  1. thank you... with the second bird I wasn't limited with bricks either
  2. ....and another version of this JoJo-Parrot
  3. This is a replica of the well-known children's toy mobile. Built from parts of the Lego set 11019 with two additional Lego ropes+pins.
  4. wow, that is a super detailed lego automaton....great mechanic...just saw the wooden version...that was always too complicated for me
  5. sorry, I rarely do building instructions. I hope this picture shows the most important details
  6. tinkering with roller coaster tracks...after seeing a 3d printed ball track "seesaw" sculpture.
  7. experimenting with the gyroscope effect....I have to take all my circle gear rack parts until this projekt worked. Inspired by a motorized toy version.
  8. Its a windup motor 42073c01
  9. Here are a two Detail photos https://pin.it/76AmnaC https://pin.it/BtxRofA
  10. The first version of the mechanical man was moved by a simple impulse. In this version, arms and legs should be moved separately. I copied the clever mechanics for the joints from a sculpture by Mark Galt
  11. I once again experimented with roller coaster rails and this time with table tennis balls, and the result was a ball track loop It was all very "close" and the balls fly off the track quickly if they go too fast.
  12. ...wow..thanks for your research
  13. Thanks... I am fascinated by the simplicity. two oblique axes transmit the tilting movement...without changing the steering "track" (or what is the angle of inclination of the wheel called?)
  14. ...and once again a project begins with a funny toy. ...and after a few failed attempts, a simpel motorized version comes out foreign parts:Motors from circuit cubes
  15. ...some more tinkering with wind turbines
  16. After some attempts to use the panel fairings as a propeller blade or pinwheel, i like this variant best.
  17. Finally, the pterodactylus from the Creator Set 31058 has been brought to life. With a few extra parts for the joints, the bird was mobile enough to be moved by seven different eccentric disks/ Cams. I got the idea for this sculpture/ Automaton from artist Reuben Margolin who built a bird with this mechanism.
  18. Thanks! I saw someone, who motorize in this way. motorizing the "hexasphericon" won't be easy :-)
  19. https://www.pinterest.de/pin/501377371025540453/
  20. Fascinated by kinetic geometric bodies like the shpericon (shpere + cone) I experimented with the possibilities of rollercoaster parts... The result is a series of different models: Basic Shpericon / Hexasphericon and a motorized version +Motor
  21. ....that has to work somehow with lego?! Fascinated by Oscar Pettersson's animation...I played around with the Trammel of Archimedes mechanism
  22. good tip, that would bring the construction even closer to the original. I'm still thinking about which MOC I want to split into six parts
  23. Kinetic sculpture inspired by sculpture "cory´s yellow chair" from Arthur Ganson replaced the chair with a lego cube :-)
