  1. @Legoman123 it would be so epic to get "The Hogwarts Common Rooms" as one of the major sets. Not sure if LEGO would make it, but I'd actually see that selling incredibly well
  2. This is so fun though! Maybe others can confirm, but this wave seems way more expensive than usual. Usually we get a $29.99 set and at least one $39.99 set, no?
  3. My ideal-in-a-perfect-world-that-will-never-happen wish list! 76400 for $ 19.99 - Umbridge's Office 76401 for $ 49.99 - Second Task 76402 for $ 79.99 - Grimmauld Place 76403 for $ 99.99 - Bell Towers 76404 for $ 44.99 - Sirius Black's Escape 76405 for $ 469.99 - So many great options for a D2C. Ministry of Magic, Diagon Alley expansion with Gringotts and Leaky Cauldron, Motorized Hogwarts Express with station, massive Hogwarts playset, or a massive Quidditch pitch would all be wonderful. Hopeful its not buildable objects again. 76406 for $ 49.99 - Final challenge remake. Or a proper common room 76407 for $ 89.99 - Malfoy Manor or the Wedding 76408 for $ 119.99 - Ron and Dumbledore Buildable Figures Gringotts is #1 on my wish list, but at none of these price points. Could be the $119 set tho?
  4. It looks like the sides of the Clock Tower can bend in towards the middle section! If so that would be a really fantastic way to get a more dynamic silhouette out of this super flat modular system. Excited to see the interior, as that has been the definite highlight of the green roof Hogwarts. Pomfrey looks literally perfect, and I'm also super excited for this Ron figure! DADA looks kinda bland and really similar to Transfiguration, but that Divination class looks by far the most unique and fun out of all 6
  5. I will say, those new short legs with grey printing to go with the skirt piece are pretty awesome. Still bummed about the torsos, but with the skirt, legs, chest, owl, map, and that amazing Bertie Bots piece, I appreciate all the new things that the designers are giving us here.
  6. Though I am a bit disappointed in this new color change, I'm thinking based on the description ("your child" this and that) that this change could be a one-off. It's fully being marketed as a children's set, even down to the playfulness of the stickers. Maybe they have a future 4+ set that they plan to use these torsos in as well
  7. I was so excited to make Angelina Johnson and maybe a Pansy Parkinson! But the childishly bright color change for every single uniform makes these torsos basically useless. I really really hope this is not a permanent change The Gryffindor red is definitely brighter also
  8. Has anybody done a complete 180 of opinion on any HP sets, either positive or negative? Harry and Hermione were on major sale so I caved, and I gotta say, I thought they were so dumb and a waste of a spot on reveal, but wow they are so much cooler than I expected! I absolutely love them and really hope they make Ron to complete the trio (my only remaining complaint)
  9. All this negativity! Don't be so down when we've had such a spectacular collection of sets so far in such a short timespan. I trust everyone working with this theme, as its quality is truly a step above every other major licensed theme. Every day I look at these sets and get so happy. A Gringotts will come this year or next- LEGO is definitely aware of the demand for it.
  10. It's also $16 at my local Walmart. Almost bought it today, but I was wondering if it's more worth it to wait for Black Friday?
  11. I highly highly doubt that even the richest of LEGO collectors would buy multiple DAs just for the one unique Ravenclaw Quidditch minifig It's more likely they're saving the other uniforms for a revamped Quidditch set next year or the year after, if at all
  12. I wouldn't be totally surprised if an updated broom mould is introduced in a new Quidditch set. The current LEGO broom is a classic, but it's very outdated and really doesn't resemble a Quidditch broom. A new Quidditch set would have to have a draw for those that have the 2018 set, and I can speak for myself that I would absolutely buy another Quidditch set in this case
  13. I kind of disagree with people's perspective on this. Gringotts will absolutely fly off of shelves, and that is regardless of whether or not DA is side by side it. I think if LEGO put out DA and Gringotts within the same year, there would be current DA owners that would have instead skipped out on DA to buy just Gringotts instead. Now with a few years between the sets, consumers that bought DA can definitely afford Gringotts. As long as DA isn't retired when Gringotts releases, there will definitely be people that skipped out on DA that will ultimately buy both.
  14. Dang, it looks like just a UK thing! Can't be too mad, as you guys are the originator of Harry Potter
  15. That is a very very intriguing photo, that I feel has to imply a new set?? Maybe I'm being too hopeful and naive, but the photo shows a warehouse full of boxed sets. Yes it could be a contest, but this definitely feels like a new set is coming??
  16. In theory I love this idea, but how would the staircase fit in such a tight space while allowing the front door to still open, and allowing ample room for the underground section?
  17. I agree with this completely. My expectations aren't to get everything in one, and I would be more than happy with just the classic facade and main hall interior to connect to Diagon Alley. But if I was to fantasize the ideal set, it would definitely include an Ironbelly and a small side build a la 4714!
  18. The Gringotts set definitely creates a bit of a challenge for designers. Obviously one will want it to line up nicely with Diagon Alley, but you can't have the perfect Gringotts without an underground. I could see it being two sets perhaps? First a general first year set that will pair well with DA, then an Escape from Gringotts interior-only set with tracks and an Ironbelly. Or maybe we can get lucky and get both in one with a nice interior side build! What would everyone prefer? I'm excited for the insane MOC someone will inevitably do by raising all of Diagon Alley and Gringotts and having a complex underground track below!
  19. LEGO does send sets to children in need, and they're one of the best companies in giving benefits to loyal customers. I thought this video was adorable, just as the one the Weasley twin actors did for Diagon Alley. Matthew Lewis looks handsome as ever, and I hope LEGO keeps doing promotional videos like these!
  20. Is that the fence piece turned sideways for the window? If so, I really really love that part usage and variety it will bring to the outside facade Originally I figured I would use the wizard tile piece but it's actually a really beautiful interior- easily better than, say, the Fluffy set. I think this is undoubtably in my top five favorite GWPs
  21. Exactly Seaber! The idea that LEGO can't make sets about the Deathly Hallows has become crazily over exaggerated. The designers never said it isn't going to happen- they simply preferred to go the safe route when planning out the theme, as the adult market for LEGO and Harry Potter were definitely not as clear 4 years ago as they are now. If the theme were to continue, it would be shocking if we didn't see a Deathly Hallows wave within the next two years, even potentially by this summer wave
  22. For anyone debating how to display the Moments sets, I connected them all standing in a complete circle, and placed them on a lazy Susan. It's very pleasing aesthetically (and fun to spin when you want to vary your display!)
  23. Due to the irregular shape of Gringotts, I could see, and really love, an effective baseplate shape that connects to the Diagon Alley set at half base (16 stud?) depth and then comes out to full modular (32 stud?) depth. That would allow for a complete silhouette with DA and existing modulars, and also ample room for a more complex interior
  24. Trying to think of an ideal 12 character CMF 3 now that it's been brought up again, and I'd personally be overjoyed with a list like this. It fills nearly every missing spot imo 1. Harry variant- Wedding with Snitch and Resurrection Stone piece 2. Ron variant- Wedding with Deluminator 3. Hermione variant- Wedding with Tales of Beedle the Bard 4. Hogwarts Student 1- Wedding Luna with Quibbler 5. Hogwarts Student 2- Neville in Deathly Hallows clothes with Sword of Gryffindor 6. Hogwarts Employee 1- Madame Pomfrey with bottle of Skele-gro 7. Hogwarts Employee 2- McGonagall in Deathly Hallows robes with cat Animagus 8. Ministry Employee- Scrimgeour with Dumbledore's will 9. Villain- Narcissa Malfoy with ?? (I want Lucius's staff but I want the Narcissa figure...) 10. Creature- Kreacher with locket 11. Misc character 1- Rita Skeeter with The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore 12. Misc character 2- Xenophilius Lovegood with teapot? A Deathly Hallows necklace piece would be incredible but very unrealistic
  25. I was one of the ones that asked, and thank you for delivering! You are amazing for this!!
