  1. That was my thought and why I figured it'd have to be a custom piece
  2. Just noticed there isn't a White Star Line flag on the aft mast. Yet another modification I'll be making. I'm thinking a custom decal on a 2335 piece?
  3. Seems so far that history buffs' issues are The bridge wings (I'm not sure how else you could to those at that scale though) The portholes along the black part of the hull (TLG probably figured it's the most piece-efficient way to do them, I'm sure they can be modified) The rigging on the funnels are too high (Pretty sure those can be modified) I'm personally not bothered by these but I can understand that some people hold TLG to a pretty high standard (not saying they shouldn't). I'm curious how the stern is gonna turn out, since that section is such a weird shape.
  4. Wonder how it would look with some tan 85941s
  5. They're supposed to be a more pale-r yellow. Of course, I'm just being incredibly picky! Pay no mind to me! >.> (Note, above photo is Olympic, not Titanic, but they're practically the same ship)
  6. To paint or not to paint those bright yellow funnels... I don't like the idea of painting Lego but... but...
  7. Wonder what's with the piece-count discrepancy. Then again, I'm not too sure how leaks work, behind the scenes.
  8. I don't know how likely it would be buy how cool would it be to be able to, say, lift one or both of the dome covers and see the Grand Staircases, or take a side of the hull off and see various rooms. Lower-able lifeboats and/or anchors could be cool. Lets see, where else could pieces go 🤔 Seeing the engines would be cool- oh! Make them motorized! If there's a lighting system, maybe there are 1x1 round transparent pieces behind all the portholes to diffuse the light?
  9. I'd be very disappointed if it was flat-bottomed and would be upset that Id have to buy more pieces to make the bottom myself. I feel like the hull is gonna leave us with a lot of similar pieces. My bet is it'll be on a stand (though I will likely eventually make my own Southampton Dock. As someone who has been, for the past 3 years, studying the exterior and 3D modeling it, I'm pretty sure I'll end up making a couple modifications to it. 😂
  10. Can someone else tell me they're also googling "Lego Titanic" almost every day to see if any images have been leaked so that I don't feel like I'm completely crazy?
  11. Lego just teased a new stadium set. Likely the one VanIslandLego mentioned which is a good sign for the Titanic set :D https://twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/1432327432418254856?s=19
  12. I feel like this one would be pretty much perfect https://rebrickable.com/colors/18/light-yellow/
  13. Curious what color they'd go with for the funnels. I know the most common color used is the common yellow but, when I see MOC Titanics, the Lego Yellow just looks too bright to me. https://www.brickfanatics.com/wp-content/uploads/Titanic-featured-800x445.jpeg https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/81/Titanic_in_color.png/800px-Titanic_in_color.png
  14. When would they likely announce it? I'm feeling impatient 😂😭 Even if the Nomadic didn't come with it I'd likely make one myself.
  15. Wouldn't it be better to have it at the Southampton Dock so that we get a finished Titanic? I feel like this would still make it a celebration of the ship itself, as opposed to it being about the tragedy. Another idea could be that we'd get a little Nomadic to go with it. Would also be cool if they included some Minifigures of a few notable people.
