  1. It sure did, carbon fibre dust. I changed the gearing to fix that.
  2. Hi, I managed to destroy Cada carbon fibre axles, i thought you guys might appreciate the pictures; lesson to be learned, 4 Pro L motors driving the same axle without gear reduction is not a good idea.
  3. Hi, I made a couple of alterations/improvments that i would like to share. The Stud.io files are in my Bricksafe - original Buwizz modification - two buwizz3 and 4 L-motors (Cada in my case) - two buwizz3, 4 L-motors and a wider body to have a lower center of gravity and less friction in the drive train. (WIP) I also cleaned up some of the body work to accomodate bigger wheels.
  4. Fun it is for sure, any faster and it would be very hard to control.
  5. I made an offroad video, what do you think @Didumos69 ?
  6. Hi, I downloaded the app and the buwizz extension. However the motors take about a second to react to input from the control or controller, also the motors do not run at the same time, it looks like they all go in series. Is this a known issue? could not find anything about it. I have 2 buwizz3 with 4 PF-L-motor and a PU servo connected. Thanks in advance!
  7. Even with grease they do not rotate all that well, and no the PU servo is not really better, controlling this with a smartphone while trying to film at the same time is also not very easy. But if you have only buwizz3 with 4 PF outlets you kinda have to use a PU servo. That mounting on the turntable does not work for Porsche rims, which was my ultimate goal.
  8. The turntables give a lot of friction, i gathered that removing them would increase the speed and save some weight. But having no way of measuring it i do not know if it actually did, the CADA motors in theory output ~2 times the power of the regular motors, so the best way to test if it really helps would be to install the turntable hubs. The motors and buwizz 3 and PU servo alone would be an upgrade, don't you think? I actually came up with this idea because of another car i am working on with porsche rims, the turntables are not very wel mountable with those. That works good, so i decided to test it with the greyhound, since i had all the parts laying around.
  9. I used carbon fibre axles at the end, superglued to a metal universal joint in front and an axle connector in the back. They grip well on plastic, i just added some superglue to the axles that did not grip well, let it dry and it grips fantasticly.
  10. I did an upgrade of the Greyhound, it appears to be faster than the original one, i have no way of measuring it though. 2 x Buwizz 3.0 PU Servo 4 x Cada Pro L motor Redesigned wheel hubs without turntables (some) Superglue Would you like to know more?
  11. I found something under the dust and decided to give it another go. Made some changes and improvements and it drives quite well, i have added pictures and the design to my Bricksafe I can make a video if anyone is interested.
  12. Please derail, i consider this more of the same interesting stuff.
  13. I see, i was thinking about it the wrong way. Power takeoff can be off any axle or gear? Thanks for the response.
  14. Would you take the power from an extra gear connected to the red gear? How would you combine three motors?
  15. Hi, I could not find anything definitive on this, so i am asking it here. What would you think is the best way to combine motor output, i have always been doing it like this; But from what i see others do you can also combine them like this; Is it a matter of prefference, or are there donwnsides to the solution above?
  16. Nice, does it fire actual missiles?
  17. Indeed a linear actuator, i got the idea after seeing sariels latest video. It's not perfect yet, here is the file
  18. I decided it needed turrets Thanks to the sponsons it became a plugin solution.
  19. Well buwizz is what i have, and buwizz is what i shall use. I appreciate the advice, will post my findings.
  20. Buwizz 2 specs state max 4A per channel, so if i connect one motor to it, would that not be more than enough? Buwizz 3 specs state max 2A per channel, that might not be enough. Also, since these l motors draw twice the power of a lego L motor, does that mean they also make twice the amount of torque? theoretically that should suffice. And if not i can alwyas down gear them, should still be faster. I am going to try anyway, the lego l motors just can not hack it.
  21. I could net let go of it so i ordered some CADA pro L motors and did a redesign of the drive unit. Managed to shave off about 300 Grams In order to fit the motors lengthwise i had to resort to some "chinese prototype" perpendicular liftarms of the 5 and 7 studs variety. Also redesigned the steering actuator to use sliding axles in stead of liftarms. I will post the results once the motors have arrived.
  22. Thanks, i am going to start over, this is too much weight and size. The whole steering assembly/front suspension is hinged and connected with the ducati shocks to the top. See for yourself; Design I actually have four of those, but they are in a different project at the moment. There they work quite well with one connected to each buwizz 2.0 and two connected to the 3.0, but it only has a weight of about 1.3 KG
