  1. no it needs to be based off of a licensed figure, both of the examples i listed are licensed ips that lego has made minifigure waves off of, so ninjago, city, friends, monkie kid, the numbered cmf series,(20,21,22 etc). would all be themes that wouldnt count since theyre all ips that lego has conceptualized and not based off of anything in media.
  2. I'm pretty sure it is, clone o Patra even listed dimensions sets as an example, and even if something like the looney tunes cmf didn't count, we did get the brick heads so "technically" the looney tunes license extended past just the cmf. but if you wanted to do the muppets they also count even though it's just the cmf. vvv (section i mentioned)
  3. looking at bricksets review of the brickheads 4 pack, mickey and oswald are really bland, couldve used some dots on mickeys torso or something else, mickey is just a reskin of the original snow white and tink are the best parts, snow whites "shoulderpads" (?), intresting build for tinks bun, and 5/10 set 40 isint worth it, half the charecters can be built with existing parts, shouldve been 30-35 (also drumlaquerd silver 1x4s for the stands are a nice surprise)
  4. at the end of the day, it's not a big deal lego is a billion-dollar company and they can do what they want, hell, marvel probably told them that the "saga" title was only for legacy products, and the armor not being based on a specific one from any movie or the scarlet witch Minifigure that is based on a multiverse sage movie, it is not a large problem, it is not lego refusing to make products with men on them (just an outlandish example mind you) it is them slapping a logo on a key chain, not even a building set. also, there's this thing called keeping people in check, not policing them, or telling them that they're wrong for doing something, just reminding them of what power they hold and what they can do with said power, this is in no way an attack towards you nor Ashton, its just me having an opinion. I'm sorry if you took my comment as me trying to control what other people have to say, next time i will watch what i post more carefully and try to think of what others might have to say
  5. eggybricks makes such good content, i hope they upload more consistently in the future! i loved their video on the ninjago city gardens remoc. aside from that, we should start keeping people in check(ie lego youtubers) for having shitty opinions on miniscule subjects
  6. im saving up all my boxes to tile the floors in my new house, i can see it alredy, fresh out the shower, slapping my bare feet over the 2021 benotar.
  7. my point exactly, its not worth fighting for if at the end of the day the box is either going in the recycling or in a storage unit never to be seen again. us even getting wanda from mom in a keychain, not even an actual building set, is so good for collectors that dont want to pay the price for the set/fig, when has lego ever not just done what they want when it comes to marking comic and original stuff as from the mcu, and vice versa? spider thing in the nwh set, all of endgame, etc, and the obviously based on the movies thanos fig in the mech, its so common and not even that big of a deal, hell i bet if we get the rocket racoon minifig in a keychain form itll be marked as infinity saga when its based off of a comic book cover anyways mini rant over, its not a big deal, appreciate where getting it in the first place
  8. dont ya just love it when lego makes a specialized peice that can be easily reused and only use it one time, and then make innacurate or oversized minifigs that couldve used it
  9. im pretty sure what happend was that someone at marvel saw the infinity saga branding and then told kevin feigie to make another one up for consistency, and then "revealed" it at comic con either last year or this year
  10. add a d2c avengers tower and youve got yourself a fantasy novel
  11. i love his videos but good god are you right, not everything needs to be about packaging or mistakes, reminds me of starwars fans complaining about inacurate packaging instead of the actual model, plus i havent seen one toy company even start using the multiverse saga packaging i remember being furios that the collector only came as a comic con figure, and we didnt even get ego at all he isint even that hard of a charecter to replicate, all you need it a new face and torso, i would love printed legs but, at this point it feels like a myth
  12. it would be so funny if lego re released comic con figs in retail sets, and they might have to, with secret wars giving us symbiote spiderman (in the comics originaly and rumored in the movies
  13. yeah it was the black pink and teal triangular ship that drax and mantis used, it has a cool design, but i think that its to complex to do for 100$ i would kill for that AND a retail collector minifig, im so mad that leggo made one of the minifigures with the biggest potential and made him an ok comic con minifig
  14. that too, i would wrather have a slice of knowwhere for 100 dollars than an undersized ship for 100 dollars, also now that the guardians own knowhere, could the 25 dollar guardian hq be part of it??? (can you tell how thirsty i am for a official knowhere build
  15. i meant 150 usd, lol similar in piece count to the benotar sorry english isint my first language!
  16. Is anyone else worried about the bowie being severely undersized like i don't know how they could make it realistically and make it able to put Minifigures inside for 1108 pieces it would have to AT LEAST be 150 usd in theory
  17. kindof disapointed the dr strange poly bag has the mom one instead of the nwh one as i missed out on that set but never the less and awesome way to get those orange portal pieces
  18. this is an amazing point and one that i wish i would have included! imagine there had been an aisan charecter in the original trilogies, that played a massive roll, and lego was dead set on making a minifigure based on them, what do think lego would have done? would they keep them yellow, or is that to steryotypical and semi racist for the multi billion dollar company? what would they have done? i want you to answer this queshtion, what would you do if a feature commonly known in your brand was actually racist towards a certain group, and you decided to feature a person from said group in your products? would you give in and shift the model? of your brand, or keep it as it is for the sake of consistency ? lego strives to prove that yellow is the base color, but when they realised that its not, they prefered to change the rules instead of sticking with the consistency, why? becuase lego only cares about diversity if they know theyll catch slack for not having it
  19. sorry i meant to say in 2022, typing too fast has its limits!
  20. whats stopping lego from making a un licesnsed skin tone theme, if they actually had the initiative to change theyre mo i think they would
  21. Lego has a problem with diversity to start this I would like to state that I am a Hispanic POC, why does a head that represents me only come in overpriced sets? why does lego only strive to put diversity in expensive sets? why do realistic tan skin-toned heads only come in expensive history? why do I have to buy either a $60 set or a $249.99 to represent myself in lego? why do all of the expensive sets that lego puts out have diversity, except the ones on the cheaper side? the only truly diverse lego set that contains someone close to my skin tone is namor in the black panther sets that came out on October 1st the 3 big lego themes (marvel/harry potter)only contain tan skin tones when it's an unnamed character or their respective license trying their share at diversity (except Starwars because they're doing well) but that's still 1/3 example: harry potter is FULL of non people of color the only named person of color is Kingsly, in one set, every single other set, only has unnamed background characters lego even saw this, and in the $500 ucs Hogwarts express, the only POC are unnamed background characters or course this isn't as much legos fault as it is jk Rowlings or the castings for the harry potter movies, but still, the only person of color that was relevant enough to be included is Kingsly. marvel isn't as bad they have multiple named characters in their sets, namely America Chaves and namor, both tan people of color that are named, and included in relatively cheap sets! of course, namor is close to my skin tone but his cheek bones stand out a lot. in conclusion, lego, make a diversity battle pack, for 20ish dollars and just put every Minifigure piece in the foosball table, in the battle pack, please.
  22. some of the new episodes for crystalized are up on youtube and HOT DAMN are they good.
  23. there is no way in hell we would get spoiler dr strange figures before no way home spoiler figures.
  24. i like your take on customization, though id say that minidolls could become something more desirable if they were more articulated(wrist/kneejoints) one thought ive had in the past is that maybe the lego designers sacraficed articulation, for a more doll like asthetic, and thats why theyre so limited in mobility thats something i forgot to mention in my statment, yes friends was(and still is mainly targeted twards girls) and it was filled with alot of steryotypes surrounding women at its launch, but i think that it has died down ALOT now a days, where theyre leaning to more stem based topics, like space, and not just focusing on steryotypical "new girl in a big world" esqe themes.
