That will probably be because the clips for the rails are fragile. The rest probably had one part break off and the part was dumped.

Struggling with grey large lego base
CastleRail replied to Xyz123's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Are you building on a hard flat surface? Even a slightly soft one will allow the baseplate to flex slightly under pressure and could be making it difficult to place bricks -
I'm not sure where in the world you are but if you're UK based there's at least 1 builder who works in the Technic figure scale. I've seen him before displaying at Steam and at Wares The Brick. Photos are somewhat scarce and I can't remember his name - try here Newspaper, the second picture in the gallery shows some of it.

It's not made up, rest assured. There's even two variants of it 3614a and 3614b and the wrist/arm it inserts into is 3613

Try the Train, Track category on Bricklink perhaps. 4.5V Straight Track, inside curve, outside curve and various crossovers and switches.

Would you advise going 6, 7, 8 or 10 Duplo studs wide for best scaling? The tunnel could be useful for strength and structure hidden behind a proper portal but will probably be expensive as a set and on PAB.

Anyone know what the late November/December GWPs will be?

Yes :-) -
For me, storage. What I would love is for a modular storage system - a system that can attach extra compartments on each side as suits the space, that have multiple compartments that can be combined to form larger sections in any direction. So I guess a back board with pin holes where you pick a hole for the pin and each pin can be connected to the left./right/up/down to an adjacent pinto form a side of a box. Form any regular sized box and then into this box a drawer. So for instance a 1x1 square could hold a drawer of 2x2 plates, when it is too full, expand the hole and the drawer to 2x1 etc. Then when you have so many 2x2 plates so it is becoming hard to find break it down again so a 1x1 of red, a 1x1 of black, 1x1 of grey etc. I would cover walls in this. Over shelves, under tables, if there's a gap I could use it.

If you're going the magnet route then save the hassle and use blu-tack!

You don't get many completely airtight bags... assuming you're just looking for storage and not some form of inert stasis like Mylenium implies then just get a bit of air out and put them away like that. As you fill up space with them they'll slowly let small amounts of air out as the pressure of other bags puts a light force on each and it leaks around the seal.

If you want to design a new one, feel free. But please don't say you'll only do it only if it will be used. Do it and if people like it then it can be considered.
