  1. Promobricks has had a recent run of solid descriptions of sets recently a few weeks before getting the pictures. Like you said, this will be nice to get to give us something to salivate over before the pictures come rolling in.
  2. I’d rather have the minifigures. I can buy more pieces, but I need Lego to introduce more minifig prints to expand the characters.
  3. I doubted this one too for similar reasons, but others have shown up in the UK so it seems to be legit. I like mine to match as well, could always just cover it up with a physical cape if needed….though that would still bother me knowing it was under there. They’ll probably be a separate unit for the BF army for me.
  4. Well I’m pleased to be wrong on this one. Looks like some others have shown up around the UK. This is just awesome. Classic helmets were there as well.
  5. Those peasant torsos may also be real then. Fingers crossed!
  6. You’re not kidding. If this is the kind of stuff they’ll put out (new torso prints, etc) then I’m fine with Castle/Vikings living in this area without a full theme. Looks like it’s actually THREE new torsos in this set. I don’t know, that printing, especially on the back, looks a bit 3rd party to me. The person who posted it seems to dabble in custom stuff. Also, I’d prefer to see that picture inside the store with other torsos rather than displayed on its own at home. I’m not buying this one but am more than happy to eat crow if it turns out to be true.
  7. I’m shocked that we’re getting any new torsos in the Viking set….but THREE?! Wow. No doubt we’ll be seeing some/all of them show up in the 90th anniversary set. Really makes you wonder why they couldn’t include a real civilian minifig in the medieval castle 3 in 1 set though. We’re going to crash the PAB servers after these things become available.
  8. Agreed on the competition. However, put me down for more minifigs. I’ll take the animals in city/other sets, but this is where we get the mini figures (new torso/leg prints, colors of weapons, armor, headwear, etc). That’s what I’m looking for. I want the money poured into that before even the size of the castle….I end up tweaking/using the parts anyhow.
  9. I’m confident those Peach’s Castle pieces will be showing up in the 90th anniversary set. Might even stick with the same color if it’s the Lion Castle as rumored. No worries from me on the 3 in 1 thing, this will be a Creator Expert set. I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll see a bunch of new medieval figs which will make the online Pick a Brick site crash when those elements become available. Long time Castle fans are hungry for that stuff.
  10. Not only that headdress, but did anyone else notice the civilian torsos in that same picture that we’ve never seen before as well as a medium nougat cow? Those are far more interesting than the structures to me.
  11. Lego has definitely been laying out the love for Castle during the past year. This bad boy should be the icing on the cake. We’re you able to grab a Castle in the Forest as well? Stockpile some minifigs from CMF series 23? Load up on those bards!
  12. Well now….that’s interesting isn’t it? I’m leaning towards doubting it as the 90th anniversary set due to the original 6080 just plugged into the front of along with the windmill for the MVR and medieval castle making up portions of the scene. Side note, I’d also be very disappointed if the minifigs are just old lion knights. I don’t think that’s the case, but wanted to point that out.
  13. I agree, medieval female minifigs/accessories have always been in short supply but there haven’t exactly been a ton of male civilian figures either. I’ve always wanted more peasants/civilians. It’s a shame the torsos used in the Mill Village Raid never got used again. I wonder if the headdress used in the new Harry Potter hospital set may be recolored for medieval use. At the $350 price point, I’m hoping/expecting for a 4000 plus piece set with multiple civilian/event (tournamanet/tents?) structures around the outside and to include 20 plus minifigs (king, queen, jester, bard (recolor), other nobles, 2 full armored knights, around 5 castle guards, 3-4 peasants, and other factions (forestmen, etc) to feast together in a large great hall. I expect 2 horses (barding would be great, but I doubt it), and some smaller animals but not expecting a farm spread here. Side note, can we get a dark brown horse? That’d be awesome too.
  14. I like your thinking. The cell mate idea is great. So many opportunities with this.
  15. Through my giddiness after hearing the new of this set I never even thought about the possibility that high sales could drive future version ala Ninjago City. I’ll try to temper my enthusiasm a bit but for a long time Castle fan, this is amazing news. It’ll be the highest priced set I’ve ever purchased and I’ll probably get more than one. Bricks & Pieces is going to get buried when they release this one. After the CMF bard was released with those coins, my confidence in the 90th anniversary set being a feast and celebration of multiple factions grew.I can see this set having 20 plus mini figures with multiple factions in it. If you use the Mos Eisley and Daily Bugle sets as benchmarks, t they have 21 and 25 figures, respectively for $350 and $300. Those are licensed themes as well, and the cantina even has a large animal mold. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lego knocks this out of the park with about 20 minifigs, a few horses, and animals. We’ll probably see a few old friends (factions) return in this set. I can’t help but expect to see a few civilians in it too which would be icing on the cake.
  16. This is a day 1 purchase for me. I hope they have a good mix of civilian medieval folk to enjoy a dinner/tournament.
  17. My initial reaction was joy for new castle then incredible disappointment with it being mini dolls. But you’re right, if those line is half as good as Elves then we’ll be getting some amazing parts. However, the last few lines of Friends sets have been very good with amazing detail. Here’s hoping it has the same level of useful stuff for us castle/medieval/fantasy fans.
  18. Lol…same for me. It’ll probably end up being a Bionicle cup (kidding!). In all seriousness, It is obvious Lego is making some nods to space with the Target collection merchandise, mosaic art set, and awesome city sets (moon base, etc). I’ve been wondering if that means they got the votes OR they didn’t and these have been a sort of consolation prize….or Lego just wants to merchandise Space stuff and I’m overthinking the whole thing (most likely). The poll did split the Castle fandom votes for sure, but if Lego was looking to see what sub groups/minifigs we’d prefer to see in future Castle one off sets, then they got some pretty good data from an analytical perspective. Same goes for Space, and the other themes. It’ll be really interesting to see what theme they end up doing, and what nods to the past they put in it, whether it’s Castle, Space, Pirates, or (cringe) Bionicle.
  19. I don’t think they’d go yellow, unless they start making yellow masonry bricks…I’d think tan could be a modern take on the color scheme. That all said, give me a nice Tudor village feast of the various armies getting along to celebrate 90 years of togetherness and all that good stuff. But really just an army building set for us.
  20. No word on timeframe. I would guess second half of the year. I’m with you, I’d prefer grey castle age or later stuff. They make some new figure prints though and I wouldn’t complain either way.
  21. I’m throwing it out that that the bard and his colors are going to be a nod to the upcoming 90th anniversary set that will indeed be classic castle. Now, my wishful thinking here is that the set will be some sort of gathering with food and fun going on inside the castle/market/structure as a kind of gathering of the generations. That’s my hope anyway…
  22. Having it in reddish brown is a bonus too. I have way to many in red, blue, and yellow….lol.
  23. I’ve noticed the same. They really kicked up in price about 6 months ago. I’ve been scooping them up every time I see a decent deal…which is getting less and less. Lego needs to get more medieval civilians….the new bard is a good start.
  24. A number of these from this series hold some incredible potential. Can’t wait to see the pictures!
  25. Maybe, just maybe, they were already planning on doing Zelda anyway and skipped the similar Ideas sets. We’ll see. haha…I got a dozen sheep as well for the farmland. The 3 in 1 castle is a fantastic parts set at an even better price. I’ve got 5 of them and probably more once my local Costco gets them in stock.
