Well I think the first info from Promobricks won’t come earlier than winter next year unless they will suprise us and realease Gringotts as Christmas D2C set which is unlikely for this theme. Yeah it’s absurd. Other complaint I see quite frequently is that the train is not compatibile with track system… like cmon just use 2018 version, this one was clearly made as a display model for adults.

It’s because Marcos pretty much confirmed they are working on it when I asked him who is gonna design it. So now it’s not s question if we get Gringotts but when, and I think it’s 90% next summer.

Poor Marcos is now being bombed by comments of type "you are not listening to fans! these minifigures should have leg prints because that is what fans want!" oh god…. I get the legit criticism like why they didn’t include Ron and Hermione but this is just childish ranting now.

Only if there were other DA building included. If they would make also Borgin and Burkes building they could include Narcissa Malfoy, Draco, Fenrir Greyback, some regular Death Eater etc. If it will be just Gringotts then I think around 8-10 minifigures would be enough for this set. Gringotts alone isn’t enough for standalone large D2C, because it can’t be oversized to fit with Diagon Alley set, so my bet is we will get at least one more building.

Gringotts is on it’s way so at least we can start speculate what essetial characters they will drop for some random no name students/civilians there lol :DDD

Yes this is also true, Harry and Ron we got in PoA Hogwarts Express in 2018 weren’t even accurate to the scene in the first place, so we will definitely get new versions of them.

Yeah but if it has just one new piece I consider it an exclusive minifigure. CMF and Grimmauld Place Kingley are two exclusive minifigures for me, they are very different. I can’t see year 3 trio being reused as last time we saw those outfits was in 2018 so they have to produce new ones. Trolley Witch will also probably be new updated version since last time we had her was in 2018 too. It’s gonna be very expansive to get all these minifigs without buying the whole set. Dementor, Lupin and some of year 1 and 6 will be probably non exclusive (reused) minifigures, but I’m worried about the rest :D

Do we expect all 20 minifigs to be exclusive? The set itself is a hard pass for me, but as a minifigure completionist I will need to get all exclusive minifigures from BrickLink. With Hogwarts castle and Hogwarts Icons sets it was relatively easy as there were only 4 and 3 exclusive minifigures, but here I am kinda worried that buying all these minifigs seperately will cost more than half of the entire set price.

Majority of them yes, that is why I replaced them. The only one that doesn’t exist in dark bluish grey is cone 2x2x3 jagged - step drill piece which I replaced by just regular cone.

Here we again, no Gringotts… Well, I can’t say many people here didn’t predict it, but I still didn’t expect Lego would release a train set for that price. I guess I underestimated how well train sets sell. Now I’m hoping there will be minimum of exclusive minifigures and most of them will be some generic students, because getting like 10+ minifigures from 470€ D2C set from BrickLink will hurt. On the other hand this year is already really expensive with with like 3 sets being in 100€ price range, so at least I’m gonna save some money… again on D2C. I don’t exactly know what you mean, but I already made version with new sets.

Thank you so much. Actually this started as just combining the official sets with no additional bricks. If you look at my old posts on my Instagram you can find versions with just official sets. To your last question, yes the Bell Towers is a MOC by JL Bricks that you can buy on Rebrickable (Instructions) and parts for it on BrickLink. I have built it in real life and it looks amazing. I didn't buy them, I built this MOC only as 3D digital model in stud.io program (planning to make it IRL tho). But you can buy all grey roof pieces for cheap on BrickLink.

Well good luck with remaking Knight Bus and Quidditch sets as with this two there is literally nothing left to improve. I don't think they will ever make full Quidditch pitch as a playset, and I was fine with buying two of 2018 versions. 2018 Hogwarts Express could be made better but not by much, I would only make carriage longer. Hagrid's Hut is the only remake that has a potential to be very different from previous version and I would totally buy it if they make it based on PS/CoS. I think 2023 wave will go full on DH movies.

These characters could be devided into two categories, those who had somewhat impact on the story and we need them and those who are kinda obscure as they had almost no screen time or lines. I think we need Fang, Aunt Marge, Rita Skeeter, Barty Crouch Snr, Igor Karkaroff, Narcissa Malfoy (absolute must have character), Bill Weasley, Rufus Scrimgeour, Xenophilius Lovegood, Aberforth Dumbledore. With everyone else I woulld be happy to get them as minifigures, but they aren't very iconic or memorable to me.

No, it is just 3D model that I made in stud.io, but once I will have all sets and pieces I will build it and post some photos

So I have found a way how to connect two new Hogwarts sets into my big Hogwarts MOC (made of all Hogwarts sets released from 2018). I placed them in the middle of the castle, and they allowed me to fully close it thanks to ability to connect them in 90 degree angle. Lego should probably do another Hogwarts reboot next year or not release another Hogwarts sets at all, because I have reached the maximum capacity of this layout, so any additional Hogwarts sets wouldn't fit in anymore :DDD .... maybe an Owlery Tower would be cool, but that is it

Did someone complain here about minifigures? Excuse me, but we got not one, but two new versions of Sirius in his prisoner outfit when they could simply reuse him from Patronum set from 2019. And then all those new characters and new unique versions you mentioned. Heck we even got another obscure professor with like no screen time (Irma Pince)... in terms of new minifigures this might be the best wave we had so far.

If you mean JL Bricks version you won’t regret it. I bought it this year and it fits perfectly to other 2018-2020 sets. Struggle? Yes kinda, but I still managed to find a way how to stick everything togather... there is no movie accurate or correct way to connect new system anyways.

Okay so I finished the building of two new Hogwarts sets in stud.io. Obviously they are not 100% replicas to official sets, as I completelly ignored interiors. Also I couldn't see some parts of the sets on images so I had to improvise, and some new pieces weren't in the BrickLink database so I had to replace them with something else. Anyways based on how long it took me you can tell these aren't the most complex and detailed builds, but I think I will find decent use for them in my MOC. Oh and I swapped some parts for dark bluish grey....

After building both of new Hogwarts sets for my Hogwarts MOC in stud.io I can confirm that build-wise nothing really changed (expect some renders soon). But the non Hogwarts sets, damn they are some of the best Lego HP sets I have seen.

They literally fulfilled like 70% of our wet fan wishes with this wave so Gringotts has to be the D2C, but even if it isn’t these sets already secured this year to be one of the best for Lego HP theme imo.
