  1. Oh, so most of the august wave information was bull s***? Did I miss something and KA1 was full of crap from the beginning? But Lego Fulcrum (I think it was) said he was right and then we assumed (making a a** of you and me as some would say) and then as far as I can tell Guyon2002, Falconfan1414, and Brick clicker never exactly confirmed this information just saying vague things such as "the cat is out of the bag" and such and then we all jumped on what KA1 had said and made a**** of ourselves? Wow, we are fools. On the bright side I now have a chance to bring out my newly polished pitchfork. Mods if you haven't all ready can you ban KA1?
  2. I would feel hugely disappointed I never really thought about how much I wanted it until I had no choice but to accept it when it leaked that it was going to come out as the D2C. When I first heard about it I was disappointed I had hoped for a battle of Hogwarts but now with every day that goes by I get more and more excited for it I know Lego will go all out with the pieces and it will look gorgeous as a huge D2C which is really the only way I can see us getting a good movie accurate version.
  3. So what we learned today was that: $250-chess set $120-Harry and Hermione brick built figures $60, $40, or $30 is Fawkes Cornish pixies are coming out in one of the summer sets (at least) Am I missing anything? And KA1 knew this all along. Apologies for not believing you three or four weeks ago. $250 chess set didn't manage to fit Guyon2002s description of a horrible surprise instead the opposite way around I will buy if it connects with the rest of the castle or if it doesn't either way I'm happy though I think it would probably look nicer by itself and not connected to anything else but it would need to have at least one of the following for me to get it a unique golden minifigure(s) (I like them), the golden trio in unique outfits, or the pieces are brick built. I am a lifelong chess fan and had a chess set with pieces about 3-5 feet tall in my back yard at my old house before my job changed and I needed to move. I had my eye on a nice new chess set on Ebay that I had been bidding on for a few days and this morning I decided to check the forum and see if anything had leaked I was shocked to see a chess set was coming (and that it was KA1 who had leaked it) I decided to give up on the one on Ebay so I could instead get this one (my wallet's $2,000 happier) it turned out I had been outbid anyways so I didn't bother placing another bid. I am thrilled we are getting one and I think it will probably look amazing. For the brick built figures that was a bad surprise that will be an easy skip for me (which means $120 towards the UCS AT-AT instead). Fawkes was another nice surprise I got Hedwig last year and it was a great build and makes an even better display piece. I am excited to see how they make him hopefully standing straight up with wings stretched out and some way to make them flap. So now there is only 2 sets left unknown right? (or 1 if we assume flying lesson or quidditch is one of them).
  4. Does anyone know the correct location of the clock tower in the books? I remember it being to the left of the great hall in the movies but some maps online are saying otherwise. Can we please stop the whining about the anniversary sets? Every morning when I check this forum I see at least 40+ new posts and when I read through them mainly the posts follow this pattern: A person (who will go unnamed though we all know who I'm talking about.) says something bad about the anniversary sets. Various members state their opinions that they like them or don't like them in thoughtful detailed posts. Unnamed person makes an argument against the anniversary sets and makes passive aggressive remarks against the people who have information and are kind enough to share it, which unnamed person does in short posts of course which explain how unnamed member has accumulated roughly 300 posts in a month in spring of all times the driest season of the year for leaks. Now, I am not trying to give unnamed person the opportunity to endlessly respond and I am not trying to get this thread locked unnamed person you know who you are I don't want a fight just please try to improve and you might want to try limiting yourself to one long post a day instead of 10 short ones and only check the forum once or twice daily that's my goal and what I try to do.
  5. So to clarify Hooch and Golden Quirrell are real but everything about them coming in a moments sets is lies and not true right? No DH sets is confirmed now? At this point though I feel glad that Guyon2002 and Falconfan1414 told us to lower our expectations because by now I have accepted that were not getting any DH sets if he hadn't shared with us to lower our expectations sooner there would be a lot of anger on this forum. Now even though we aren't getting any DH sets we might still get some good ones I don't see them doing the entire august wave as PS and COS based because really they have already covered nearly everything there with the June wave and one set of the august wave now lets wait and see because I bet they'll have at least a few things from the other books maybe we do get the Durmstrang ship, Grimmauld place, another chunk of Hogsmeade, forbidden forest with fang and down it's luck unicorn, more parts of Hogwarts? I actually really like but not prefer the anniversary style and really if you order the parts that come in sand green in grey on brick link then to me it is able to fit it with rest of the castle just fine it will still look better than the white frames of the astronomy tower and the wave seems to have a lot of great minifigures we've wanted for a while. So let's just wait and see until we have set photos and set names whether the wave is horrible or not.
  6. Well that's good to know. It has been a long time since I saw those movies thanks for clarifying mark1991t and Alexandrina.
  7. Has Guyon2002 or Falconfan1414 backed this information about the hooch and Quirrell? Or is there any pictures of what the so called leaker is talking about that he can share with the rest of us? I personally am not taking Cmf6169 information as facts yet he is a relatively new member here and as far as I know no one has backed him up. I would be happy if it turned out to be true and there was some kind of flying lesson set as I don't have Hooch yet and there is some potential for a small attachment to Hogwarts which in anniversary style or not would be nice. I really hope it isn't a new quidditch set and if it is I hope it includes the lower stands and not new towers so people who have the 2018 quidditch set (or 4 of it ) can at least get a few relatively useful builds out of it. On a unrelated topic does anyone know which scene the Dumbledore in blue robes from series one is supposed to go with? I thought the ones that he wore when using the pensive with Harry in HBP were grey but I could be wrong.
  8. I think this is probably for the best. I might take a month or two of being off the forum while the fake leaks reign supreme until someone reliable comes out with real information. Good luck Clone OPatra I don't envy being a moderator during the flood of fake leaks which are sure to start coming soon.
  9. I just thought of something maybe Guyon2002 and Falconfan1414 shouldn't respond to the leaks from KA1. Hear me out let's say he is lying (I am not saying he is but hypothetically) and he says we are getting a d2c Grinngotts and then either Guyon2002 or Falconfan1414 would say no that's wrong were not getting that (In this hypothetical scenario I am not saying we aren't getting a d2c Grinngotts and that I know no Grinngotts is happening) then he's kicked off the forum for promoting fake leaks. All is well? No, because then he can create a new account this time saying the d2c is a microscale Hogwarts expansion then that's debunked and slowly we cross off each possible idea for a set until eventually KA1 hits the nail on the head and guesses correctly. I am not saying I don't want to know what the d2c is but I don't want to risk losing 2 reliable sources of information over it maybe it is best if KA1 doesn't share his information.
  10. I doubt KA1 has any real info if he did he said that his source wasn't strict about sharing information so then why not share it now? That's not to say I am %100 sure he doesn't have real information but his story is starting to not add up.
  11. That was the list he created when we were making up the wish lists for the august wave. There is always a chance he now has information so before a moderator kicks him let's see his new list but for now I take anything he says with a mountain of salt (until it is confirmed by someone else).
  12. Can you give any cryptic hints now? Could you DM guyon2002 or falconfan1414 about it because they both know stuff about it and they could confirm you have real correct information? Also will there be info on the rest of the august wave you can share?
  13. I was rearranging my Hogwarts when I remembered that the upper part of the Astronomy tower comes off. I had no idea why it did that last year but upon closer inspection I realized that it looks (the following is pure speculation) like the new anniversary sets might be able to connect on top of it or in the middle of it which could be cool also I think the reason for the white frames in back is so that people can connect the new Hogwarts in the back of it there. Also did any else notice how in the new hogwarts set with the CoS on the second floor of the building next to the great hall there is a minifigure that appears to be Justin Finch-Fletchley but looks very odd and squashed also it looks like his hair piece is new? and it looks like he is wearing glasses is that accurate to the movies (or books)? Also I think the floor he is on is one box not two because of the Hogwarts crest in the middle and the one the beneath it is also only one box I think.
  14. I thought you said something a few pages back about the august wave being love or hate and then those who really like this one will like the next one. My bad, sorry, I wasn't trying to post fake leaks using your name.
  15. I really like the sets! For a while I have been planning to mod my Hogwarts to build the underside and now these look like they will provide either a decent base to put them on also I think they would work for the back side of Hogwarts for the most part. I don't see a single piece in sand green that doesn't also come in grey so I can swap that easily which is what I was hoping for. From what I see it requires very few modifications which is great to make it look like it is part of the current Hogwarts collection except for the great hall but I believe there is a section behind the potion class room from last year which has a similar shape to the new great hall today I was debating how to add it and it looks like I now know how and if it turns out it is hard to mod then I see many useful pieces among it. Hogsmeade is my favorite by far though it looks amazing and will fit great with my winter village collection. Also, as some one pointed out they can connect to the current Hogwarts actually. If Guyon2002 is to be believed and the people who liked this wave will like the august one then bring it on.
  16. 76391- Battle of Hogwarts normal scale (DH scene) 76392- Gryffindor common room maybe with a hallway with the chamber of secrets has been opened or something written on one of the walls. (non DH scene) 76393- Shrieking shack remake with gold Sirius and a 1 or 2 small Hogsmeade shops to go with it. (remake of original theme) 76394- buildable Fawkes (non minifigure scale buildable model) 76395- remake of Newt's suitcase with new creatures and maybe baby nifflers (remake of past 2018 set) This would actually be a nice wave for me I would be pretty happy even with only one DH set. Happy Birthday Falconfan1414! Also, I am sorry I questioned your leaks.
  17. Wow it seems like everything is back to where it was last year Kingnono is posting fake leaks, the forum has over 100 posts daily, Lego is making bad business decisions, I think this might be the year of 1,000+ pages! I thought about it last night and I feel like their is 2 horrible possibilities for the august wave we haven't considered: 1. Lego makes it entirely a wave with mini dolls and no minifigures and the only sets are remakes so then we can start collecting our 5th Hogwarts (the normal one, the microscale one, the moment one, the anniversary one, and now this) and as a even more horrible twist they make new molds fans have asked for for a while like fang and Cornish pixie but gives them the huge eyes and eye lashes of the friends animals making them useless. don't see this happening but can expectations get much lower? 2. The answer to that question is yes a Duplo wave made up entirely of remakes, I know the chances of this happening are next to nothing but nothing could be worse than that (IMO). I think no one on here would like that so it would fit with the lowering expectations hints, I don't think anything could be worse! (That's not a challenge).
  18. Does this mean you can confirm that Grinngotts isn't the $250 set? If it isn't is it the $120? I really hope it is the $120 with the battle of Hogwarts being $250 but realistically I don't see that happening. For me I don't really care to much about the August wave being all DH themed I just really want a good battle of Hogwarts for either $250 or $120 and maybe a set or 2 to add on to it like a forbidden forest one or something for me the only DH1 set I really want is a grave for dobby (which will never happen as anything but a GWP even then I doubt it will) and anything else is a nice bonus if the $250 set ends up being a battle of Hogwarts and then either the $30 or $40 being the forbidden forest scene from DH2 and maybe the boathouse being whichever one the forest isn't. So I would be fine with this: $250 battle of Hogwarts $120 Durmstrang ship or really anything (maybe Grimauld place) $40 boat house $30 Forbidden forest from DH2 and then whatever is left can be anything I just want those 3 from DH2 really. I really don't want the $250 set to be any kind of set like a train UCS, or a Broom UCS, or Knight bus UCS or anything like that. But if it is at least my wallet is happy.
  19. I still think that the august set wave will be largely DH based. To me a few things don't add up for the case against it. 1. Falconfan is reliable but has anyone else said who is reliable said the same thing about the august wave? 2. What on earth could the $250 set be? It can't be Hogsmeade because Hogsmeade is already happening, Grinngotts can't really be just based on the 1st most people would skip it (if it doesn't have the dragon), I highly doubt it could be a microscale expansion so it just seems like something is off. 3. Wouldn't Guyon have some info on it at this point? And wouldn't he have confirmed Falconfan's "leak" if it was true? I am not saying Falconfan is the new fake leaker of the year but something seems wrong.
  20. I am going to buy both the Umbridge encounter set and the room of requirement one. I want the GWP so I thought I could throw in a moment set. Which of the Hogwarts moment sets would you all recommend? I'm leaning towards the transfiguration one.
  21. I was reading the article from stone wars and I saw that it mentioned a rail car for Harry and Griphook. I hope this doesn't mean that there won't be a mine cart of some kind in Gringotts assuming we get it this summer but assuming we do this might point to a smaller Gringotts than we first expected with no tracks or mine cart inside Gringotts. Maybe Grinngotts is the $120 set. But for me at least there is a bright side to this it could mean that the $250 set is a battle of Hogwarts based set . Also it could mean no Gringotts for this year at least and in the $120 slot a Durmstrang ship . I guess we will have to wait but I think if that information is correct the $250 set could be something besides Gringotts my top guesses are the ministry of magic, battle of Hogwarts, Leaky cauldron and a few other DA shops, or a microscale expansion of the d2c hogwarts. Also, professor Sinistra looks nice.
  22. I am disappointed with the June set wave but may still buy it when it goes on sale. The only one I have interest in really is Hogsmeade. I hope that down the road there are more Hogsmeade sets because only 2 shops just doesn't come close to being a nice display. I really have no interest in a Durmstrang ship to me it would seem like a useless set filling one of the 3 most expensive slots. I know there is a tiny chance of this happening but I really hope that the $250 set is a d2c battle of Hogwarts because (IMO) it is among if not the most iconic part of the books Gringotts for $250 would be ok and though I know it won't happen I wish the $250 set could be a Hogsmeade expansion. If the Durmstrang ship is included in place of the battle of Hogwarts or Gringotts that would be horrible. I would be happy enough if the battle of Hogwarts took the $120 slot if it could cover all the most important parts and include the bell towers and the bridge and then Gringotts was huge with a dragon and carts and everything else. Just please Lego if you read this, no Durmstrang ship or microscale anything!
  23. I really want 2 themes to become a reality, 3 to be given a second chance, and 4 to never take up those valuable action/adventure theme slots. 2 I want: Dungeons and Dragons: The miniatures are crazy expensive and it would be great to have a cheaper option. Imagine all the new molds and prints for minifigures (Dragonborn, Tieflings, Kobolds, etc.). The possible monsters are nearly endless Hobgoblins, Mimics, Beholders, Devils (Though that one definitely isn't happening "look kids come sell your souls with our new Hell wave of sets") and maybe even Tiamat. So many great locations are possible as well for those who have castle sets or liked the theme even if you all don't like D&D there would still be some great sets for your Lego castle world. Really hope this happens maybe sometime after HP ends or even while it is still going I know I would buy these sets in a heartbeat. Also kids who couldn't figure out D&D would still buy them because the sets with battles happening in them because they like that kind of set. Halo: I think some other company has it right now (not sure which) but this theme could be a huge success and if they start planning and working on it now then they might be ready before the next game launches you know sometime a few decades from now. 3 to be given a second chance: Chima if D&D doesn't come out (which it probably never will) then Chima would be great instead. It had when it was still alive those great vehicles, bases, and molds. I miss it. LoTR if D&D doesn't come out the sets from LoTR can be used as models for D&D easily enough (1 stud = 1 foot) especially because they both have elves, goblins, dwarves, and many more shared aspects. But this almost definetely isn't happening until HP is ended which seems to be farther and farther away each day which is both good and bad. Castle if LoTR and D&D don't come out then this works though it wouldn't be nearly as good it seems to be the most likely theme on my list for Lego to make (or remake). 4 not to be made/remade 1. Avatar or Avatar the last air bender dislike both and have no interest in either. 2. Anything with magna or anime as part of the set and the story behind like exo force or monkie kid (Can't it just end already? and let something else take it's place). 3. Anything religious. I am not saying diversity and showing other peoples religions is a bad thing, it's not. But I just don't want forums filled to the brim with racist comments and pointless arguments over something easily avoided and when Lego makes sets like that half the people will be insulted and accuse Lego of making fun of a religious thing and the other half will be happy with it leading to more pointless and endless debates. 4. Anything political. I enjoy talking about politics and debating them but not here and with Lego. Lego should not go that way but I doubt they will.
  24. I really hope Lego doesn't change the animation style for ninjago. At this point I only really watched the show to get an idea of how better to display the sets. The first few seasons were great and there has been a few good ones since. The Anime (or magna not sure which is the correct way to describe animation style) made the show unbearable in the episodes where the weird animation style was used I really hope the show doesn't go in that direction especially for the celebration of 10 years of it but it now looks unavoidable unfortunately. Hopefully it gets a horrible response from fans so they don't expand on that animation style. If that animation style goes on and takes over the show then Ninjago will be as good as discontinued to me. On the other hand assuming it sticks with the style it currently has then I am really excited for the spring and summer sets at first it seemed like 2 easy waves to skip but those islanders and the catamarans especially look to good to pass up. Part of me hopes they go with the summer wave so I can have a great ocean battle of some kind being displayed (I thinking of making some kind of giant ninjago ocean MOC) and the other part of me hopes it is a total flop and the sets are horrible so I can skip them and keep some money in my wallet for Star Wars and Harry Potter.
  25. Anyone else notice the piece on the blue building (third level) with the little cross in the middle? I forgot the correct name but it looks like it might be used to connect future expansion because none of the other ninjago city sets have something to connect directly to it.
