Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
PsychoBuilder replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh, I love John Williams and I think he’s a genius. It’s just that something about Patrick Doyle’s theme has this grand feeling that really captures the spirit of the Triwizard Tournament for me. I think in terms of quality, POA is the best, but GoF is my personal favorite. Also—it would have been probably the best movie if they had gone longer—it’s a huge book, and the movie probably had to be fairly short. On another note about the movies @Guyon2002, I think HBP in terms of book accuracy is still miles better than DH part 2, but it’s definitely the second least accurate. -

Maybe for me it is just the music, but I think GoF is the best movie—it probably could have been split into two though. -

There are nine villains? This is getting out of hand. -

Ahh. I assumed you meant “I guess,” as in like it was already happening, not a guess. That’s on me, sorry. -

Even though Sirius is a very close 3rd, Lupin and Tonks are the absolute worst for me—Lupin because he was the last close father figure and friend (unless you count Arthur) so I suppose he had to die, but the death of Tonks just feels so unfair. -

Yup. I was trying to be at least somewhat vague just in case some people hadn’t gotten to that point, although I assume most people have. -

When I said the part that mad us curse JK Rowling, I meant the most devastating scene in the series, at least at that point. I suppose that wasn’t quite clear... On another note, someone just suggested a blusher D2C. While that would be weird, I think like the box of quidditch materials would be neat, if expensive. -

I don’t know... that scene in 5 was where most of us must have put down the book and cursed JK Rowling. It would be interesting, as it would be hard to do as a set, but I think they could probably pull it off if they did it like the Jurassic Park, by which I mean a facade with scenes in the back. I would say the bigger problem is the one I mentioned above and the fact that it is not as famous in DH as it is in OOTP. Although I suppose that they did Lily and James, so any sad part of HP is possible. -

It might make more sense to do nostalgia based on better classic sets. Do the green roofs, but maybe more inspired by the 2007 or 2010 sets? Then include the bright colors and cardboard pieces of the early 2001 ones. Or, they could do a COS remake, a new Dumbledore’s Office, and Diagon Alley Shops. There were good classic sets, but the ones they chose were not great. -

Iirc, the Avengers Tower has a really bad ppp, probably because it has a ton of huge pieces. The set that has been speculated to have bigfigs could also be that. I think they have only done like one set with two bigfigs, the Hulk vs Red Hulk. -

Are the names really weird or something? (If that is something you can say.) Or is it just not representative of the future of HP (which I assume you cannot say.) -

It’s like watching a show where a main character or writer leaves... it’s really hard to recover after that, and it doesn’t feel as special after that. -

Actually, it appears one thing may be there, endgame related. It may be fake though, as it has the 1989 Batmobile number. -

The forbidden corridor kind of looks like it could be the area next to the Bell Towers for me. I’m probably one of the few that thinks these actually look really good. -

Okay, so what would be your ideas for a reasonable list? I’m not saying something to the effect of five different versions of Dobby’s sock, but also not Grimmauld Place, DA, and the Bell Towers together. Here is mine: 20$: remake of the Horntail figures: Harry 30$: Another Hogwarts moment set, probably DADA with Lupin or Quirrel Figures: Oliver Wood and Harry if it’s Quirrel, Harry and Draco if it’s Lupin 50$: Niffler statue Figures: Newt and a niffler 60$: The second task, no Durmstrang ship Figures: Harry, Krum, Cedric, Ron, and Hermionie—maybe Cho 120$: Some Hogwarts expansion, probably the bell towers Figures: knight statue, McGonagal, Harry, Death Eater, Flitwick, Voldemort, Ron, Hermionie, and Narcissa 250$: I really can’t see this as anything but Da, but I suppose a D2C Burrow (it’s my second guess) Molly, Arthur, Ron, Ginny, the twins, Harry, Hermionie, Bill, Fleur, and Xenophilius -

Well now I’m really curious. If it is Mario-esque, like some have suggested, I’m going to scream like Michael Scott when Toby returns. I really hope I am in the “love” category. -

I think we need more Hogwarts, so probably the Bell Towers for the 120, or Grimmauld place sort of in the style of the Sanctum Sanctorum. The 250 set would probably be a DA expansion, but I think a wild card like the Hogwarts Express, a D2C Burrow, or something completely unexpected could be neat too. -

I forgot that he lost the claw legs, but every version of Maul has made him look like his TPM appearance. I feel like something similar but not quite the same to the Tusken Raider head mold would really capture his personality. On your point about Rebels, I think you are right. Sabine’s hair alone makes her look half a foot taller than any other fig, and the sets are quite oddly scaled. The ghost is still a neat set, despite its size.
