Oh cool, I thought it was weird that there wasn't one but I didn't there actually was one. I'll just cross post it there.

Picked up the Ocarina of Time Final Battle set, all around very happy with it. Minifigures are great, Ganon is fantastic, and even the scenery looks pretty good (which is impressive considering how barren that arena is in-game). I was thinking about building Ganondorf a sword based on the OoT concept art that went on to be used in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, so if anyone has any suggestions on how to make one I'd be interested to hear them! I suppose I could always just give him an Uruk-hai sword but that seems a little smaller than ideal.

Wow that's a pretty disappointing way to end the anniversary sets haha (unless there's another coming that I'm not aware of). In fairness, it definitely doesn't look like a bad build, but I'm not super interested in the oversized vehicles personally and even at that size I think the price is comically bad. What is this, Star Wars??? And the minifigure selection is also shockingly paltry, the new elemental master is nice but then you get a repeat Kai and a nindroid. I'm pretty sure it's technically a new version of the nindroid (unless I'm forgetting some other recent set that comes with one) but I don't really get who this is for. If you've been into Ninjago for years then you probably have a million of them already since they've been brought back so many times, and if you don't have any then one generic nindroid is just going to be kinda pathetic on its own. Like even if they just threw in another repeat Ninja and another Nindroid (maybe Cryptor if they could afford a unique torso print), that would go such a long way in making the set feel like a better value. $90 for an overpriced car and only three minifigures, two of which are not exciting in the least, just feels bad. Ultimately I don't care that much (idk why I even wrote so much about this set lmao) since this isn't the kind of thing I would buy regardless, but I will say that I am not a fan of this price. I know there have still been a lot of decently affordable sets in recent years but I feel like some of the options this year are testing the boundaries in a bad way.- 759 replies

Yeah I think it's just to make him sound cool and relatively unique, it helps set him apart from your more standard "Lloyd" or "Green Ninja."- 759 replies

Pretty sure that's his symbol on the back, so I'd assume so (although who knows, maybe the reason it's partly covered by the cloth print is to leave it up in the air). I guess we'll probably get explicit confirmation once we see the head.- 759 replies

I feel like Portal is enough of a classic that it could happen, but I do agree it seems a little more likely to be something more relevant.

Looks like I missed it, still have only seen a super low res pic so far. I like what I've heard though, definitely interested (assuming I end up having that much money to drop on a Lego this year, which is a very big assumption haha). I think ideally we'd just get another set to bulk up the roster, but yeah, if this is all that we're getting (which seems likely going by precedent), then I do wish it would have included a few more minifigures.

Wow that looks great. Ganondorf looks a bit weird without a nose, but it'd also be weird if he had one and no one else did, so I can live with it. Aside from that I have no big complaints, it could be a little cheaper but it still doesn't seem too unreasonable for what you get (at least relative to other licensed themes).

Do we have any solid information on when the next wave is coming out, or is it just "some time later this year (probably summer)"? -

I always liked the fresh start of a new thread each year, but I wouldn't say I have particularly strong feelings on the matter, so I'm not going to be heartbroken if we just keep using this one.- 759 replies

LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
Meaf replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
Seeing the sets pretty much just solidified how I felt when we first got descriptions (namely that the starters should have been separate sets), although Pikachu also looks kinda bad imo. Also also the bases for Pikachu and the starters feel a bit like they're mostly just there to jack up the price, although I won't deny that they look nice. I dunno, I love Pokemon and I'm glad they're doing a Lego line, but none of these sets interest me at all. Hopefully the rest of the year's sets are a little more exciting. -

My guess is that it's because of his only set also includes a big fig, which tend to be fairly desirable? But even that doesn't fully explain it, cause Killow is $120 and the one from Skybound that I forgot the name of is around $20 last I checked. None of the other Sons of Garmadon minifigures are too expensive either afaik, so maybe that set just had a really limited production for whatever reason.- 759 replies

I wouldn't think so either, I just find it suspect that we've had probably in the ballpark of ten villain dragons over the years (I don't have time to check RN but I can think of like five off the top of my head) versus just the two big snakes. Dragons might just be more interesting for kids since they have more points of articulation, I guess? Idk- 759 replies

This is a great idea, a larger take in particular could be really cool. I'm guessing the giant snakes don't sell particularly well though considering they've only ever done that what, twice? You'd think they'd come up more often with how many waves of snake villains we've had. But anyway yeah I'm hoping it's this.- 759 replies

Finished building the Ninjago City Workshops yesterday, anyone have any suggestions on how to fit all the City sets together? Currently trying to figure out a nice layout that includes all five (not that I have room to keep them connected but I'd like to get some pictures at least).- 759 replies
