  1. if the sancum is a combonation between iw and dsitmom, what would it be branded under (other than marvel of course), same applies to other sets, like if the $500 d2c is an avengers tower, with minifigs/ scenes from multiple marvel movies, what would it be branded under, maybe an anniversary set, that just one set
  2. un popular opinion:(some)afols are some of the most annoying groups in the lego community. (i know that eurobricks is an afol dominaed forum, but i need to voice my opinion because some afols are really trying me.) I remember the week that friends was revealed, everywhere I looked i saw that everyone was complaining about how this "girly" theme was proof that lego was executing their employees behind the Wendys next to their headquarters, friends received an embarrassing amount of hate, and it still has, even to this day, on here, youtube, Reddit, everywhere I look I see another AFOL complaining about how one set released in 1995, that was a store exclusive, was better than anything that lego had ever, and will ever put out. this is absurd, I know that people are entitled to their own opinion, and i respect everyones opinion but when is it too much. ive been in this community for around 8 ish years, and i see afol after afol complaining about the next inovation on legos pallete, from what ive seen, i think that afols are scared of anything that challenges their poor poor starwars and creator expert, that dont get enough love and that dots ws going to out sell them :(" fully knowing that the day that the mouse canncels lego starwars will never come, oh and the comments about "no one asked for this" or how about " they think this will sell?" instead of seeing the new pieces and their potential, (take for example all of the AMAZING new hair pieces friends has recived, that we would have never gotten if lego would have bought into the afols and canceled friends, its a bit odd, dont you think, so many afols, (mostly men from what ive seen)ganging together to take down a theme, a series of sets, that they arent required to buy, that alot of times have spectacular pieces, just because its "girly" and "pink" witch isint a bad thing might i add, its so odd, and i have no idea why they do it, its like the idea of a girly pink theme challenges their inner manly hood(not being sexist just trying to get my point across, people that dont identify as men can still be weirdly negative about thems too) like having a set with a pink super market makes them fear for what the lego group has come to, fearing that their singular set from 1995, is becoming irrelavent, that their opinion is becoming irrelavent, and thats why they go after girly themes notes: not only girly themes do negative afols go after, theyre just the most popular and covered item.( this also applys to afols/tfols) i am a minor, please keep that in mind if you plan on replying to my comments. i am not trying to come after anyone, i am simply drawing lines and making comments, if you feel as though i am coming after you i am sorry. i am not going after all afols, as a collective, most of you guys are cool, but some are extremly negative and i feel as though it needs to be talked about. (anyways this took a while to write out, and i hope you appreciate it :)
  3. when i was talking about how the sanctum could be layed out i refrenced the brick bank, how that modular had a large main building( the bank) and a smaller building(a laundromat) the laundromat took up around 12x10 studs(around 120 studs) and the bank took up 16x28 and 18x12 area(added together would equal the total space the bank part takes up)i think that this is a VERY sizable chunk that the sanctum could take up, the bank is small enough to add a laundromat, but big enough to give it great detail, and the laundromat is small enough to not clas with the bank, but not big enough to interupt the detail it has. also i think that my icecream/shwarma place is a good idea but it would be odd finding a color that compliments the sanctums muted color scheme, but still stand out on its own. (also the broken stairs would be a great touch)
  4. from what ive seen, the sanctum looks more natural and livelywhen another building is placed onto the same base plate as it,but i also dont think that the sanctum has to take up a full baseplate, brick buzz year did a fantastic set concept (linked below), and in that the sanctum only took up around a half of a baseplate, and it still looked amazing
  5. I have to say, as someone who didn't get the infinity war sanctum, this Minifigure list has me EXTREMELY excited, I've wanted the iron spider suit for a while, but refused to buy it second hand because of the ridiculous price, this also applies to the ebony maul, this set has the perfect Minifigure selection for someone like me, who missed out on the iw sanctum, but still wants the Minifigures. apart from that, the rest of the mini figures are just extra(apart from strange and wong) also, I feel as though the sanctum would look too large if it took up an entire baseplate, I would much prefer it to take up 3/4 of one, (similar to how the brick bank is laid out) and maybe a different store taking up the other 1/4, maybe a shwarma restaurant? or maybe an ice cream place and we could get prints/ stickers of the avenger's icecream that was referenced in infinity war, though I fully expect the finished model not to have this, (as if it did it probably would have already been reported on) but it's still fun to speculate on what could have been.( it would have a similar layout to this moc by dream build bricks,)
  6. so for the first flight of the banshee set, what are we thinking in terms of build possibility? it is a $50 set so the build should be substantial and very sisplayable, but also have some elements of play,. i was thinking either a large-ish rock for the minifigurse to stand on, with foliage on top and a play feature to push ajkes avatar off the cliff with the banshee, but the play function wouldent take up the eentire thing, maybe just half or so, and the banshees would have to be a bit smaller than minifigure scale, so that they fit on the cliff, OR a large flat rock face with tons of greebling so that theirs plenty of space to put the banshees and the figs, it wouldnt have the play feature to launch jakes avatar and the banshee off of the edge, because it would just shove them off of the rock face! OR (an alternative version of this is to have the rock face but it almost be like an upside down L so theirs place to put the figures on top, and stil have the play feature, it would have a small-ish water fall and it would look as if someone took the last idea, split it in half, and then used snot techniques to put it on its side, propping up the other piece.) also in these concepts, the banshees would be brick built. and there would be around 4 mini figs, jake, neytiri, and the other charecters in the scene, I forgot their names lol. i want to see what you guys think the sets could look like! reply with your ideas!
  7. it was kind of obvious (if you really thought about it), but they did get us to talk about it so it worked anyways i feel the immense need to put the reasons i didn't believe the fake leak at first so, here are reason why i didn't believe it at first, the taco caps shield (how would they be able to do that? and in what scale? because if there were a rumor of a caps shield set for $500 i would believe it, but for it to be with other things, it becomes less believable Lokis scepter ( same thing as the shield, in what scale would it be in for it to only be apart of a $500 set nano gauntlet ( I think that this was the least believable next to the taco, for it to fit in a $500 set it would have to be in the same size as the 18+ normal gauntlet, and i dont think that Lego would want a reskin of a very popular set out on the market at the same time as the original the taco ( when i saw this at first on this forum, i audibly laughed, I completely thought that what @Quicksilver838 merely a concept, come to my surprise when i go on insta and see brick clickers post, i was dumbfounded, and then i thought about it and realized that it made no sense. the rest of the "icons" would make complete sense to be released, as $80-150 sets apart from tonys glasses (imagine a world where a poly bag of tonys glasses sold for 50$ retail,) though i dont know how they would do star lords helmet without having him stick out the top, as his helmet is more of a cylinder, that wraps around his head, also huge props to whoever first reported the fake leak, ( i assume it may have been brick clicker but i could be wrong) it was so completely absurd, and out of the ordinary, that it is probably something that Lego would do! and i think that the marvel community had a similar reaction to the hp community when their icons set was first leaked
  8. this would have to be way more than $500, guessing that the shield and the scepter are 1:1 scale, good concept though!
  9. from what ive seen most "collector" kids are around the age of 9-11.
  10. im a teen fan of Lego and ive been collecting since ive been around 7, Lego is 100% correct, i was a kid collector, i wanted to get all of the ninja suits (im also a ninjago fan) and the original 6 avengers when those sets came out, and i still do this, subconsciously though, when the horrible spider man monster truck came out i immediately wanted to get it, why? because it had figures that i wanted, when i eventually got it, i realized that i was only missing miles from the big 3 (per say) so i went out and bought his mech, just so i could complete the set, yes i may have spent $50 in sets just for the mini-figs, but the collector in me was extremely satisfied with what i had bought, Lego has been in this business for a while, they know their market, but what they dont know is how smart kids are, im going to use ashtons example, if i already have 2 iron mans, and i see a set that i want, that has an iron man, it might deter me from buying it, because its a wasted mini-fig spot, do i want to buy another set that has more of something i already have? or do i want to buy a different set or product that has newer and different things, Lego needs to find a balance, in marvel, the over saturation of mechs and iron mans is annoying as hell, yes iron man is extremely popular, but you dont need to include him in sets that he has no part in, and mechs, MECHS, all of the 10 dollar mechs look the same, its just a pallet swap and boom, 3 more, i think that Lego needs to slow down the amount of mechs they're putting out , as fast as they are last year ALONE we got 8, mechs its absurd how many we got, and more than half, are the smaller ones, Lego please find a nice balance, it could make or break marvel. also some statistics for mechs:
  11. OK so in conclusion, we WIll be getting avatar 1/2 sets in the second half of 2022 or later, and what was rumored to be a wave of avatar sets in April is now an in-house new theme, this kind-of lines up but what doesnt make sense is the piece leaks, why are we getting piece leaks in February (that's when they were posted)for a product coming out in august (ish), i think that the original rumor with one wave in April and another in august made a lot more sense, conceptually, the leaks lined up, usually pieces leak 3 months before the product comes out, the piece leaking in February lined up with the april wave, but now the April wave is a new theme and were getting sets in august? it just doesnt make sense, the time from when the pieces leaked to when the product is coming out, ALSO the rumor of the theme came up in mid December(?), why would a theme that would be in the very early stages of development, set for august leak in December? it doesnt line up. also wasn't mr.no, the first one to leak the theme, and he was later proved false. anyways ignore this if you want im just happy that were getting sets, and if i got anything wrong or missed something, feel free to tell me
  12. well did the magneto and wolverine mighty micros sell well??? because if not that might be the reason why we haven't got any x men sets in a bit, and why they're just now testing the waters again. ( also thank you for bringing the mighty micros to my attention) the common denominator between all of the small x men sets is wolverine ( of course he's probably the most popular x men) but lego keeps putting out $10 wolverine stuff because they want to see when the right time is to release new x men sets, hell they probably already have the sets designed, they're just waiting for the right time to release them.
  13. the wolverine mech is problably there to test the waters, to see if the x men is something that people/children want.
  14. I think that before lego would make new x men comic sets normal in the lego community, then they would have to be introduced beforehand in the MCU, and if we got sets for that( that have x men) THEN lego would make comic x men sets, that way they can see If the MCU sets, that are sure to sell, have a big enough market in order for them to get comic sets. of course, lego knows that most people want new x men sets, but because the previous sets sold so poorly they need to see sufficient sales in the younger market AND were starting to see lego having an interest in having lego x men comic sets, with the wolverine mech, he's a recognizable character in a cheap set, that kids might pick up if they so choose (of course, this is all speculations and I don't actually have someone on the inside telling me that what i said is correct, this is all speculation from what I've seen lego do and what I would do)
  15. the Deadpool helicopter thing, I think.
  16. that and if avatar gets a d2c (or if it even comes out in the first place)
  17. imagine a buildable caps shield, it would It be boring and repetitive but it would look amazing next to the gauntlet and thors hammer
  18. i think he meant the Bionicle reboot failed, not the original run
  19. if they were to be 4 separate sets for each theme then the price would be pretty low, like 30-50 each, at least low for an anniversary set(s) instead of 4 separate sets id prefer a series of dioramas that can be connected with a Minifigure corresponding with the set, similar to the 60th-anniversary GWP also, this thread is getting quite offhand, someone should make a forum based around the anniversary, if there isn't one already
  20. something that just 2 good pointed out a while ago was how at the beginning of 2021 the minifigs from the friends ideas set got keychains, and they later got a non ideas set, something similar could happen with sesame street, where at the end of last year they got keychains, so this could be a clue towards them getting a new set, but remember this is pure speculation and those 2 mentioned are in the ideas line, though some of the one-off 18/16+ sets feel the same as ideas sets, at least the licensed ones. (yeah, what I said was kind of unrelated and off-hand but I think it might still be useful info)
  21. Ooo thats a better idea, though @Takanuinuva jjdd had a better idea with harumi being lloyds
  22. the first wave being based off the first movie and the 2nd off of the second movie makes a lot of sense, and the wave of the second movie can be canceled at any time between the 6 months in case the theme under preforms, anyways, as much as I like big pieces I hope that either they use big molded pieces for the head or just not at all, I love the feel of lego, where you can instantly tell something is made by them, if you removed the studs off of the pterodactyl from Jurrasic park and asked me who made it I would tell you Mattel or Hasbro, but not lego, the big pieces used for animals don't give that bricky feel, but that's entirely how I feel and I'll still be happy even if they're full molds also, this is my 100th post
  23. as excited as I am for these sets, them not having any sets under 40$ is a big mistake, this theme has the same problem as monkey kid, all big sets but no smaller ones, a theme that's centered towards the western market needs 1 or smaller sets, of course, monkey kid is centered towards the east so that's where they differ, experimental themes such as this one need a small introductory set in order to be successful I don't, I think I have a prediction, the 2 bigger sets might be 18+ but not d2cs (with a similar retail availability to vaders meditation chamber, also I really do hope that the entire wave is modular or connectable, one of pandoras best parts is how much flora and fauna there is, with them being connectable you can semi recreate that, also lego, I know your reading this, don't give us another oversized mech, I want settings, not vehicles.
  24. does the buildable baby Groot confirmed to have a collectors plate?
  25. that would be badass asf, but i have a new theory, what if the villains do have the golden weapons, but they correspond with the main ninja from that season this is supported by the skull sorcery(maybe) having the scyth of quakes, skull sorcerer with the scyth of quakes ( he was the villain in a cole centric season asphera with the sword of fire ( she was the villain in a kai centric season, though this is debatable, though boxart says otherwise) unagami with the nunchucks of lightning (he was the villain in a jay centric season) the ice emperor with the ice shurikens, (though that would either mean that they would have to either not have zane as part of the main group for a bit, or deal with the multiverse where a variant of zane that the ice emperor comes into the picture. as for prince calamari and chief mammatus, I don't know, of course, nya and Lloyd didn't have any golden weapons so they may have something else or just not appear at all remember this is all speculation.
