Sup! From what I've pieced together from the collected wisdom of the internet, I'm emerging from my 'dark ages', I think you call it? And have journeyed here to explore new worlds and new brick civilizations, and haphazardly stumble where no Minifigures have bumbled about before!
Probably the usual story. Loved Lego as a kid, huge collection, got older and the struggle is real, got a bit more secure, treated myself to a Lego set that caught my eye because SPACESHIP!, and Bob's your uncle. I ended up buying every set in the NASA inspired theme, and the ISS, and I love them to bits. And with the ongoing distancing policies decided to break the 'ol bin-o-lego out of mum's storage and two weeks of washing later they're all clean and *kinda sorted.
Now I'm looking to explore the hobby a bit! Cue forum entry.
I'm a fan of SPACESHIPS! My favorite theme was Exploriens, favorite set ever was the Exploriens Starship for not just what it was, but because of a very good holiday memory when I received it. (Name probably gave that away). Was also big into the Aquazone and underwater stuffs. I'm also into aviation and work professionally as a A+P mechanic. Other hobbies are tabletop/minis games, and the usual geekery to be found in that direction.
Short term goal is to come up with a good storage/sort system for my Lego. Condense it down somewhat to where I want it focused before any great expansion. Trim the fat as it were.
Long term goal is to show off a mega awesome super cool MOC at a convention. I'd like to do a largish 'City- inspired by NASA' display, possibly in collaboration with any locals once I find them. And have ambitions to revisit the Exploriens Starship with my own fan mega build.
So... Hi!
