  1. "No harm trying it for a round or two. What's the worst that can happen?" Oh, please don't let us get fragiled and then KO'ed by a couple of lowly mobs Thormanil attacks Zombie Peasant A from the front row.
  2. Thormanil will repeat his attack
  3. Thormanil attacks Battle Ant A from the front row.
  4. Sure thing. They do only apply to melee attacks though, for what it's worth. Thormanil lends Benji the Fighter's Boots.
  5. Thormanil chuckles, "I think I pulled a solid 500 gold outta those bonies, I don't mind lettin' you all take some extra trinkets here."
  6. Skull Shield (SP:6; immunity to dark-elemental damage; suitable to Black Knights only.) Pointy Hat (Max. Ether +2, suitable for mages and clerics.) The hats were even described in the same post, ya lazy hack!
  7. Eh, fair point, case of the description-at-release not matching intended purpose.
  8. And Docken just looks plain silly in that big brown hat, no one is actually scared of him. The little mobs are just too busy laughing to attack him. The quiver states "all attacks", so the mage should have lost that 2 health, after all. Two whole damage...
  9. "Watch out guys, that mage somehow got enough health to rival the gods!" OoC: Health: 136579 Thormanil repeats his attack.
  10. Thormanil attacks Spectre A from the back row.
  11. Perhaps the creation of more powerful bombs (beyond, say, 10 or 15 damage ones) could be tied into the Cannoneer's "Craft Bomb" roll, with the strength of the created bombs scaling with the Cannoneer's level at intervals of 5 or 10. It'd be a way to bring the stronger bombs into the game in a limited fashion, without restricting sales to certain times of the year, certain shops on certain quests, etc. It could even be a nice moneymaker for the Cannoneer: After a battle, pass their strong bombs off to a party member to prevent them being randomly consumed on Shield rolls, then sell any excess strong bombs off at the end of the quest and use that gold to stock up on a bunch of basic bombs to use for their attacks.
  12. Yet again, Thormy repeats his attack.
  13. Thormanil repeats his attack .
  14. "Way to be, Benji!" Thormanil repeats his attack.
  15. Thormanil attacks Skeleton Mage A from the back row.
  16. "Bah, I could be dealing lightning damage, plus the chance for even more gold..!" Thormanil, against his wallet's desires, decides to do nothing from the back row.
  17. "Bah, can't get lucky twice in a row, I suppose. Try, try again!" Thormanil repeats his attack, lamenting the loss of a potential 39 gold.
  18. Thormanil grins as his pockets grow heavier, then prepares to attack Skeleton Mage A from the back row with his Frozen Saber.
  19. Completely absentminded, sorry. Want me to try and put some lightning damage on Skele Mage A, try to stun a different mob, give everyone enormous gifts of gold? I'm off to board for the day, Benji's got control of my target & weapon choice.
  20. Well, I guess you can count yourself among the "rare sights" I'm not trying to say that the hat isn't useful. To the contrary, you've made it quite an integral part of your build, so that you don't have to use up a gem/buy a duplicate gem just to get an elemental weapon. But that is a pretty exclusive case, as you've been able to plan around having the hat. For most other heroes, they will have that elemental weapon, and the effect is lost to a degree. That said, the hat still fills an absolutely incredible niche for anyone trying to counterstrike the undead. The hat is definitely not without its uses, it just doesn't have the same global prominence it did when it was first looted thanks to the relative abundance of elemental weapons, especially at later levels.
  21. Eh, it's a very useful artifact for lower level heroes, namely those who haven't yet acquired an elemental weapon (either by loot or imbuing). Undead can't be harmed by non-elemental attacks. That means that literally any gem you imbue into your weapon will allow you to at least deal damage to them (even if it's reduced by elemental resistance due to "Undead/X" where "X" is the type strong to your gem choice). Early on in the game, before Elphaba came to town, there weren't too many gems popping up, just a few opportunities from quest rewards (both gems and elemental weapons). Now, it's a pretty rare sight to see an advanced class hero without even a single element at their disposal, so the effect is somewhat lost on older heroes.
  22. I really don't think we'll have that much of an issue. There's three of us who can damage the undead right now (four, if you and either Doc or posades take a turn to switch one of their weapons for your Pongcanis Crossbow). I'm using the Frozen Saber right now for its utility (I'd love to see a few shield rolls, heh), but could easily switch to my lightning weapon and start dealing some damage instead.
  23. Thormanil repeats his action, crossing his fingers for some ravages before these juicy enemies were dropped.
  24. Thormanil repeats his action.
  25. For what it's worth, anyone with an elemental weapon should be able to damage the undead mobs. Also, my bright armor will finally see some action! "What's wrong Benji? Couple bags of bones gotcha scared?" Thormanil attacks Skeleton Mage A from the back row with his Frozen Saber.
