LEGO seems to always do this, the most hyped sets get revealed last it seems...of course, there is some personal opinion baked in there.

I would love to see a new one too. I am pretty sure that is just a recolor of the Slave One model from 75222 (Betrayal at Cloud City).

This is a heavy hand of speculation on my part (just me being silly, I have no concrete rumor, information or otherwise to back this up) - I watched BrickWiz's video that MAYBE the new 530 USD set coming in the fall could be a new Death Star (ideally DSII). I thought with the early retirement (short lifespan) of the final duel set and again retirement of the 2nd edition playset death star, and now the globe *putting my tinfoil hat on* maybe?

Still opportunities for the Summer/Fall wave! That seems to be where TLG take more "risk" on sets compared to the relatively safe "OT".

Fair. I think the methods are adequate. I'll build it for myself but not planning to take it apart once I do - so it should be a non-issue for me. I am sure not everyone will be happy with it, but that's how it goes sometimes...

Congrats! Sorry on the points, but I am sure LEGO will get your sorted. They typically don't miss on Customer Service (CS) items.

Could be that people avoided the in-person shopping due to the Holiday and Black Friday. Easier to do online. Though LEGO has been making an effort to prioritize brick and mortar store stock vs, online. Neat to speculate.

Not really following the usual pricing structure this year, are they? The usual cycle of intrigue, excitement, and disappointment
