Tahnks, mate! The visible part of the mechanism is mainly taken from TLG set 8071. I just had to simplify the "underwear", because the original gearbox was way too big for my little truck In my version you can operate the lifting mechanism from both sides to make it more playable and faster. Therefore I had to move the knob for rotating the boom to the back while keeping steering at the top of the cab, unlike in set 8071. In case I might want to move the HOG from cab top to the back, i used a flipflop L-beam as shown in the pic below, to have a hole for the according longitudinal axle. But in the end the HOG on top of the cab works really well, even when the boom is folded down, so I kept it there. May I expect your cherry picker in MACK scale too? I really can't wait to see yours!

Thank you very much. In reality the whole front end looks even better than on the pictures, especially in combination with the front bumper. That nose and the cab can easily be a base for a generic American pickup truck.

Lift Bucket Truck https://bricksafe.com/pages/XTN/garage/lightduty/bucket It features: HOG steering openable hood and doors fake engine driven by differential from rear axle rotatable and foldable lift arm fold-out supports openable storage comparments with space of 3x3x2 studs attachable bull bar I was always a big fan of the front end of the 42075 First Responder, so I adopted that part for my light duty tow truck and parts of it for this new bucket truck too. I just closed some gaps, changed the hinge points for the hood and created a new bumper. Now it resembles the look of modern American light duty trucks. The lifting function of the arm is inspired by 8071. The supports can be folded out and are self-locking. The main functions (bucket lifting, arm turning, supports) are marked by yellow elements. And of course it's in "MACK scale". I hope you enjoy.

Totally agree. Also black panels from the rear diffuser. And (whoop whoop) the new A-pillars in white for those who didn't buy the BMW because of... meh. -
I cannot agree with all the positive comments about the shape. Maybe one gets distracted when looking at he side view only, but the car's shoulder is totally messed up. I mean there's a flat line from the front to the back, made of panels, and the Chragers curves are formed by system bricks that are moved inwards by two studs. So it looks like theres a step on the side of the car over the whole length. I am absolutely terrified by this design. In that scale there should be brick-built tail lights. Maybe I will order the black wheel arch pieces when they are on PaB, but that's it.

The whole project is impressive and the result so far is amazing. I really hope you will finish the whole harbour with all components and have the opportunity to show it somewhere to a greater audience. Personally I love that scale, almost all my vehicles share it too, so I'm really hyped about it and the first impression already was jaw-dropping. The truck and the trailer are awesome. A two axle truck and a three axle trailer resembles perfectly what we see on European roads. I am happy you chose that combination. What impresses me most, is that, even if the MACK is long gone now, you still come up with improvements like your fifth wheel mechanism. That mechanism is not really crucial for the project, but it's simple and adds so much playability, that I ask myself: Why hasn't this been invented years ago? Another cool detail is the steering of the truck using that unusual orientation of the rack. That's another genius solution that is simple and saves a lot of space and gears. And... please correct me if I'm wrong, but... does the geometry of that solution even add Ackermann characteristics to the steering? Imho so far every component of the whole project is a little gem on its own and could easily be an official set. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much. I'm so overwhelmed by your positive feedback, especially because this vehicle has been a passion project I've had in my mind for a long time. The POC for the front fascia was sitting in a box for months, but the release of the Bronco and its fender pieces gave me the final push to start on this project. So happy TLG sells the Bronco in red. Btw there's another exclusive part from the Bronco that made it into the fire engine. Look at how smooth connector#7 follows the shape of the curved panels in the roof. So satisfying...

Thank you very much. Well, I dunno if it is that "many". Tbh, I'm always short on parts. Then I spend a lot of time finding compromises for building solutions or swapping parts from my existing vehicles, if e. g. I need a part in a certain colour. You remember my car transporter trailer? In the beginning it wasn't supposed to be blue, but at that time when I needed 10 3x11 panels of the same colour, blue was the only way to go. For refilling my parts stock, I choose carefully which sets I buy. Some of them even more than once, if they are good parts packs, like the 42078 Mack, the 42098 Car Transporter, the 42108 Crane, the 42128 Rotator and recently the 42213 Bronco. In individual cases I have also ordered from PaB, for example the narrow truck tires or recently a handful of rounded panels for the fire engine. The good thing is that this way you always have an answer to the question of what you want for your birthday.

It has been on my mind for sooo long, but only the Bronco fenders made it possible: 1970 American LaFrance 900 Series "Pumper" Fire Engine American LaFrance Pumper - Bricksafe It features: HOG steering with reduction fake V6 engine openable doors for driver and co-driver openable storage compartments: 2 * 4x2 studs, 4 * 3x4 studs ladder, hoses, fire extinguishers, axes, boxes (fit in the compartments, can be filled with all kinds of fire fighters' equipment) It's in "MACK" scale, like most 15 studs wide trucks. As said before, it heavily benefits from the new fender pieces from the Bronco. The only downside is, that the inner arches are available in black only. If they come in red or lbg, these are the ones I will swap. At first I was afraid, that the mounting point one stud inwards, compared to without the additional inner arch, might make the wheels collide with the chassis when turning. But everything works fine with the narrower truck tires. I will use these too to equip the rear axle with twin tires, but I need to order some first. Here are some more details: Thanks for reading.
