up. I have six different themes displayed right now. :-D :-D

Yeah I dont think that manned ships were used as decoys often (at least with pirates) because 1 its risky and 2 not many pirates had more than one ship. :-)

Wow I always love your vigs Tiny PiesRUs. This one is no exception. Only thing I woulda done different is put a few more soldiers to give it the crowded feeling that the painting has.

I'm from a smaller town so I dont get much in the stores. At my Target I haven't seen any MB. Thier buiding toy aisle has only Lego and playmobil. At walmart its only one aisle about half Lego and half MB. I've actually talked to the store manager about getting more Lego in there and he just said that he doesn't make that detirmination thier coporate headquarters does.

*n* I was never really into MM at all I had kinda got interested when the commercials started showing up at the movies and such. The astronaut running from the badass looking aliens looked really fun. Then the sets came out and the aliens sucked, the sets were uninteresting and the largest base had things like the pump you hit to make the aliens fly out which really turned me off. To me sets need to be detached from our reality to make it imaginitive, none of that hand of god stuff. Anyway these sets are not convincing me to join in with MM. :-/

The individual sets look interesting lots of nice parts. If you've seen the movie the big book is the catalogue of all the toys in the Emporium. You think of the toy you want open the book to the letter it starts with and the toy magically pops out. I think it ties in perfectly with the idea of Lego because you can come up anything with imagination. Its the point of the movie and its the point of Lego. So I think it was a good promotion. Just as a side note I saw Duplos (just a glimpse) in the movie and one of the characters mentions Legos in a line. I know I'm a Lego maniac when I catch things like that.

Got mine bout two months ago. It was in perfect condition except for the sail, which was faded and frayed. But to me that increased the appeal of the set rather than took away from it. Think about it, is the pirates sail going to be perfect? No, its going to been wind worn and sun faded. So my set is even more perfect than the original. :-P :-P :-D
