3D model of my MOCs
zumaidi replied to zumaidi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks. - I see. 1 topic for one MOC. Noted. Thanks. - My initial idea was to share about the Sketchfab 3D features, but I guess everyone already knew it. Anyway, I will check 3D model features on Bricklink. Thanks. - Wow! That bad? All the 4 MOCs have that problem? I need to relook into them then. Thanks for the info. Regards. -
3D model of my MOCs
zumaidi replied to zumaidi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes. Thanks I have combined 4 3D models into 1 post. There was a post previously but with only 1 3D model. I could not find the way to delete it. -

Bus door mechanism - Do nothing machine - https://youtube.com/shorts/xERvI7uSTS0 Wiper mechanism - A simple machine - Please support my LEGO Ideas project - -link removed- The Flight Simulator. You may need to open LEGO account. But it is free and you can unsubscribe their emails. Thanks.

Yeah, but I know several people that considered this part - the Caterpillar rubber as useless and planning to discard it or already did it. This is based on feedback from my MOC on Rebrickable. One of the reasons, the rubber part become too stiff/hard compared to the new non rubber track tread. And other reason is that the length is fixed. Also when used, it tends to 'jerk' not smooth for every one cycle. Comparing between rubber and non rubber. Rubber - https://youtu.be/ehSa5qMM9CI Non rubber - https://youtu.be/nLizLhJ7S6k

zumaidi replied to zumaidi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, may be I can come up with full set - left and right. -
wow! impressive. Well-done. I hope it can be played on my Flight Simulator - https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-80141/zumaidi/flight-simulator/#details

Thank you. I don't think I have enough and required parts to make changeover catch. I will study on it more. So far, based on more than 3 hours playing with it, it worked fine and no disengage. I believe this is because the force is not hard because the motor just need to rotate the actuator. Thank you. I made a new topic because I believe the same kind of switches can be applied on any other builds, not necessarily specific for my Flight Simulator.

Demo of a simple machine

My Peugeot 408 wiper works like that (if I understood your message correctly). May be I can get a video later. Thanks. -
The switches to change from motorized to manual control on my Flight Simulator. I added this feature so that ones can still play when run out of batteries. In addition, sometimes ones need the motors for other MOCs. :-) I have submitted this MOC to LEGO Ideas - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/d3c9edc7-1a3c-4ea3-8b5d-4dbe1fc0faa6 Hopefully I can get your support. Thank you very much.

I see. You mean this part ? - Technic, Liftarm, Modified Perpendicular Holes Thick 1 x 15 Noted. Let me review my design and try to come up with an alternative. The part costs about USD2 Thanks. Thanks Sariel for your thoughts. I am honored to have you responded to my post. BTW, I did watch your improvement video on 42124. It is great. The name of my MOC was taken from the original name of the 42124 set. :-) Yes 4x4 is more off-roady but with big wheels and front/rear suspension, IMHO the 42124 set can be a good alternative. Thanks. I like the word 'adapting'. You are again right on this. But as @Rebel_Lego mentioned, it can be helpful to 42124 owners who do not know how to do it. Anyway, for non 42124 owners, I am afraid they will need to get an alternative for the rare parts.

My LEGO MOC - The Flight Simulator is on LEGO Ideas. https://ideas.lego.com/s/p:d3c9edc71a3c4ea38b5d4dbe1fc0faa6 Flight Simulator If this MOC received 10, 000 likes, LEGO might produce it as their official product. More importantly is I want this MOC to be an educational tool for kids and might be an entertaining set for adults. This Flight Simulator can do pitch and roll, but not yaw. I developed a mechanism to switch between auto mode (use motor thru remote) or manual mode (by hand). To make it more interesting, I added pitch and roll indicators. Thank you for your support.

Yes, you are right. As explained in the description - 'A clean car chassis based on 42124 Off Road Buggy'. I have removed some unnecessary parts and exchanged some parts position. It is intended for those who don't have 42124 set. Thanks for your feedback.

https://rebrickable.com/.../zumaidi/flight-simulator/... This flight simulator is suitable for small LEGO planes or other small plane models/toys. It has pitch and roll functions but now yaw. It can be controlled either remotely or manually. It comes with pitch and roll indicators. I believe this Flight Simulator is very good for educational or for having fun with your Lego plane sets collection. Thank you for your support. The Flight Simulator
