  2. Came on here to let people know about the horses but looks like others already spotted it! :D Although seems to glitch and won't allow me to confirm order, could just be an issue on my end... Hope it means 90th anniversary or farm sets revealing soon! My guess is 90th anniversary
  3. A must have addition to any medieval village...introducing the Medieval Bakery! Finally the hard working blacksmith neighbor has a place to treat himself! Featuring a detailed exterior with a balcony, flower and vegetable garden, shed, and modest stall for the family's sheep! Inside you'll find a cozy bedroom, spacious living space, and an oven popping out the tastiest baked goods! Inspired by the design of 21325, this set integrates perfectly into the medieval setting. Dark green tiled roof, with rich gold finishes prove that this family knows how to bake! 4. The new horse is back in stock :)
  5. Hey everyone, I was browsing images of the various new sets (Lone Rangers, StarWars, etc.) and even last years sets and thought... Is it just me or has Lego stepped up their game? Now, not all the sets are home runs, but it many of the minifigures are amazing. Some sets look more like mocs that builders on here made, and by that I don't mean they just look great but they use a lot of smaller pieces not just panels for walls. The mine from lone ranger and the big set from galaxy squad in particular. The new starwars minfigures all look awesome. Some sets look great for older children and adults, but I can imagine being a kid absolutely loving the Chima and Castle series. Anyway, just my 2c. I've yet to buy any of the newer sets, so I can't vouch for quality, but they do look really good. What do you guys think, has Lego stepped up their game to be more competitive? Or is the progression of new technology allowed for them to build better "toys"?
  6. I rarely post here, although I frequent the site a fair bit. One thing I'd hope TLG would change is how they do their torsos for licensed sets. I personally am not a big fan of fleshies, but I get why TLG does it and there's apparently a lot of people who do like them. However, I get kind of annoyed when the torsos of licensed figs look awesome but have the tiniest bit of neck/chest in flesh color showing. This makes these torsos unusable. As an example, a lot of the new LOTR, POTC would work really well for themes such as castle, pirates, and western, but it's difficult to mix in because of the small patch of flesh color on the torso. Hopefully, TLG can find a way to make torsos usable on all figs, regardless of color :)
  7. Not as great of a find as some, but still pretty happy about it. Got brand new in box and all: attack on weathertop, mines of moria, and helm's deep for $200. In store that would've cost me around $360 with tax, almost a 50% discount :D
  8. Hey, I asked a month or so ago which modular would be best for future western mocs, well I've done some more thinking and am interested what you guys think. So... First I was considering the Pet Shop because the browns and blues can be used to make some nice western facades, but I figured I could get bricks like that at my local PAB. Next, I considered the Grand Emporium, primarily for the dark green windows which I could use for a saloon. Problem is, I don't I'd be able to take it apart after I build it, considering I still have my MMV fully intact after a year. A new set I've started to consider is Diagon Alley... lots of colors, lots of windows, some figs have western torsos. Thoughts? Thanks!
  9. Hey guys, I'm new to LDD and was wondering if anyone can give me some help. I'm becoming frustrated with the view function in the program. Is there a way to shift/slide the view? I have the angle/rotation set up correctly but would like to move to the side. Hopefully it makes sense what I'm asking. Thanks! **EDIT: Figured out you can right click a brick to set it as pivot point. Please delete this then, sorry!
  10. I was able to find a MISB 673 for a good price. :) I don't have enough posts to create a topic for it, but if anyone's interested in it let me know!
  11. Missed out on this a couple years ago at a garage sale. Great castle!
  12. Hey everyone, I'm looking at getting a modular (either Grand emporium or Pet shop). I'll probably build it and have it up for a bit, but I'm wondering which one do you think would work better for future western mocs. I like the windows and colors that the GE provides, but think the Pet shop may be the way to go because of the brown and light blue, doors, windows, etc. What do you guys think? Thanks!
  13. Definitely might be my first modular. A member posted this picture on bricklink:
  14. Hey guys, I've been working on some designs for a western town. Ideally I'd like to print these out on clear sticker paper and use them. Does anybody know the dimensions of LEGO windows? What do you guys think? *If this is in the wrong forum please feel free to move it. Thanks!
  15. Am I the only one who can't see the pictures? Anybody have another link to these?
  16. Didn't want to start a whole new thread about this, thought I'd ask here... What paper do you sticker paper to you guys recommend and is there a place to find the stickers online with the right size? Basically I'm rebuilding my sheriff's lockup but I lost the SHERIFF sticker a long time ago :( What would be the best way to remake it? Cheers
  17. Yes, but after selecting to continue to contact them I get this message... We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.
  18. Thanks for the input guys. I've tried contacting the seller, but they don't allow messages :( I was thinking I either bid on it, ship it to a US address and then have them ship it to me. I also tried contact webuyitforyou.com but no response yet.
  19. Hey guys, not sure if this type of thing has been done before, or if it's prohibited but I thought I'd ask. Basically I've found something on ebay that I'd like to buy, problem is the seller only ships to the states. If you think you'd be able to help please PM about details. Again, if this type of request is not allowed please feel free to delete this thread. Thanks!
  20. Very cool thread, thanks for doing this! One thing I found works great is the Magic Eraser ( http://media.mrclean.com/en_CA/products/images/mrClean_prod01_img_01.jpg ) Obviously you can't use it for every brick, but for very noticeable bricks or larger pieces it works great. I used it on the horses and wall pieces I have and they look almost brand new!
  21. Just wanted to add to the list and thank you for doing this! Very inspirational!
  22. Can't send a PM yet :( I'd be interested in some of those things... if you would like email me at jersmits @ gmail. com
  23. Complete Battle of Alamut for $35. Layed out all the pieces and compared it to the Kings' carriage which was $50 and I have to say the $35 was a steal :)
  24. Not sure if there's a way to prevent bricks from cracking other than to keep them in safe spots and avoid extreme temperature changes I guess. There's plenty of uses for broken bricks if you're making MOCS, for example, I have tons of green pieces that have broken off those grass / bush pieces and I use them as grass shavings.
  25. I don't know for sure, but it does makes sense that perhaps they had a box of those bricks waiting to be used. Also, I've noticed that Lego sometimes builds sets knowing that people will tear them down and use the pieces to build other things, that's why they include a variety of pieces.
