  1. I really didn't care much for Wild West before now, but this contest inspired me to make a vignette and a whole cast of characters (who all don't have names minus two people :-|)! My vignette shows my main character, Elizabeth Turner, visiting the graves of her parents. Here's the backstory: Elizabeth Turner, the daughter of wealthy mining industrialist Thomas Turner and his wife, Marianne, was once a regal and well-off lady. Due to his success and general popularity, her father decided to run for mayor when it was election time again. After announcing his decision to the western metropolis of San Hadras; Mayor Cunningham, a ruthless politician and current mayor, was infuriated. Elizabeth came home the next day to find her father dead, her mother missing, and the manor in which they lived in total shambles. A funeral was held for Thomas and Marianne, although Elizabeth knew that somehow Cunningham was involved. Vowing to seek revenge, she decided to become the outlaw Lying Liz Turner, and to destroy Mayor Cunningham. Visiting her parents' graves, she left them a rose and a letter containing her plans; and then set out on her journey with her trusty steed Elena. Although she has become an outlaw, Elizabeth still maintains the level of class she held before her parents' death. Trading her fancy dresses for shirts and pants, and her fan for two pistols, she has shed all from her previous life except for her fiery personality. More images on flickr.
  2. That's a great idea! And I think I have enough to make a decent-sized wheel. Thanks! :-D
  3. Although I don't own any Wild West stuff, I really think this is a neat contest. I've got my main character built, Lyin' Liz Turner. Some of you might be able to guess what she looks like! ;-) Now I just need to make my vignette and a story to go along with it. My entry should be up by the end of the week though. X-D
  4. This might be my final method, seeing as I have the pieces for it. That'd be fine, I'm working on the landscaping and other parts of it right now. ;-) That'd be the most accurate one, but I don't have nearly enough of those pieces; and I'm saving money for The Office Season 3 and the new Family Guy DVDs. :-$
  5. Something as close to that as possible would be wonderful. Any ideas?
  6. Is there any way I could make it bigger? It needs to be able to have Jack, Norrington, and Will on it. If not, I may end up using that design in the end. :-/
  7. I'm starting work on my Isla Cruces MOC, and the only thing I have no idea how to make is the giant water wheel. Would anyone happen to have any ideas on how to do this? Any help would be appreciated. :-D
  8. Thanks very much. And they're both Elizabeth? :-P Really though, thanks! Thank you! Yeah, I bought the whole Gringotts set off of ebay just for that one torso before I discovered the magic of Bricklink. X-D Thanks! I've never used decals before, so I don't really know. Sometimes you just have to think and look really hard to find the right torso. Or, you could just buy them off of Bricklink. :-$
  9. Hehe, also, feel free to leave me comments and notes on flickr, and add me as a contact! I love getting comments and notes and new contacts. *wub*
  10. Planet of the Apes? Haha but thanks! *sweet* If you do post your results! I'd love to see someone else do this, too. :-D
  11. Thank you! I wasn't too fussed about cutting the hair, I have so many brown and reddish-brown Hermione hairpieces it's not even funny. :-D
  12. Yeah, the clock design took me a while to figure out, but I finally decided on that. What Time Chamber would be complete without a grandfather clock? :-P Thank you! And thanks for the compliment on Luna, I've been receiving a lot of those lately. X-D
  13. I already posted these in the PotC custom figures thread, but I want to see what other people think. :-D The first is Elizabeth on Isla Cruces, boy clothes, dual swords, bicorne hat, and all. The hairpiece is a reddish-brown Hermione hair with the top cut off, and the belt is an official LEGO rubber band. Isla Cruces: Front: Back: The second is Liz in Singapore, with her green bathrobe and straw hat (what is the official name for these?!). Singapore: Boat: No Boat: Tell me what you think! :-$
  14. Thank you! I have two black Hermione hairpieces, but I use one for Tia Dalma and one for Jack. I'm also slightly afraid I'll mess up if I cut another one, and my Jack has always been without a hat. He just has a twisty-tie as a bandanna. X-D
  15. Heh, I thought I'd contribute my custom Isla Cruces Liz and Singapore Liz. Isla Cruces: Singapore: The hair is a Hermione hairpiece with the top cut off, and the belt is an offical LEGO white rubber band. X-D I'll post the rest of my characters when I have the oppurtunity to take pictures. :-$
  16. Ha, you're dashing enough. I just haven't been a member very long. ;-)
  17. Definitely, I love her! And thanks, I'm sure I will. ;-)
  18. Thanks to both of you for the warm welcome. :-$
  19. Mine is Elizabeth Swann. Why? Because I love her. *wub*
  20. Today I joined Eurobricks, and tore apart my HP-theme stuff (4757 and 5378) and all 48 of my Harry Potter minifigs, in order to start making POTC (*wub*) stuff. ;-)
  21. Hehe, thanks. And maybe I can help revive the History Board. ;-)
  22. Hehe, thanks. And thanks for noticing the grandfather clock... it took me a while to figure out how to make that work. :-$
  23. I generally don't buy Star Wars sets, but this set looks amazing and the minifigs- wow! *wub* I'll have to add this to my wanted list. X-D
