I think olive works for prequel Yoda, but OT Yoda is definitely sand green. It's my preferred colour as well, I wish the Yoda's hut had used it.

not defending the problem, but considering how for so long they apparently weren't making this set due to stability and structure issues, I can't say I'm surprised that the construction has a few of these hiccups now that they've finally done it

see the second part of my comment, though. Even if both were downscaled, you'd still have to spend nearly $200 for the both of them. I'm sure a separate AT-TE would sell just fine on its own, but the dropship would suffer from being a big ~$100 set that has little value if you don't buy the other big ~$100 set that goes with it. Most parents could not justify such a thing.

I don't think there's an awful big market for a dropship without anything for it to drop. This leaves you stuck buying two massive sets, something that I'm sure is far more justifiable for us than it is for most parents of children.

Glad to see that, on top of snow printing, Chewbacca's fur highlights are finally done in medium nougat! Looks far better and more accurate than dark tan, imo, so hopefully we get a non-snow variant in the near future EDIT: Just noticed, the 4x4 dish piece on the side is new! It has stud cutouts on the sides, so you no longer need to have it resting on a tiled surface or a 4x4 round plate

I'd be more than welcoming of a snowspeeder if they finally gave it a new canopy

if they had included a full scale x-wing in the set, it would be exponentially more expensive, or much less detailed in other areas. The fact that there's also an X-Wing currently on shelves also contributes to this; you'd have people angry that lego has put out "another x-wing" right after the last one, and it would also hurt the sales of said x-wing as people (especially in the 18+ market) wouldn't feel the need to buy both sets unless they're completionists. I think the inclusion of just the wing is fine, especially considering that's all that was visible of the ship when Yoda said the quote in the film.

I think we can all agree that the choice of the AT-AT driver is odd and far from the most logical option lego could have done. I'd rather leave it at that than have another 3 pages of discourse over how lego hates the prequels, thinks prequel fans are stupid, or something.

One of my criticisms of the OG design was always the cockpit curved being far too accentuated. This is a perfect solution, I love the shapes and subtle angles that can be created using panels. The way you've covered the exposed gears in the wings as well, . Excellent work all around

I have not seen a single person who voted for the Nebulon complain about it. Adversely, I have seen several people who voted for the gunship complain about it.

When all else fails, go back to complaining about the stormtrooper helmet! On a serious note, I quite like the new helmet. It was also very easy to army build, and getting variants such as the shadow troopers and now the mortar troopers is very welcome. Hopefully we can see an incinerator trooper or shock trooper down the line, though the latter one I doubt.

Isn't the AT-AT longer than it is high though? Also, I have Jhae's AT-AT behind me and it's about 60 cm tall, so I think a meter is a little much lol

I have seen a lot of complaints about this being the first non-minifig scale UCS set above $200. While this is blatantly untrue (Sandcrawler, Death Stars, Star Destroyers, etc.) I think an even more important note is that, with the exception of the Naboo starfighter waaaaaay back before they knew what they were doing, no UCS set has EVER been the same size as its system scale counterpart. Every UCS set that has an existing system scale variant (star destroyers, all starfighters, falcon, slave 1, etc) is significantly larger than said system scale variant. In the case of the falcon, slave 1, and imperial shuttle, the upscaled version is more or less to scale with minifigures. In the case of everything else, it is a heavily detailed display model that would look silly when you put minifigures inside of it. The gunship falls into the latter category. Lego's system scale gunships are already built to minifig scale, so a UCS version at the same size would be redundant, and people would complain about getting a gunship that's the same size as the system scale one for more than double the price. Even accounting for the reduced price of a smaller UCS gunship, it would still be far more expensive than any system scale variant, while clocking in at around the same size. If you want a minifig scale gunship, buy a system scale version or a moc

that is a LOT larger than I expected, I have richboyjhae's AT-AT sitting on my dresser and the Mantis would be taller than two of them stacked on top of eachother, and longer than two of them back to back as well. Massive.
