  1. Thank u for sharing with us...... Appreciate ur hard work
  2. I would do that too. Why do TLC have to sell them in pack?
  3. I totally agree on this. I like ur opinion, Sweden.
  4. In my opinion, UCSs are the sets that are expensive (which would cost u a lot of $$ to own it) and huge (which would require a lot of space to display it). Agree?
  5. SuvieD surely knows a lot in drawing....... I wish to see ur drawing. :)
  6. It's going to end? So soon........ too bad.......... I didn't involved much in this interesting event............. A bit regret........... BTW, I wish to see new VIKINGS products in year 2006.
  7. I really like robots.......... So, this theme is a must-buy for me......... (have to save $$ starting from now) Are they divided into two teams? The good guys and the bad guys? So, the bright-colour-haired will be the good guys and the others will be the bad one? Which sets belong to the good one?
  8. Before that, I was excited to hear that there'll be a hospital set in year 2006. However, after viewing the pics, I'm very disappointed with the design. The colour is just not right. Too many red pieces....... (just my opinion). I thought this hospital set would have more emphasize on the interior........ like having an operation room, service counter, x-ray room, ward...... I'm not a fan of small vehicles (basically, i'm a fan of bigger set), so, i won't comment any of them........ The airport set seems a bit smaller than what I expected. Built on 32x16 baseplate..........?! It could have been larger.......... I like the rotating door (I know it's not new) and all the transparent pieces. I'm totally addicted to this kind of pieces. However, the use of white and black big pieces turn me off a bit. The plane is ok........... It looks very realistic and sleek....... though consists of some big pieces (which are not very useful to do MOC but I'm the kind of pure collector, so, I can tolerate with it.....)
  9. Personally, I've no interests in megafig..... However, this new range of megafigures looks attractive......... (I won't buy it, still) I hope there'll b minifig-scaled sets in year 2006. I wonder what the big set would look like. We already have Castle of Morcia (the king's castle) and Vladek's Fortress (the bad guys' fortress)..... so what left........ can't wait to find out...... Hopefully there'll be more leak-out pics coming soon.......
  10. No problem at all, the dimensions are: 576 x 384 x 96 mm
  11. This is the best among the HP IV sets. It's a complete scene of the graveyard duel. The things that i like about this set are: 1. The small house 2. The gate and fence. It will form a closed rectangular space when it's folded up togehter. 3. Tom Riddle's grave. I dislike: 1. The gray cloaks. They are too large for the minifigs. 2. Cedric is not included in this set. I wish to see more new minifig of other characters appearing in LEGO HP line.
  12. I wish TLC included the minifig of Fleur in this set.... but they didn't. I like the colour combination of this set. The blues and the greens really work to depict an underwater scene. The merpeople looks a bit fierce . . . I really like the yellow crab and the red lobster/prawn (or scorpion from the castle line). The transparent-blue jelly fish is cute too....... I didn't know it was a jelly fish until i read about answer from Bloody_jay to sam89.
  13. The sets from HP IV are all priced too high . . . (even the owner of a LEGO store agreed on that). What can we do? TLC has to pay royalty to Warner Bros and JKR........... So, the cost passed down to us, LEGO consumer....... The dragon is 'stiff'. It doesn't have many movable joints and WHERE ARE THE ARMS? The mountains......... no comment on them (too tired to keep complaining though it's obvious that they are BURPs, haha). There are a few things that I like about this set: 1. The tan banana-shaped claws of the dragon 2. The magnetic piece 3. The crest tiles of three schools 4. New minifig of Prof. Dumbledore and Mad-Eye Moody
  14. I guess it can float as the hulls are from the 4+ Pirate Line. However, the floating function is not mentioned on the box.......... so u'll have to try it yourself........ i don't wanna risk my Durmstrang ship to sink like the Titanic What I like about this set are: 1. The cabin. I like the fully opened/accesible concept (though all the detachings would make ur LEGO pieces beome loose). I like the architectural design of the windows (though the windows can't be opened due to the same reason). (Sorry, I know I'm ironic..... hehehe) I like the chrome and trasparent round dishes. 2. The deck cabin. The interior is well-designed and the doorways of the deck looks great to me too. The doorways are high enough for the minifigs to enter into the deck cabin (unlike the red-arc-structure on the 2nd deck) 3. The slanted poles and the banners My complaints are: 1. Too few minifig. 2. The deck is empty...... 3.The hull of the ship could be made of 3 pieces (like the 7075 Captan Redbeard's Pirate Ship) so that it would be a larger ship (I prefer larger sets though it would cost much higher) 4. The tan and light blue colours. The ship looks great in these colours but I thought the Durmstrang ship should not be so bright-coloured as the Durmstrang school is prone to dark magic.... their ship should be in the colour which would create so sense of mystery...... However, I should have waited to comment on the colour until I've watched the HP IV movie.
  15. The dimension of the fortress: Length: 40cm or 15.8inch (from base plate of right side to base plate of left) 44cm or 17.4inch (horns on the walls are taken into consideration) Width: 40cm or 15.8inch (from base plate of front to base plate of backside) 48cm or 18.9inch (horns on the walls and catapult are taken into consideration) I'm not sure about the function of the chain on 7017. Perhaps in the real world, it serves as something like the string on a bow to fire the 'elbow'.....but in the 7017, it does not have any function. Just some guesses. :-D When I think of Vikings people, ships and boats will come into my mind. Therefore, it's not suprised a lot of people (including me) would rate the 7016 and 7018 higher than other set.
  16. The ship ranks the highest because of the chicken-grilling inside the ship..... (hahaha, I'm that simple) The fortress comes in 2nd is an unavoidable consequence as i always prefer the larger (or largest) set in the theme. The catapult ranks higher than the boat and the warrior is solely due to the dragon.... I like its colour..... though it looks a bit small compared to the dragon of the fortress set. So, I would recommend u to buy the boat cos u get two small boats in a reasonably priced set. (though i dislike the dragon of that set)
  17. I'm wondering that myself. Here's what I would love to see: Beauxbatons Carriage $20, 240 pcs. Includes the winged horses, carriage, Madame Maxime and Fleur Delacour. The Final Task $40, 450 pcs. Includes several 'sections' of maze hedges (corner, fork, straight path, etc. - so that several sets could combine to make a huge maze), blast-ended skrewt and/or other monsters, Triwizard Cup (good opportunity for a new chrome gold piece), Cedric Diggory, and Harry Potter. If those two sets were released, I'd be happy. I agree on your suggestions...... brilliant ideas..........
  18. i've bought this set and kind of suprised when I opened the box and found out that the pieces are quite little..... however, I shouldn't complain much cos I got it at ~USD10.
  19. Before I bought the sets, I thought the order would be: 1. Viking Fortress 2. Viking Ship 3. Viking Catapult 4. Viking Boat 5. Viking Knights and the wolf However, after i've bought the sets and seeing the real things: 1. Viking Ship 2. Viking Fortress 3. Viking Catapult 4. Viking Boat 5. Viking Knights and the wolf What do you guys think?
  20. Once again, Bricksworld got the special offer. 7324 is only sold at ~USD10. I'm glad that I live near to Singapore.
  21. For me: 1st place: Castle 2nd place: HP and SW 3rd place: Vikings and Designers ;)
  22. Thanks for your compliment. ;)
  23. I really hate those imitators . . . Let's burn all of them
  24. I want to have this set.
  25. Please, TLC, quickly launch the HP products in Singapore.
