My DA just got delivered in Canada, ordered at midnight on Sep 1 so just under a 9 day turn-around. Burrow also now showing 'In warehouse' as opposed to 'Backordered'.

I agree the website is fairly rudimentary with no options to see order updates and the 'contact us' form kept crashing. Had I not found the number and called and got the email back I would have been contacting paypal for my money back claiming they were not legit.

I heard nothing and emailed twice and got no reply so called the cell number showing on the paypal transaction. Left a message and within 20 minutes a great guy called Martin emailed me to say my CMF order had just shipped to Canada from the UK and gave me the Royal Mail tracking details. He said they are working frantically to get all orders out but they are clearly well ahead of the 15 September suggested shipping date. Mine have been in transit 6 days now so hoping to get them any day, I am on the East coast of Canada so about as close to the UK as I can get without getting my feet wet!

FYI for those that pre-ordered the set of 16 CMF from theminifigurestore.uk mine shipped yesterday by air mail to Canada, 11 days ahead of schedule! It was an especially good day since my DA shipped too. I had a frustrating experience with the GWP's even though it worked out very well but not as I had intended. My plan was for a big order, DA, Burrow, student set, ROR and calendar. I stayed up until 1am my time and jumped on them as soon as DA came live. But every time I tried to add multiple items to the cart it kicked me out of my account. So I had to do separate orders. DA first, though I was so quick that the GWP hadn't gone live. Then the Burrow as a set, then finally by the time I got to the rest it let me put them all in the cart together. The 3rd order shipped right away with GWP, the Burrow is backordered with a GWP and I had to call Lego directly to get one attached to the DA set. After a 1 hour hold they did it as a separate order but it cancelled almost instantly when I went back to look at my orders. So another hour on hold, got through to a guy, told him the story and he said he would reorder and monitor it himself. But then it cancelled again. I gave up bothering but that night an order appeared and went to warehouse for the GWP! So it seems I ended up with 3. I will give one to my 6 yr old daughter and likely sell the other two to offset the cost of DA...and all the other sets as the credit card is on fire right now...even more so since the new Batwing leaked and I have to have that to go with the 1989 BM. I am very jealous of all of you building DA now because I am taking a week off work between XMAS and NY to do it as a family build and that is a LONG time away and that box is going to sit looking at me just begging to be built! I have Privet Drive, Grawp and AT to pass the time this long weekend and will put up new shelves in the Lego room ready for DA.

Showed up online at 11.57 EST here in Canada, (even though there is an earlier timezone here AST that I am in so it was almost 1am for me) and I ordered so fast the GWP didn't attach and in my haste I didn't even notice. Luckily ordered the Burrow as a second order and got the GWP, then ordered the calendar, 2 student sets (only meant for 1 but again was going too fast!) and ROR and got a second GWP so it all turned out quite well but the credit card is smoking! Well done to all those who got it and best of luck to those that didn't get DA for finding it soon!

Haha indeed, but hey, a problem is a problem nontheless. Living in rural Eastern Canada I can only dream of this mystical thing known as "a Lego Store"....for me 3 business shipping will be a blink of an eye. May the Lego gods be with you!

Forgive me, but why would you buy it in a store if you had been successful ordering it online?

Same in Canada, not showing at all. Maybe there is a GWP invisibility cloak with it and they included it on the item listing?

SOunds like you have answered your own question. They like Lego so much and you want to buy it for them...go with your gut and make it happen :)

For me here in Canada it is not a case of wondering which day DA will be released...but which month!!! I just hope we don't have to wait for Santa to get it!!!

Looking for advice please, especially from any Canadian collectors. Some of the other sets (AT, Grawp etc) have finally released for sale on Lego Canada so I am about to jump on them but I have never bought HP sets via them, I started late so got mine from Amazon etc. Are they likely to do a double VIP points promo on HP sets in the coming days due to DA or should I grab them now while I can?

I pre-ordered mine a week ago after I became aware of the store via this forum. Shipping before the 15th Sep and trans-Atlantic crossing time along with customs holding it to make sure it is not a Covid-ridden piece of biological material is still faster than I would be able to collect all 16 figures living in rural Canada where the nearest and only option is a Toys R Us that is a 2.5 hour round trip! I am also also a Brit ex-pat so I trust in my English friends to get these little pieces of plastic to me with all the energy and determination that a Spitfire pilot would put into such a crucial mission!

I hope so...they charged me for them! The store was mentioned on this forum a few pages back. I paid through Paypal so if there is a problem I am covered anyway

Yes...that one too, thanks :) prepreorder is for 67.99 UK pounds with only 7.99 shipping to Canada so presumably US is same or very similar.

The minifigures store in the UK www.minifigurestore.uk has a full set of 16 CMF figures available for preorder with very reasonable international shipping prices. I have mine preordered from there.

Sorry, just about to hit 'fire' on getting the CMF from 'The Minifigure Store' in the UK but this would change my mind...do Lego themselves sell whole boxes of 60 on their website or do they only go to retailers? I wasn't collecting when the 1st series came out and got them on Ebay after.

Thanks! The UK website can get me a set here shipped for about $110 CDN, it would cost me $345 for the box from TRU or somewhere like that based on $4.99 per bag plus tax. I could then of course sell sets on ebay ( I live on US border so could mail in the US to open me up to US ebay market) to pull back the cost, maybe even making enough to offset some of the figures I keep and in a pre-Covid world that is exactly what I would have done...but who can be bothered with that kind of thing anymore, especially since I can't cross the border! I am happy to wait for the regular sets and DA and buy them on legoshop Canada with my VIP points but they don't give you access to the CMF right? Or am I wrong? Can I get a box direct from lego? My concern is that living in rural Canada, a full 90 minute drive to even get to somewhere like a TRU who would have a box, only to find the 1 box they have is opened already and forcing me to have to feel the bags, and there is no way in a Covid world we want to be feeling up minifigure bags right without full hazmat gear!!!

Hello everyone, I found this forum during lockdown when you were all on about page 150 and it has provided me with much valuable information, and admittedly, much entertainment too! I just decided to sign up today so that I can ask a question. The minifigure store website mentioned in this member's message looks great and I am about to pre-order too since it is impossible to get anything Lego Harry Potter in Canada it seems (still just says 'coming soon' even on the sets) and I figure my best bet is to do i this way. Are there any other websites people can recommend maybe closer to home for me that would ship a whole set of the 16 pieces of CMF 2? And just a bit of background, I have got back into Lego again as a 37 yr old Dad of a 6 yr old daughter and she was my excuse to collect HP Lego. I basically have every piece of this new wave going back to the new Great Hall and almost every minifigure too. I also collect D2C sets from movies I liked as a kid, so the T Rex, Batmobile, Ghostbusters HQ, Tower of Orthanc (just got that a few days ago!) and latest UCS Millennium Falcon and am lucky enough to have a whole spare bedroom in our house to display them all . Nice to meet you all! EDIT, sorry I was quoting Roguetwo and it seems it didn't insert: I ordered the minifigures from The Minifigure Store UK. Not too much of a markup from the US prices, and now I can just wait for a complete set to arrive in the mail. The only downside is that now I might have difficulty paying for Diagon Alley if it has an "expansion pack," but oh well...I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
