  1. Yeah I've seen similar, shipping rates are up 5x in comparison to this time last year in some areas which of course that extra cost will fall onto the consumers. With so many D2C and regular sets on the way these next few months will be intresting to see if they can keep everything to schedule or we might be seeing Home Alone in January
  2. I'd be very suprised if it didn't happen as it's been reported from three different places at different times so adds a lot of crediblity to it
  3. They are all retail exclusive sets unfortunately. The Shang Chi Dragon is a John Lewis exclusive, the car chase is a Smyths exclusive. Then for the Hydra Stomper it doesn't seem to have been given anywhere other than Lego directly for now annoyingly
  4. When has everyone heard the possible release date might be for this years set? I'm still holding out for mid September for VIPS
  5. Yeah I'm suprised too based on past years... maybe we'll have to change that very soon
  6. Yeah I think it is for now and then New Asgard is a Tesco exclusive for the UK
  7. With the set numbers for the 4+ line being separate numbering to the regular sets it makes me think again these will be a new subtheme for sure like we saw with the 4+ Mickey Mouse and friends line which started this year under a completely new numbering system to the regular Disney sets
  8. Yeah agreed hopefully it's on a baseplate to fit with all the other modulars and they did it with the Daily Bugle too. With around 1300 they could still do something pretty great with it just won't be as detailed as we've come to love with the Ninjago modulars
  9. Yeah it will be intresting to see what they are remakes of if they are legacy but I'm swinging more towards S16 sets maybe now. For my I'm the most curious as to what the modular will be and what they'll do with it at that smaller scale
  10. Just wanted to say I'm not the source of these they were published on a Russian news site I believe. As a casual Ninjago fan I just made some guesses of what sets they could be remakes of if they are legacy but of course they could also be S16 sets
  11. It might be based off the one from series 2 cmf version but I might be wrong with that
  12. I like how the objects can just be added onto the Hedwig on the books with jumper tiles so you can have a cluttered looking stack of objects below Hedwig or a more clean looking display which I'll probably do then do some modification to the golden minifigure stand to add the other 6 to the front of it so then I can have the all displayed together.
  13. Yeah that's why I wondered if Icons collection was really the best name for this set when you were all sepculating over the objects and what's actually included in the set. I'm happy to see this has been received a lot better than I imagined
  14. I've got to say in two hours the set has grown on me a lot... it's gone from not picking it up at all to wanting it day one
  15. I put the rumour out at the start of Febuary we were getting a much larger Hedwig in 2021... 6 months on its here!
  16. So remember when I rumoured that giant Hedwig back in Febuary
  17. Ah he's deleted it now but he posted a cauldron thought that's what you meant sorry
  18. The object in his teaser isn't included
  19. If it releases early September then probably mid August
  20. Some intresting guesses at the amount of objects. I'm gonna leave it there with teasers/hints and leave it as a suprise for reveal day. As with every set some of you will find this one "golden" and others very dissapointing and just remember what's been said previously about being suprised about what an icon is A few of you will go "ohhhh" when you see it too Anyways we shouldn't be long off a reveal now so I look foward to hearing all your thoughts.
  21. Just out of curiosity how many objects do people think will be included in the D2C?
  22. The US aren't not gonna get 2HY at all as there already showing up in Target, Walmart and Kohls so it might just be a limted run I guess. The sets aren't offically scheduled for retirement until July 2022.
  23. I'd say by September at the latest for my guess
  24. Yeah there should a separate winter village set this year too alongside the anticipated Home alone set
  25. Based on how Lego operates designers never say a certain product is coming soon so I think this could just be a generic response about Gringotts. The designer isn't going to go yeah it's coming or it could be in the works a year in advance so I wouldn't take it too seriously for now. Anyways this year we've been treated with Hogwarts Icons Collection instead
